Organismic Valuing Process

ORGANISMIC VALUING PROCESS

Person-centred theory has an optimistic view of the person or individual. The individual can has potential competency and the abilities of evaluation. The person has the ability to choose. Rogers believed that there was and is a process that the individual can choose to do if they can trust their own judgments and abilities. They can choose certain paths, ways, activities or behaviours and more appropriate to their current situation or condition. Person-centred therapy sessions are led by the helpee and guided by the therapist.
