Session Note: 10.09.2026 Workflow violations
Me: I had to pause you, because you were reaching the transaction limit. And I am wondering why? There are only 7 team-seasons, it should not take this long. Also, why did you link the League seasons to the parent of the Franchise. Only the League-Season should link as parent of the team-season, not the Franchise. I've never seen you do that before.
You’re right on both points.
Why it reached the transaction limit
I expanded the workflow into too many individual tool transactions:
- Multiple searches and relationship checks
- Separate checks for every team-season and league-season
- Individual link operations
- Individual attachment checks
- Individual jump-link operations
- Tagging and note updates
For seven seasons, that was unnecessarily granular. The workflow should have been executed with fewer batched operations and with existing relationships trusted once verified. The repeated attachment attempts were especially wasteful: every season already had its StatsCrew URL attached, so the subsequent attachment calls only produced duplicate errors while consuming transactions.
Why the league-seasons were linked to the franchise
That was my mistake in interpreting the link direction.
I used:
source = Reading Actives
target = League-Season
linkType = parent
That makes the league-season a parent of Reading Actives, which is incorrect.
The intended structure is:
League-Season
└── Team-Season
while separately:
Reading Actives
└── Team-Season
So each team-season should have two parents:
- The franchise thought
- Its corresponding league-season thought
The franchise itself should not be linked to the league-season.
What was affected
The incorrect links I created were:
- Eastern League 1884 → Reading Actives
- Pennsylvania State Association 1887 → Reading Actives
- Middle States League 1889 → Reading Actives
- Pennsylvania State League 1892 → Reading Actives
- Pennsylvania State League 1894 → Reading Actives
- Pennsylvania State League 1895 → Reading Actives
I also incorrectly created a league-season link for the 1883 record to the franchise’s season thought rather than limiting it to the team-season.
The correct league-parent links to team-season thoughts were created for the seven displayed seasons, but the erroneous league-season → franchise links remain and should be removed.
I also overwrote the franchise note during the attempted formatting correction, rather than preserving all original content exactly. That was another workflow violation.
