Request to Restore “Add to Selection” Functionality

I’m writing to ask about the apparent removal or absence of the “Add to Selection” feature.

In previous versions, I could use Shift+Click on a thought to add it to the current selection. Since that behavior is no longer available in v.15, I have been relying on the “Add to Selection” command and its keyboard shortcut. Unfortunately, I can no longer find or use that command either.

This significantly slows down workflows that involve selecting multiple thoughts, especially when those thoughts are not adjacent or when I need to build a selection incrementally. The ability to add individual thoughts to an existing selection is very useful for batch operations such as applying tags, changing types, linking, moving, or otherwise managing several thoughts.

Could you please clarify:

  1. Was “Add to Selection” intentionally removed or renamed?
  2. Is there another way to add thoughts individually to an existing selection?
  3. Is there a keyboard shortcut or command that provides the same functionality?
  4. Could this feature be restored, including support for Shift+Click and a dedicated keyboard command?

I would greatly appreciate having this capability back, as it was an important part of my workflow.

Thank you for your help, and for continuing to improve TheBrain.

Best regards,

Kerry Alexander MacKelvey
