Microsoft Forms
Microsoft Forms is a Cloud App that is a part of Office 365. It provides a simple interface for Native Users, Guest Users, and external users with no connection to the O365 tenant, to respond to a survey or other form based inquiry. The input is collected into an Excel sheet by default, but can also be collected in a SharePoint List using a PowerAutomate connector.
Forms can be created from a Native User account, or from an O365 Group account. Depending on the account used, form responses can be stored in different places. For an explanation of this refer to the list below.
- User Owned Form - A form created in a user account will collect responses in an Excel workbook in the user’s OneDrive.
- Group Owned Form - A form created in an O365 Group will collect responses in an Excel workbook in the Group’s Team Site Document Library
- PowerAutomate Connected Form - Will collect responses in an Excel workbook in either OneDrive or a Team site, depending on the account type used. However, the PowerAutomate workflow will also send the responses to a SharePoint List that is specified in the workflow
