10:28 AM EDT, 09/28/2020 (MT Newswires) -- Great Bear Resources Ltd. (GBR.V) at last look rose 3.95% after reporting on Monday results from its exploration program at its flagship Dixie project in the Red Lake district of Ontario.

Drilling continues to define gold mineralization on 50- to 75-meter centers along 5 kilometers of strike length of the LP fault, to a vertical depth of about 500 m. All 172 LP Fault drill holes completed to date have intersected the structure and gold mineralization, Great Bear said.

Highlights of the results include 4.61 g/t gold over 39.80 m and 3.22 g/t gold over 63.60 m in drill hole BR-166 and 88.70 g/t gold over 1.35 m in drill hole BR-180, the latter being the best gold interval intersected to date within the eastern kilometer of the current grid drill program.

High-grade sub intervals include a high strain zone that assayed 28.26 g/t gold over 5.10 m and a transposed vein zone that assayed 19.78 g/t gold over 8.90 m.

The Dixie project is composed of 9,140 hectares of contiguous claims that extend over 22 km. The $21 million exploration program at the project is fully funded.
