GUANACEVI MINE
Overview
Endeavour acquired its first and highest grade silver mine, Guanacevi, in 2004, located in the 5th largest historic silver mining district in Mexico. Endeavour discovered the first high grade orebody at Porvenir Norte in 2004 and commenced production in 2005. The mines were developed using mechanized, underground, ramp access and the plant was expanded 100% to a 1200 tpd capacity. The Company ultimately found a total of eight new orebodies, and is currently mining three new orebodies at El Curso, Milache and Santa Cruz Sur. During 2020, Guanacevi completed an operational turn-around that returned the mine to profitability after management initiated a number of measures to improve its financial performance.
