TABORNY

The Taborny mine is an open pit heap leach operation located in the South West of the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic in the Far East of Russia, some 125km northeast of the Ikabya station of the Baikal-Amur railway. It is around 200 km from the town of Chara and is accessible by an all-season road.

The mine was acquired by Nordgold in 2007.

Taborny has a processing plant with crushing and heap leach circuits. As ores at Taborny are highly oxidised, the mine employs relatively simple gold extraction technology.
