Herbal alternatives to Risperdal?

Herbal alternatives to Risperdal?

I was laid off and lost my health coverage. Risperdal is what I refer to as my "Anger Management Med", meaning it reminds me to step back and take a deep breath when I'm frustrated. I am low-stress right now, so frustration is not an issue. The issue is: Risperdal helped me get to sleep (I also take Adderall, and tried stopping that to solve this issue). I used to go to sleep around 8-9pm, but since I ran out of Risperdal, I'm up until 2:30am and in the morning I have no motivation to do anything. I am normally very productive. Is there an herbal equivalent to Risperdal? I've tried taking Benadryl to get to sleep, but I'm groggy in the morning. Maybe Melatonin? My sleep has been fitful - waking up literally every 20-40 minutes throughout the night. I am tired of being tired.

As for haterade, I think kava is probably the least likely to interfere with lamictal and provide the effect you want (though through a very different mechanism). The links below are the 2 most potent/effective preparations I've found, and I've been trying different ones for 9 yrs now. Good stuff. However, it DOES taste...weird. Sorta earthy-nutty-pepper and it numbs the mouth. Great if you have cankers, cold sores, or sore throat, too.
