Chromosomal Disorders

Could be Aneuploidy, non-disjunction, dosage effects, imprinting or structural rearrangements.

Chromosomal disorders are genetic conditions caused by changes in chromosome structure or number, leading to developmental, physical, and intellectual challenges, with common examples including Down syndrome (extra chromosome 21), Turner syndrome (missing X chromosome in females), and Klinefelter syndrome (extra X in males). These arise from errors like extra/missing chromosomes (aneuploidy) or structural rearrangements (deletion, duplication, inversion, translocation) and can be inherited or occur spontaneously.
