4 Redundancy

One norm I've adopted in my megabrain is creating some occasional redundancy between thought types, tags and links.

For example, I have various "TO DO" thought types, tags and links. For other brain users this might create unnecessary clutter or needless confusion.

However, I've found that in dense sections of my megabrain brain, a TO DO link will help draw my eye to a TO DO typed thought.

Similarly, a TO DO tag can often be useful when attached to a non-TO DO typed thought. For example, a time sensitive banking thought could be tagged TO DO NOW and linked to the relevant parent with a highlighted TO DO link.

In my experience, this kind of redundancy has actually helped rather than hindered in the process of finding information in my megabrain, so I encourage you to experiment with different ways of typing, tagging and linking information in your brain. You may find that a little duplication may go a long way toward to making your data more recognizable, accessible and easier-to-find.
