Definition of a "Saved" Person
<p>A "saved" person, also called a "believer", and by definition a "saint"1, is someone who, by God's gracious gift of spiritual life2 and faith3, was enabled4 and motivated5 to be convinced6 that Jesus, though He cannot now be seen, is indeed the Lord7, the absolute deity-soverign who must be honored and obeyed8, and as Savior whose perfectly sinless life and subsequent death would be used by God to judicially acquit the person of any sin-guilt9. Having believed in Jesus as Lord and Savior7, the person is saved from God's condemnation for their sin10, is given credit for the perfect righteousness accomplished by Jesus11, is permanently indwelt by God's Spirit12, is "immersed" into and made an essential13 part a living spiritual organism comprised of all saved people14, and is adopted by God as one of His children15, including being given a valuable and durable inheritance16 reserved in heaven for the believer, and the promise of receiving upon the death of the person's present physical body, a new physical body like Jesus' resurrected body17, able to live forever with none of the debilitating effects of sin18.</p>
