19 Ps 119.65 NIV incorrectly represents Heb. perfect tense

Psalm 119:65 (ESV)

65You have dealt well with your servant, O LORD, according to your word.

The tense of the Hebrew verb translated “dealt” is the perfect tense indicated simple past action completed in the past.

The NIV84 mistranslates the verb to represent the psalmist not celebrating God’s past goodness but seeking future goodness:
