God's Enemies
God’s Enemies
This organizing thought gathers biblical material on those who stand in opposition to God and His purposes.
Three main categories:
- Spiritual Enemies of God – satanic powers and hostile spiritual forces, and passages where “enemy of God” language points to spiritual allegiance (e.g., friendship with the world as enmity with God).
- Human Enemies of God – individual people who oppose God or His people, along with examples of their tactics, God’s protection, and His personal judgment on them.
- National Enemies of God/Israel – peoples and nations raised up or restrained by God in judgment or deliverance, showing how He uses and ultimately overthrows national opposition.

- Jumps connect to love‑of‑enemy material (Jesus’ teaching, David’s restraint, etc.), highlighting how God’s call to love personal enemies fits alongside His sovereign judgment on unrepentant spiritual and national enemies.
