Right-wing media liken Massachusetts law expanding abortion access to Satanism, murder, and “human sacrifice”
Women attending the signing of the law, which will allow more patients to receive care in the Bay State, were called “witches” and “shrieking harpies”

Right-wing media figures are melting down over a new Massachusetts law that will widen access to abortion in the state, claiming the law paves the way for “human sacrifice” and comparing the signing ceremony to “a coven of witches celebrating depravity."
In passing the law, Massachusetts joins Washington, D.C., and several other states that have moved to prioritize the judgment of medical professionals about pregnancy and abortion care rather than setting limits based on the length of the pregnancy. Right-wing figures, however, claim without evidence that this will legalize “post-birth abortion,” and that the law was enacted to make it easier to “sell the body parts” of aborted fetuses.
The law prioritizes the judgment of medical professionals, allowing more patients to receive care in-state
- Massachusetts removed gestation-based restrictions on abortions in order to “[give] doctors the final word” on abortions after 24 weeks. The law changed language restricting abortions on a specific timeline to read “an abortion may be performed by a physician based upon the professional judgment of the physician.” While most abortions are performed in the first trimester, abortions in the later stages “often involve situations in which doctors discovered a fetal anomaly late in pregnancy.” One supporter of the law was Kate Dineen, an abortion rights activist who could not receive care in Massachusetts and was forced to travel to Maryland for an abortion after her “son died in utero at 33 weeks.” [The 19th, 8/10/26; NBC Boston, 8/10/26; AP News, 7/31/26; Mass.gov, 8/10/26]
- Several major medical groups, including the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, championed the law, which Gov. Maura Healey’s office says will allow patients facing serious complications to “get medically appropriate care close to home.” A press release from the Massachusetts government noted that under the previous law “some Massachusetts patients were forced to leave the state to receive care” and that doctors had been limited to “a narrow list of statutory exceptions” when determining late-term pregnancy care options. The new framework allows doctors to “exercise their professional medical judgment in accordance with accepted standards of care.” This allows “greater clarity” for doctors who are caring for “patients with complex medical needs.” Lynn M. Yee, who is the vice chair of the Health Policy and Advocacy Committee at the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine, argued that past laws “interfered” with the ability of providers to give “evidence-based care” to their patients. [The 19th, 8/10/26, Mass.gov, 8/10/26]
- A study looking at deaths during or within one year of pregnancy after Roe v. Wade was overturned “found a possible 9.2% increase in pregnancy-associated deaths in states with abortion bans.” One author of the study said that the findings “suggest many preventable deaths have occurred in states that banned abortion” and highlights that efforts to address the “maternal mortality crisis could be undermined by policies that restrict reproductive health care, including abortion.” [Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, 4/27/26]
Figures in right-wing media have linked the new law to Satan, “human sacrifice,” or otherwise evil influences
- The host of Mucho Que Decir Jorge Diaz Diaz argued that the Massachusetts abortion law is “intrinsically something diabolical” and suggested that Healey made a “pact with the devil.” He also suggested the law allowed for “human sacrifice” and that it was “satanic.” [La Nueva Poderosa, Mucho Que Decir, 8/14/26]
- Former Infowars host David Knight suggested that Democrats who support the bill would be yelling, “Hail Satan.” Knight said, “I imagine they've got some Democrats out there in the courtyard yelling, Hail Satan, like they did in Texas when there was the pushback by the protest by the abortionists there.” [Rumble, The David Knight Show, 8/12/26]
- Conservative podcaster Steven Crowder called the law “the evil of human sacrifice.” Crowder said, “I see the practice openly of evil, of human sacrifice, which is what we're seeing as far as abortion law in Massachusetts. … It's an entire room full of women celebrating the evil of human sacrifice and they know it.” [Rumble, Louder with Crowder, 8/12/26]
Right-wing media attacked the women and providers who championed the legislation
- On Newsmax’s Rob Schmitt Tonight, guest Abby Johnson said the signing ceremony looked “like a coven of witches celebrating depravity.” She went on to say that they were “celebrating the right to kill babies.” [Newsmax, Rob Schmitt Tonight, 8/12/26]
- Radio and podcast host Megyn Kelly called the video of the bill signing “disturbing” because “all these women are so grateful for the chance to kill their own unborn child.” [YouTube, The Megyn Kelly Show, 8/12/26]
- Steven Crowder said that the group of women at the signing was “a gaggle of evil women.” [Rumble, Louder with Crowder, 8/12/26]
- Host of the War Room podcast, Harrison Smith, called the women at the signing “shrieking harpies” who want to “murder babies.” Smith said, “Here's the governor signing the law, the lesbian governor signing it into law, surrounded by a bunch of shrieking harpies clapping and giggling at the fact that they can now literally murder babies.” [Rumble, War Room, 8/12/26]
- Daily Wire host Michael Knowles speculated that Healey’s Catholic faith was “fake” and called the women at the signing “witches.” Knowles said, “Big signing, this ghastly woman signing the bill, surrounded by all sorts of witches.” He went on to say that Healey’s “Catholicism is fake” and she “is in a state of grave mortal sin” before calling her an “infanticidal lesbian.” [YouTube, The Michael Knowles Show, 8/11/26]
- Newsmax host Rob Finnerty attacked the women at the signing as “truly sick” for “clapping for murder, clapping for killing babies.” [Newsmax, Finnerty, 8/11/26]
Other figures attacked the law by comparing abortion to infanticide and downplaying potential pregnancy risks
- Harrison Smith also claimed that the bill is not designed to care for “women's health” but instead is for people to “sell the body parts” of aborted fetuses. Smith said, “So, there are a couple things that are motivating this. None of them have to do with women's health. None of them have to do with freedom of association or freedom of choice or women's empowerment. They're as sickeningly evil as you can possibly imagine. The only one you could ever possibly justify in any way, however of a stretch it is, and like I'm saying this to make a point, is you can sell the body parts. You can sell the body parts. So a liver or an arm or a leg or an eyeball from a baby that's nine months is going to be a lot more valuable than a fetus that's six months. So, if you let them gestate until they're basically human, then you've sort of found a workaround of the fact that it's illegal to sell human body parts from human beings.” [Rumble, War Room, 8/12/26]
- Megyn Kelly claimed that for “late term abortion … there are very few things that actually pose a threat to the life of the mother.” Kelly said, “Late term abortion in this country is actually not even controversial. Virtually everyone is against it. I mean it’s just only these loons would favor such a thing. And honestly, at that point in your pregnancy, there are very few things that actually pose a threat to the life of the mother. I mean, I think Lila Rose would tell you at that point, whatever happens, you would just give birth to the baby, they would do what they could to keep the baby alive. But the answer that far along in the pregnancy is not to kill the baby.” [YouTube, The Megyn Kelly Show, 8/12/26]
- While discussing the bill, Fox host Will Cain called abortion “infanticide” and asked what the difference was between a late term abortion and “killing a baby four weeks outside the womb?” His guest, executive director of Catholic Pro-Life Community Cynthia Schmidt, responded that “there is no difference.” [Fox News, The Will Cain Show, 8/11/26; Catholic Pro-Life Community, accessed 8/13/26]
- Conservative media personality and Univista TV host Sanchez Grass claimed Massachusetts is “ready to kill as many babies as necessary.” He said in full that Healey “wants to ensure that women can continue to have abortions freely, no matter how far along they are in their pregnancies. In other words, come to Massachusetts, here, by law, we’re ready to kill as many babies as necessary.” [Univista TV, Sanchez Grass En America, 8/13/26]
- Voz News panelist Alfonso Aguilar claimed abortion is “murder.” He also suggested such legislation “does justify considering whether some effort should be made at the federal level to at least ban abortion after 15 or 20 weeks.” [VOZ Media, Voz News, 8/11/26]
- Scott Jennings said that Democrats had “pushed abortion extremism to its logical and horrifying conclusion.” He added that this “opens the door to ending the life of a healthy, viable baby right up until the moment of birth.” [YouTube, The Scott Jennings Show, 8/11/26]

- ### “These savages” -- Charlie Kirk calls Letitia James “the test case” and demands she “go to jail”
08/21/25 6:28 PM EDT
August 21, 2025, edition of The Charlie Kirk Show, streamed on Rumble
CHARLIE KIRK (HOST): Someone in the audience sent an email, freedom@charliekirk.com. They went a step further. They said, "Charlie, when are these people going to be disbarred or penalized for abusing their law licenses?" I mean, is there anything that we can do? I mean, what they've put President Trump through, is there any accountability for these savages? For these maniacs, what they have done to President Donald Trump?
ALEX MARLOW (GUEST): The test case is Tish James because she was so flagrant that remember, she was tweeting out what Trump owed each day just to poke the bear some more, to gloat, because of the interest rates that were going up. By the way, Trump should've been making money off of that $175 million that was up on bond. He could've invested that in gold, Charlie. He would've had a return on that investment. Trump is owed interest. This is really important. Trump should be paid interest on all the money he had put up on bond that was just sitting there for a year and a half. He's got to collect on that.
But Tish James is the test case. She should absolutely be disbarred. She should probably go to prison. I'm not an attorney, so I don't know for sure, but that would be something that should be in the realm of possibilities. There's no way she should be allowed to practice law at all in this country after this.
...
KIRK: Some people say, "Well, Charlie, you know, we should be better. We should rise above it." Let me tell you. You know what rising above it actually looks like? It looks like that you cannot allow these savages, you cannot allow these maniacs to just continue to go after this without any sort of recourse.
You need to make an example out of Letitia James. Tish James needs to completely be made an example. You know why? Because she tried to make an example of the National Rifle Association and also Project Veritas with James O'Keefe. Anyone that was within the New York turf, she sent out -- her little shock troops all the way after them. She sent her goons after Trump, after James O'Keefe. She sent her goons after the National Rifle Association. The NRA today was not -- is not the NRA of ten years ago, which by the way is a very powerful political thing.
They still exist, obviously, but they've been completely castrated because of Tish James. Like, 95 percent decrease in efficacy because of Tish James' -- her deceit, her treachery, and quite honestly, her dark spirit that she represents. She thinks like a KGB agent. She needs to go to jail. Tish James needs to go to jail.

Indiana’s far-right Christian nationalist Lt. Gov. Micah Beckwith posted a new episode of his "Jesus, Sex, and Politics" podcast in which he doubled down on his warning that Pride Month is "the rainbow beast" and "a state-corporate-pagan alliance to reprogram society."
For nearly an hour, Beckwith and his co-host Nathan Peternel railed against Pride Month and the LGBTQ agenda in general, which Beckwith called "demonic."
"If you've ever studied the origins of, just the history of the LGBTQ movement throughout ancient history and all the way up to today, this is the same demonic spirit that basically just keeps coming back again," Beckwith said. "Back in ancient Israel, there was a goddess, her name was Ishtar, and she was the goddess of transgenderism, a gender-warping goddess. She was a homosexual goddess. Men would give themselves over to lustful acts with other men, women the same, pedophilia, everything like that. They would warp their genders. All those things. Same things that we're seeing today in the LGBTQ movement."
"It's really interesting when you study it because she was always celebrated in the month of Tamar Beckwith presumably meant the month of [Tammuz], which is our month of June, the exact same time," Beckwith claimed. "And she was represented by rainbows in her eyes. Anytime you saw her, you'd see rainbows. And it's like, wow, this is the same demonic playbook just playing out all over again."

Benny Johnson calls Amy Coney Barrett a “repulsive lizard” and a “sick witch”
Johnson: “She didn't deserve to be on the Supreme Court. I disown her.”

:{:{BENNY JOHNSON (HOST): Amy Coney Barrett is a real problem. Amy Commie Barrett is what some, users on the Internet are calling her. I am sickened about her. I want to -- we didn't have time today, but I wanna have a full conversation with Mike Davis about this this week. What the hell is going on with her? Donald Trump put his — stuck his neck out, used all of his political capital to get her into the Ruth Bader Ginsburg seat at the very end of his presidency. }:
Donald Trump said so many nice things about her, advocated for her, fought for her, did all these lavish and wonderful events where he, like, talked about how great she is. Then she has betrayed him time and time and time again on the court. You know, there are some warning signs. There are definitely some warning signs about Amy Commie Barrett, but, it is a despicable thing that this has happened again. You know, there's this — Sandra Day O'Connor was this Ronald Reagan appointee to the court, and she was supposed to be this, like, rock ribbed conservative, and they all go left. They all swing left.}:
What happened yesterday was that five justices who are men voted in favor of the law, which is that the president has the right to deport criminal aliens, and four women voted their feelings. They don't like it. Amy Coney Barrett, she doesn't like it. It hurts their feelings. So Amy Coney Barrett, who I think has like seven kids, two them are adopted from Haiti if I'm remembering this correctly. She has seven kids. Amy Coney Barrett is voting in favor of the terrorists who murder American children and put her children's lives at risk and my children's lives at risk. She is a repulsive lizard. You can see it in this clip. You can see it. Look at the way that she looked at Trump. Sickening. Sickening. So ungrateful, so despicable, spitting in the face of the Constitution, our movement, of the people who fought to get her on the supreme court.
She didn't deserve to be on the Supreme Court. I disown her. I disown it. I disavow. I worked very hard to get her elected. We did a lot of, you know, pushing for her on the seat. We thought this would swing the court to just rational constitutionalism for the rest of my life. And now we get sabotaged by Amy Coney Barrett. Amy Coney Barrett who voted with this, the DEI faculty, in order to bring terrorists back to America. That was what they were voting on. They were voting on an order by the judge to bring the turn the planes around and bring terrorists back to America. Every deportation was supposed to go through Judge Boasberg. Judge Boasberg was gonna sit there as president— they might as well just put a little presidential seal at the end of his gavel, because he was just essentially gifting himself the presidential powers. Amy Commie Barrett.
Now, of course, the three liberal justices voted you know, oh, feelings for the gang members. Amy Commie Barrett voted to bring in terrorists that threaten her children, her seven children, and their lives to bring the terrorists back to America so that we could have a Laken Riley 2.0. What a sick witch. Everybody pray for Amy Commie Barrett, man. Something's going wrong with her. Something's gone horribly, horribly wrong. I'm just — it's sickening. It's disgusting to watch. There's nothing worse in this life than betrayal. There's nothing worse in this life than — on the ingratitude for the people who brought you and made you. And this is a spitting in the face to the movement that picked her and said that she was gonna be good. So I'm pretty angry about all of this.

During the inaugural prayer service, Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde urged President Donald Trump to “have mercy” on undocumented migrants and LGBTQ kids, and right-wing media responded by calling her a “fake bishop” with “deranged political beliefs,” saying her sermon was “heretical” and “satanic,” and claiming she was “forcing left-wing platitudes down everyone’s throat.”
Budde’s comments about mercy provoked Trump
The bishop leading the inaugural prayer service at Washington National Cathedral made a plea to Trump to “have mercy” on behalf of LGBTQ kids and migrants.“In the name of our God, I ask you to have mercy upon the people in our country who are scared now,” said Budde, the Episcopal bishop of Washington, D.C. “There are gay, lesbian and transgender children in Democratic, Republican and independent families. Some who fear for their lives.” She added, “They may not be citizens or have the proper documentation, but the vast majority of immigrants are not criminals. They pay taxes and are good neighbors. They are faithful members of our churches and mosques, synagogues.” NBC News, [1/21/25]|}:
- Trump attacked Budde the next day and demanded an apology. He wrote on Truth Social: “The so-called Bishop who spoke at the National Prayer Service on Tuesday morning was a Radical Left hard line Trump hater. … She was nasty in tone, and not compelling or smart. She failed to mention the large number of illegal migrants that came into our Country and killed people. Many were deposited from jails and mental institutions. It is a giant crime wave that is taking place in the USA.” Rolling Stone, [1/22/25]
- Appearing onThe View, Budde clarified that her responsibility “was to reflect, to pray with the nation for unity” and that her remarks were an attempt to “say we need to treat everyone with dignity, and we need to be merciful.”She stated, “I also realized that unity requires a certain degree of mercy, mercy and compassion and understanding and so knowing that a lot of people, as I said, in our country right now, are really scared, I wanted to take the opportunity in the context of that of service for unity, to say we need to treat everyone with dignity, and we need to be merciful.” She also said she would be open to a one-on-one with Trump, saying, “I could assure him and everyone listening that I would be as respectful as I would with any person, and certainly of his office, for which I have great deal of respect.” Deadline, [1/22/25]
- ## Right-wing media attacked Budde’s sermon as “heretical” and “satanic”
- Fox News host Laura Ingraham called Budde a “radical leftist.” Ingraham claimed it was “not compassionate to have an open border, violent crime, murders of Americans, human and drug trafficking that kills hundreds of thousands and brutalizes others.” Fox News, *The Story with Martha MacCallum*, [1/21/25]
- Fox News’ Sean Hannity said the bishop “made the service about her very own deranged political beliefs with a disgraceful prayer full of fearmongering and division.”He then dismissed her concerns about the demonization of migrants, saying, “If you come in the country illegally, you didn't respect our laws, our borders, and our sovereignty, that would make you a criminal by definition.” Fox News, *Hannity*, [1/21/25]
- Daily Wire host Matt Walsh said that “hell exists for people like Mariann” and called her “exhibit A for why women should not be pastors, priests, or bishops."He added that “she would rather engage in emotional blackmail and blasphemy than preach the word of God” and said that trans kids “fear for their lives because they've been exploited and brainwashed by wicked witches like Mariann.” [The Daily Wire, The Matt Walsh Show, 1/22/25]
- Walsh also said that, “If evil had a face and a haircut, this is what it would look like. It would look exactly like Mariann Budde, the fake bishop of Washington for the Episcopal church.”The Daily Wire, *The Matt Walsh Show*, [1/22/25]
- Fox anchor Martha MacCallum said Budde’s call for compassion was “really a gotcha moment on her part, which I find very uncharitable.” She added, “I thought it was massively inappropriate.” Fox News, *America’s Newsroom*, [1/22/25]
- The Daily Wire’s Michael Knowles belittled the bishop, calling her a “fake priestess lady” and her sermon “heretical.” He said, “It is no wonder that a woman who would mistake herself for a bishop might also confuse a foreign national for an American citizen, or even a little boy for a little girl.” The Daily Wire, *The Michael Knowles Show*, [1/22/25]
- Fox & Friendsco-host Lawrence Jones said Budde “went into some political radical leftist” rhetoric and suggested she “speak to any of the families that were killed by illegals” about mercy.Co-host Ainsley Earhardt declared that people who share Budde’s opinion “are reading the whole border situation in the wrong way,” adding, “It’s not that he [Trump] doesn’t have compassion. … Everyone is God’s child. It’s not about that. It’s about taxpayers paying so much for other people — we’re pouring into the tax base and they’re giving that money to people who are not here legally and are not contributing.” Fox News, *Fox & Friends*, [1/22/25]
- Fox host Jesse Watters said Budde is “the new face of the resistance: woke bishops and insufferable blue hairs.”After playing the clip of Budde asking Trump to have mercy, Watters joked, “I’m sorry, is that the National Cathedral or the DNC?” Fox News, *Jesse Watters Primetime*, [1/22/25]
- Fox’s Will Cain accused Budde of using “a house of worship as a place to project her own politics."He continued: “It wasn't honest. She wasn't seeking to have a conversation out of real earnestness or concern. I think most offensive, Ainsley, is that her concerns were so cliched and wrong. It’s like it was written by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. I mean, it wasn’t sincere in that no one believes LGBTQ kids should be fearing for their lives today. There’s no grounding for that. To go on from that to talking about the human dignity of illegal immigrants, which is not something disputed by Donald Trump — simply their right to remain in America — shows a real dishonesty, and from the pulpit, from that bishop.” [Fox News,Fox & Friends, 1/22/25]
- Right-wing Rumble host Dan Bongino called Budde a “fake bishop” who was “forcing left-wing platitudes down everyone's throat on a moment of supposed national unity.”Rumble, *The Dan Bongino Show*, [1/22/25]
- Right-wing podcaster Steven Crowder called the bishop’s sermon “satanic.”He then attacked her for “chastizing a sitting president over things that he’s never done and threats of actions that will never happen.” *Louder with Crowder*, [1/22/25]
- Anti-LGBTQ social media account Libs of TikTok posted a photo of Budde and wrote, “This is the Bishop who lectured Trump today with trans propaganda. Always the eyes.”Twitter/X, [1/21/25]
- Right-wing radio host Bill Mitchell shared Libs of TikTok’s post and commented, “Good Lord. This Bishop looks demon-possessed.”Twitter/X, [1/21/25]
- Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk called Budde’s sermon “disgraceful,” adding, “She embarrassed herself.” Twitter/X, [1/21/25]
- White nationalist podcaster Stew Peters demanded, “Why does the Episcopal Church allow bull-dykes as bishops?” Telegram, [1/21/25]
- Priest and conservative commentator Calvin Robinson claimed that Budde was “breaking the Church law, by being at the pulpit in the first place,” and accused her of lecturing Trump on “her leftist, radicalist, extremist politics, which just goes to show the mess the Church is in at the moment.” Robinson said, “The Scriptures are very clear on this, that women cannot become bishops. … It goes as far as saying, ‘A woman should be silent in church.’ I know some people with modern ears will cringe at that. But this is what the Scriptures teach us. If we follow the Scriptures, we wouldn’t be in the mess we’re in right now.” Salem News Channel, *The Charlie Kirk Show*, [1/22/25]
- Fox News contributor Mollie Hemingway blamed Budde’s speech on the Episcopal Church as a whole: “We’ve seen a church that really used to be quite large and dominant in American culture that has lost a lot of membership as it traded a clear teaching on Jesus Christ and his life, death, and resurrection for left-wing, usually Democrat Party associated politics." Fox News, *The Story with Martha MacCallum*, [1/22/25]
- Fox host Will Cain said Budde is “somewhat symbolic” of the “woke virus,” which “hasn’t just, you know, government and sports and every other aspect of American culture. It has also infected the church.” His guest and Fox & Friends Weekend co-host Charlie Hurt claimed, “You have a situation where you have the president of the United States who comes in to church to be prayed for and then this is what he’s had to listen — some stupid political lecture from some tinpot politician who couldn’t succeed … in the real political world.” Fox News, *The Will Cain Show*, [1/22/25]
- OnThe Five, co-host Jeanine Pirro called Budde a “nasty clergy woman.” Watters later added, “She's lucky this didn't happen on day one when he was a dictator because he would have put her in prison.” Fox News, *The Five*, [1/22/25]
- Fox's Greg Gutfeld called Budde “Satan.”Gutfeld: “Satan isn't going to show up in red tights holding a pitchfork. It's going to show up like that. She's an imposter, she exploits compassion for terrible, terrible beliefs.” Fox News, *The Five*, [1/22/25]
- OANN host Matt Gaetz attacked Budde, saying she “chose a time honored national and religious tradition to make a noxious political speech.” OAN, *The Matt Gaetz Show*, [1/22/25]
- Fox contributor Tyrus: “She's an activist, and she was pretending to be a person of God.”Fox News, *Gutfeld*!, [1/22/25]

Donald Trump and his Christian nationalist supporters are demonstrating once again that much of the harshest anti-Christian rhetoric in our political life doesn’t come from secular leftists, it comes from right-wing Christian leaders and activists who bitterly trash the faith of Christians who don’t share their religious and political worldviews.
Their most recent target is Episcopal Bishop Mariann Budde, who spoke at the National Prayer Service held at the Washington National Cathedral on Tuesday. Budde talked for about 15 minutes on the topic of unity, using her last few minutes to directly and respectfully address Trump and ask for mercy on behalf of gay, lesbian, and transgender people, immigrants, and refugees.
The same religious-right leaders and activists who have embraced or explained away Trump’s relentless lying, cruelty, corruption, and criminality, were outraged by Budde’s willingness to challenge him over the harmful impact his actions as president will have on many people.
Sean Feucht, a dominionist musician, political activist, and ardent Trump supporter, was contemptuous, referring to Bishop Budde as “the priestess” and saying, “They should let Christians preach next time.”
In a video posted from within the Cathedral, Feucht literally sneered at the interfaith service’s inclusion of “all these random religions and faiths,” concluding, “this was not a church service.” He continued:
We’re gonna go have a real church service with a bunch of folks that were in here. We’re gonna go lift up the name of Jesus because we are one nation under God, not all these other random religions. We don’t all worship the same God. And we definitely don’t worship the God of the LGTBQ mafia.
Feucht’s comments are a reminder that religious-right activists leaders are be quick to claim anti-Christian persecution when they are criticized for their harmful agendas or dishonest rhetoric, but they are themselves quick to attack other Christians. (Marjorie Taylor Greene recently provided another example, attacking the Catholic faith of Martin O’Malley because of his pro-choice position on abortion.)
“The Washington National Cathedral has become the Sanctuary of Satan,” ranted pundit Todd Starnes. He went on to denounce the Episcopal Church as “barely a religion.” He charged that “the blasphemous bishop at National Cathedral preached hate from her pagan pulpit.”
MAGA “prophet” Shave Vaughn declared Budde “a Bishop of Babylon.” Anti-LGBTQ activist John Amanchukwu denounced Budde as “a wolf in Bishop garments,” calling her “heretical” and “diabolical.” Dominionist Jim Garlow complained that it was “torture” to listen to Budde.
The kind of religious-right figures who constantly complain that conservative pastors aren’t preaching enough about politics complained that Bishop Budde would “lecture us about contemporary political positions,” in the words of Choral Ridge Ministries’ Rob Pacienza.
Family Research Council’s Tony Perkins denounced Budde’s comments as “rather pathetic,” tweeting that “The cause of America’s decline was not what was sitting in the pew but what was standing behind the pulpit.” Wallbuilders’ Tim Barton had the gall to complain about Budde “making a political speech from the pulpit” and griped about the service including people of other faiths.
Pastor and Trump apologist Robert Jeffress complained that Budde had “insulted rather than encouraged our great president.” Rep. Mike Collins of Georgia declared on X, “The person giving this sermon should be added to the deportation list.” Alex Jones denounced Budde as a “wokist cult leader.”
Trump himself demeaned Budde on his Truth social feed, calling her a “so-called Bishop.”
Meanwhile, Feucht also posted a celebratory video sharing his excitement that Secretary of Defense nominee Pete Hegseth has invited him to hold one of his Christians-only religious revivals in the Pentagon.
It’s worth noting that other Christians have praised and welcomed Budde’s remarks as an example of the kind of moral courage and leadership that is required in an era when Trump’s MAGA movement has been fully embraced by dominionists and white Christian nationalists. rww

The 11th Hour Faith Leaders Meeting is organized by conspiracy theorist Clay Clark, who once suggested that Trump’s son-in-law might be a Chinese clone
Written by Payton Armstrong
Research contributions from Eric Hananoki
Published 10/18/24
Former President Donald Trump is scheduled to address a group of extreme right-wing media “prophets” and pastors who have claimed that “demonic forces” are behind the popularity of the Harris campaign, declared that Trump is “anointed to be king,” and said that Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris and vice presidential candidate Tim Walz “go to churches that are synagogues of Satan” because they are Baptist and Lutheran.
The 11th Hour Faith Leaders Meeting, scheduled for October 21 in North Carolina, is apparently being organized by Clay Clark, co-founder of the ReAwaken Tour, which holds events across the country that have featured QAnon influencers, pro-Trump“prophets,” Christian nationalists, and figures who have praised Hitler. Clark has promoted numerous conspiracy theories, including that Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, may have been replaced by a clone created by the Chinese government and that the U.S. government created or worsened Hurricane Helene through “weather manipulation.”
Clark revealed in a recent interview that Eric Trump had asked him to organize the event because “we need to get together the nonwackadoodles.” “That was the phrase Eric used, ‘nonwackadoodles,’” said Clark, “the serious faith leaders, the people that are actually committed to saving this country. And he said, ‘Clay, we need to get them together, my father needs to be able to address this community.’” He added that the event is “an invitation-only thing” and “we're vetting everybody very carefully.”
Clark claimed in an interview with Pizzagate conspiracy theorist Jack Posobiec (who also stated during the interview that he will attend the event) that “of the faith leaders and the pastors that are committed to coming to this event — which is an invite-only, you can’t buy a ticket — so far, we have over 300 million YouTube subscribers represented in the audience, so that means we have some of the biggest, needle-moving pastors and faith leaders that are coming from all across America to hear directly from Donald J. Trump.”
Although a list of attendees does not seem to be publicly available, Clark has suggested multiple pro-Trump “prophets” and outlets will be in attendance and even speaking alongside Trump. Promoting the event, Clark said that “some of America's leading pastors will be in attendance — people like Jonathan Cahn, Mark Driscoll, Robin Bullock. I mean, it's going to be incredible. Steve Shultz, ElijahStreams.” Clark also noted in a separate interview that “prophet” Amanda Grace would be in attendance.
The figures Clark mentions as planning to attend notably stem from an influential “prophetic” charismatic Christian movement that has been mobilizing supporters ahead of the election and reportedly believes reelecting Trump is part of a spiritual war against demons.
Here are some of the extreme media figures and supposed “nonwackadoodles” that Trump will be addressing, according to Clark:
- Jonathan Cahn is a “doomsday prophet” and author who has claimed that the Bible predicted Trump’s 2016 election and suggested that progressive cultural change is a result of ancient gods influencing cultural shifts. Cahn has claimed that an ancient goddess is “seeking to possess an entire generation” into supporting LGBTQ rights and compared abortion to “child sacrifice.” He also recently spoke at the “Million Women” worship rally in Washington D.C., where he used a sledgehammer to hit a “pagan altar to ‘Ishtar,’ an ancient Messopotiamian goddess whom he claims is behind ‘the sexual immorality that that enslaves this culture,’” per Rolling Stone. In an interview with Posobiec, Clark confirmed that Cahn is “going to be one of the speakers.”
- Robin Bullock is a pastor and self-proclaimed “prophet” who has said that “Trump was anointed to be king twice,” claiming that Trump has “been president this whole time” and “heaven recognizes him as president.” Bullock also bizarrely claimed to have traveled into the future and prevented an assassination attempt against Trump. He has also claimed that he “watched [God] create the world one time,” predicted that the “glory” of God “will invade the halls of Congress” and “demon-possessed congressmen are going to manifest,” and said that there are “witches and warlocks employed” at the U.N. “advising government officials.”
- Amanda Grace is a self-proclaimed “prophet” who shares her prophetic visions, which she claims come from God, on YouTube and other streaming platforms. Grace has said that the “Lord warned” her that an assassination against Trump would happen and likened Trump to David avoiding assassination in the Bible. She has also pushed bizarre rhetoric, warning of highly technologically advanced “mermaids and water people” spreading “wickedness” and calling for “hand-to-hand combat.”
- Steve Shultzis the host of ElijahStreams, an online streaming outlet that hosts “prophets” and “prophetic guests” who have pushed extreme rhetoric on the program, including guests who attributed the Maui wildfires to “demonic attack” by a fire-breathing dragon upset over the legality of abortion and who invoked QAnon conspiracy theories. Shultz himself has pushed conspiracy theories, including linking the 2024 solar eclipse to CERN’s Large Hadron Collider restarting and a comet supposedly passing on the same day, claiming it was an “occultic opportunity” for them “to open up a gateway for Satan to come out.”
- Mark Driscoll is a right-wing pastor who previously resigned from a pastorship after being accused of bullying and mismanagement of church funds. He recently suggested that “demonic forces” are “driving the surge” behind the popularity of the Harris/Walz campaign. He also attacked Harris for being Baptist and Walz for being Lutheran, declaring that “they go to churches that are synagogues of Satan.”
Eric Trump has promoted the 11th Hour Faith Leaders Meeting to several prophetic media figures, including on ElijahStreams and in an interview with
, during which Trump said Clark had been “the backbone of so much of this event.”
Since Donald Trump left office, he and his family and allies have increasingly engaged with and embraced extreme prophetic media, including figures who have asserted that Trump has been “anointed” by God. Clark even bragged last year that “Trump’s inner circle is embracing the prophets.”
Members of Trump's “inner circle” also appeared at another event organized by Clark on October 18. The two-day event is also supposed to feature right-wing commentators who have pushed the conspiracy theory that Hurricane Helene was a controlled or manipulated weather event.

Mark Driscoll and Sean Feucht Say Harris/Walz Are Backed by Demonic Forces

10/04/2024
by
Christian nationalist worship leader and right-wing political activist Sean Feucht
a podcast hosted by controversial right-wing pastor Mark Driscoll last week to discuss the topic "Is America Doomed?"
During the course of their discussion, both Feucht and Driscoll asserted that Vice President Kamala Harris' success in the presidential election is due to demonic power.
"There is some serious demonic sorcery witchcraft thing going on here that would even remotely make this race tight because for three and a half years, these guys have destroyed America on every level," Feucht claimed. "And now you have a person that is actually convincing a lot of America that she is going to do something she hasn't done in the last three."
"That's the most mind boggling thing to me," he said. "You've got to be under some serious wicked spell to buy into that."
"How are people not awake? It's shocking to me," Feucht added. "I'm hoping that there will be some kind of supernatural awareness that's going to come in the next 40 days."
Driscoll—who resigned from his previous pastoral position in 2014 amid allegations of arrogance, bullying, and treating staff in a "domineering manner" only to launch a new church in 2021, prompting former elders to declare him to be "unrepentant" and "unfit" for ministry—went much, much further in his attacks on Harris and her running mate, Gov. Tim Walz.
Driscoll, who has a long history of overt misogyny, began by blaming "suburban women" for Harris' popularity, saying that they will just blindly vote for a woman "because they've been so indoctrinated in feminism."
"I think what's driving the surge—I would call it the Kamalagasm, which is driven by the media—is a lot of just classic feminism that says, 'We're just voting for her because she's a woman, regardless of policy or fitness or ability,'" Driscoll said. "Part of that is spiritual, where you do see demonic forces at work in politics."
"You especially see this in the days of of of Ahab, Jezebel, and Elijah," Driscoll continued. "What you see there is Ahab is the the king but he's this passive, weak, soft, incompetent; he's very Bidenesque. Jezebel is very, very powerful. She is really the power behind the throne and she comes with significant demonic authority."
Driscoll then likened Harris to Athaliah, the daughter of Ahab and Jezebel who became the only female monarch to rule over ancient Israel.
"If you read the storyline of the Bible, the only woman that ever held the senior political office in the nation of Israel was Jezebel's daughter, Athaliah," he said. "One hundred percent demonic activity; a clairvoyant spirit at work behind the scenes to enable and allow that to come to pass. ... It seems to me like Kamala Harris is very Athaliahian and working with that same sort of spirit."
"It is anti-God," he added.
Driscoll then attacked Harris for being a member of the American Baptist Church, which he said is a "completely apostate" and "completely anti-God denomination" that is "an abomination." Driscoll likewise attacked Walz for being a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, which he said is a "completely apostate, completely anti-Christ abomination denomination."
"These are people who profess to be Christians," Driscoll said. "They go to churches that are synagogues of Satan."
"Is there not a demonic spirit that is trying to get someone who is anti-Christ but a member of a church and denomination into a political office?" he asked. "If they win, you're going to have literally two people who are anti-Christ but claim to be Christians and members of the church pulling the levers for the United States of America for four years And you know for a fact, if I'm Satan and demons, I'm like, 'Give me the guy or gal who claims Christ but is anti-Christ. How can I help them be more efficient at their undermining mission?'"
"It's nefarious," Driscoll
. "It's horrifying."
Feucht, whose worship services in the U.S. Capitol Rotunda have been attended by members of Congress, is wrapping up a 50-state “Kingdom to the Capitol” tour, which will culminate with a rally on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. on Oct. 26. Sen. Josh Hawley has appeared at previous Feucht gatherings.

JD Vance to appear at town hall with Christian nationalist show whose host has said Kamala Harris represents “the Jezebel spirit” and predicted “sudden deaths” of Trump’s opponents
Lance Wallnau has also already claimed that “there will be cheating” in the 2024 election
Written by Payton Armstrong
Published 09/27/24
On September 28, right-wing “prophet” and self-described Christian nationalist Lance Wallnau’s show is set to host a town hall event with Republican vice presidential nominee and Sen. JD Vance.
Wallnau has a history of extreme rhetoric, including saying that Vice President Kamala Harris represents “the spirit of Jezebel,” lambasting reproductive rights supporters as a “demonic manifestation,” and predicting “sudden deaths” of Trump’s opponents.
The Lance Wallnau Show announced that it will host a town hall with Vance in Pennsylvania on September 28 during The Courage Tour, which religious extremism expert Matthew Taylor described as “a 2020-election-denying, Christian nationalist, conspiracy propagation machine masquerading as a Pentecostal-style Christian revival.”
Wallnau is a prophet and key figure in the New Apostolic Reformation, an extreme right-wing movement “whose followers believe that we are living in an age of new apostles and prophets, who receive direct revelations from God.” According to Taylor, Wallnau was “one of the key Christian mobilizers for January 6th” through his eponymous show and the program FlashPoint, for which he serves as a contributor.
Wallnau frequently pushes extreme rhetoric and conspiracy theories, including framing Democrats as “demons,” asserting that Harris represents “the Jezebel spirit,” and claiming “there will be cheating” in the 2024 election.
- Reporting on Vance’s planned attendance at Wallnau’s event, NBC News noted that the right-wing pastor “said after this month's presidential debate that Vice President Kamala Harris used ‘witchcraft.’”
- Wallnau claimed “the left is loaded with demons,” saying, “I don't think it's people anymore — I think you're dealing with demons talking through people.” In June, Wallnau suggested that there is a “demon that is talking through” Harris.
- In July, Wallnau declared that Harris represents “the spirit of Jezebel in a way that will be even more ominous than Hillary [Clinton] because she'll bring a racial component and she's younger.” Earlier this month, Wallnau said: “When you’ve got somebody operating in manipulation, intimidation and domination—especially when it’s in a female role trying to emasculate a man who is standing up for truth—you’re dealing with the Jezebel spirit. … So, with Kamala, you have a Jezebel spirit, a characteristic in the Bible that is the personification of intimidation, seduction, domination and manipulation.”
- On his show, Wallnau said that Harris is an “aggrieved female … who will paint [herself] as a black minority against a white majority,” and represents “Hillary Clinton 2.0” but “with an augmented heat seeking missile capacity” to “stir up strife and civil war.”
- Wallnau has suggested analyzing current events through the context of a “demonic spin cycle.”
- After Roe v. Wadewas overturned, Wallnau said abortion rights supporters protesting the decision were a “demonic manifestation.” Wallnau claimed: “I now realize that when the devil is mad, God is glad. And a lot of the time the political mechanism is such that when you see the left having a meltdown and getting hysterical, it’s maybe because God is actually taking ground back.”
- Wallnau connected Vance’s selection as the GOP nominee for vice president to “prophecy.” Wallnau titled the July 15 episode of his show “Viral Prophecy Predicted Trump Being Shot In Ear & JD Vance as VP Months Ago,” claiming that he predicted Vance’s pick on a June episode of FlashPoint.
- After Trump was indicted for falsifying business records, Wallnau said that “elites in Washington” are “happy that this is happening, but I’ve been listening to prophecies lately about sudden deaths, and it looks to me like there could be some sudden deaths coming in May. In May, you’re going to see some of the disciplinary hand of God come down upon those people that have been standing in the path of what he wants to do.”
* Wallnau has already claimed that “there will be cheating” in the 2024 election, claiming in July, “The drop boxes is where they’re going to put fake votes. They’re going to do multiple votes. They’re going to drop wads of votes.”
- Wallnau has praised dictators, including Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and Russian President Vladimir Putin, who he celebrated for targeting “the LGBTQ doctrine … like a good dictator does.”
Since Trump left office, he and his family and allies have increasingly engaged with and embraced extreme prophetic media, especially programs that assert Trump has “the anointing” from God. Eric Trump ally Clay Clark even noted that “Trump’s inner circle is embracing the prophets.”
Donald Trump Jr. recently spoke at an Oklahoma church led by an extremist right-wing pastor and media figure who has referred to Harris as a “lying whore” and claimed that “Democrats have a demonic obsession with murdering babies.” Eric Trump is scheduled to speak at the same church in October.
Additionally, Trump allies are reportedly planning to infuse Christian nationalism into his potential second administration through Project 2025, the extreme right-wing initiative organized by The Heritage Foundation to provide policy and personnel recommendations if he is reelected.

Trump-supporting “prophets” and “apostles” are functioning as an unofficial arm of the Trump campaign, using their substantial media and social media platforms to repeat Trump’s lies about voter fraud, tell people that God has anointed Trump to be president, and declare that Trump’s opponents are evil and demonic.
“Prophet” Robin Bullock provided another example this week in an appearance on ElijahStreams with host Steve Shultz. ElijahStreams provides dominionist prophets with a significant platform; it claims that 1.2 million viewers watch Shultz’s daily livestream show, and its channel on video platform Rumble has 181,000 followers.
Bullock repeated Trump’s false assertions that President Joe Biden could not have legitimately won the 2020 election, declared that the Democratic Party is “evil,” claimed that the “problems” with “crooked” voting machines have never been fixed, and asserted that Democrats cannot win without cheating.
Trump’s claim that he can only lose if his opponents cheat is designed to undermine his supporters’ faith in the legitimacy of the election process and prime them to respond with rage if he loses. In 2020, that rhetoric led to harassment and threats against election officials and fueled a violent attack on the U.S. Capitol. This year, it is forcing election officials to invest in significant new security measures. MAGA prophets’ spiritual warfare rhetoric—like Bullock saying Democrats “are not just bad, they’re evil”—similarly poisons our political culture.
Democrats’ strategy in the presidential election, Bullock claimed, is to make their candidate popular enough to convince voters that it would be possible for her to win a close election. But Bullock said God is preparing to defeat all those plans:
I saw it in the spirit. And I saw God and the devil playing chess. And the Lord was sitting back like this, just laying back, looking at the chess board. And Satan had his tongue stuck out of his mouth. He was really thinking about his move. And he finally moved one player and sat back like he was so proud. ‘I’ve done it.’ And the Lord in my vision did this [makes sweeping motion with his arm] and then stuck his arm out and just wiped the whole chess board clean and knocked every piece on the floor. And that’s what he’s about to do.
Bullock called on God to give pastors “a David anointing to take down the giant of the deep state elites with their stone of truth.” And he urged pastors to speak up and tell their churches that Trump was anointed by God. If pastors speak up, he said, “this whole thing is done.”
Bullock warned pastors who don’t have the courage to tell people God has anointed Trump, “you and your church will not be spared.”
Along the way, Bullock also talked about witchcraft being deployed against Trump and on the world stage on behalf of globalists. Reflecting an extreme version of religious-right support for Vladimir Putin and other dictatorial leaders, Bullock declared, “The Lord said, ‘Putin is my battle-axe against the one-world regime.’”

Finally, right-wing pastor Robert Henderson issued a decree against Harris, declaring that “the burning, searing, exposing heat of God now causes her campaign and her herself to wither away and become as nothing.”
lance Wallnau Blames the Seduction of Witchcraft for Kamala Harris’ Success
By Kyle Mantyla | September 12, 2024 rww
Shorty after President Joe Biden announced in July that he would not be running for reelection and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris, self-proclaimed Christian nationalist and unabashed Trump cultist Lance Wallnau immediately began posting videos in which he warned that Harris represents “the spirit of Jezebel” and declared that she is “the devil’s choice.”
When Harris bested former President Donald Trump in a debate earlier this week, Wallnau was quick to blame it on “witchcraft,” and then doubled down on that attack Wednesday when he
the “FirePower” show, hosted by fellow Trump cultists Mario Murillo and Todd Coconato.
“What you’re seeing now is a real Jezebel,” Wallnau declared. “When you’ve got somebody operating in manipulation, intimidation and domination—especially when it’s in a female role trying to emasculate a man who is standing up for truth—you’re dealing with the Jezebel spirit. … So, with Kamala, you have a Jezebel spirit, a characteristic in the Bible that is the personification of intimidation, seduction, domination and manipulation.”
“She can look presidential,” he continued. “That’s the seduction of what I would say is witchcraft. That’s the manipulation of imagery that creates an impression contrary to the truth, but it seduces you into seeing it. So that spirit, that occult spirit, I believe is operating on her and through her.”
While Harris is supposedly operating under an occult Jezebel spirit, Wallnau claimed that Trump has “an Elijah mantle on him, probably from the intercession of a million Christians.”
“So, we have to double down in intercessory prayer in the warfare mode of Pentecostals,” Wallnau proclaimed. “We need to close ranks and actually begin to get in a superlative agreement over what we believe we’re hearing God say he wants to manifest, because this election is coming five days after Halloween—another high holy day for all the Satanist crazy people.”
“We’ve got to lean into this thing because the Elijah mantle can break the spell of witchcraft off America,” he concluded. “God can tear the veil and unless that veil is torn, we have a lot working against us.”
Murillo and Wallnau are close spiritual and political allies who are currently leading a “Courage Tour” to swing states ahead of the 2024 election in order to break the “demonic strongholds” in swing states that have supposedly been preventing Republicans from winning elections. The Courage Tour consists of series of multi-day events during which attendees hear from religious-right activists who mobilize them politically during the daily sessions, while the evening sessions are dedicated to spiritual revival and miracle healing. The purpose of these events is, as Wallnau explained earlier this year, to prepare Christians to rule and reign when Jesus Christ returns by training them to “occupy territory now.” As that language suggests, Murillo and Wallnau are associated with the dominionist New Apostolic Reformation.
