Rep. Brandon Gill is a first-term MAGA member of Congress from Texas and the son-in-law of discredited election conspiracist Dinesh D’Souza. And he’s the beneficiary of a remarkable faux-intimate fundraising email from Vice President J.D. Vance.
“It feels like I typed & re-typed this note 100 times,” reads the subject line.
The email goes on to say that the message “is more personal and from the heart than most messages, because it's going to patriots that I feel I can trust as our movement’s closest confidants.”
There’s a lot more:
Every time I stand behind the resolute desk, or walk into a critical cabinet meeting to make a decision surrounded by the most dedicated and fearless men and women in our country, I feel the very weight of our country’s survival in my hands and the responsibility of what it represents — a thin, fragile line between the America we love and the America the radical left is determined to build in its place.
And when I sit alone with my thoughts and my prayers the question I ask myself constantly is “what more can I do?”
That’s when I decided I needed to write this message.
At the end of my life, I want to stand before God Almighty and be able to say with a clear conscience that I gave everything I had to protect the soul of this country.
And all that is just part of a plea to follow a link to read Vance’s “urgent briefing,” which opens with this:
My fellow Americans – this is JD Vance.
Today, I’m coming to you with all my cards on the table, not as “The Vice President.”
I’m coming to you simply as JD, the small-town Ohio hillbilly who loves God, cherishes his family, and somewhere along the way ended up being tasked with a critical mission at one of the most critical moments in American history.
The “briefing” repeats some of the email language about Vance sitting alone with his thoughts and prayers asking what more he can do, before going into now-standard Republican smears about Democrats and progressives:
This isn't about Republicans versus Democrats anymore. I need you to understand that what we are facing is something deeper and more dangerous than a partisan election fight.
We are watching the deliberate, systematic infiltration of American institutions by people who genuinely despise this country's history, who mock our values, who want to dismantle Western civilization itself and replace it with something unrecognizable.
A legion of radical socialist candidates is being recruited, funded, and deployed to take over Congress. And their movement is gaining horrifying momentum as we speak.
Gill is no stranger to that kind of inflammatory rhetoric. Last year, when he was urging the defunding of public broadcasting, he claimed that everyone who works at National Public Radio hates Christians, conservatives, and this country. You'd never know from reading this email that Vance and Gill were both on Fox a couple months ago urging Democrats to tone down their political rhetoric.
Vance goes on. He warns that people who hate Trump and Republicans are filling “Democrat war chests.” It is unintentionally hilarious to have Vance—whose career in public life was sponsored and funded by Peter Thiel—warning that “Big Tech billionaires” are backing Democrats. Still, the stakes he portrays are dire:
If we lose the House this November, there is nothing left to protect us from what these deranged leftists and their socialist agenda will do. The America you and I grew up in — the one we are fighting to hand to our children — will not survive what comes next.
I'll be completely and uncomfortably honest with you: I cannot fight this fight alone.
After more paragraphs praising donors’ commitment and patriotism, Vance finally gets to the point:
I'm teaming up with Congressman Brandon Gill — the youngest House Republican in America, a fighter who takes on the radical left every single day in the hearing rooms and on the House floor with a ferocity I deeply admire — and together we are assembling 10,000 of the most dedicated MAGA patriots in the GOP's top donor files to build the firewall this majority needs to survive November.
Vance signs off with, “For God and for the America we refuse to give up on.”
The fine print reveals that unless a donor directs otherwise, 90 percent of their contribution will go to Brandon Gill for Texas, and 10 percent to Trump National Committee. And the finer print reports that funds going to TNC are allocated 77.5 percent to Never Surrender (Donald Trump’s PAC), 17.5% to the Republican National Committee, and 5 percent to Working for Ohio, Vance’s leadership PAC.

Last week, right-wing broadcaster Mary Walter interviewed psychiatrist Carole Lieberman about her effort to convince the American Psychiatric Association to classify "Trump Derangement Syndrome" as an official illness and add it to the organization's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.
"I put together a classification for mild, moderate, and severe TDS and I'm going to be bringing it into, walking it—literally walking it in—to the American Psychiatric Association very soon," Lieberman announced.
"Each level has approximately 8 to 10 symptoms and you have to have certain number in each category to be able to qualify," she explained. "For example, a mild case would include people who throw shoes at the television set when Trump comes on, or have a meltdown when they hear a song that is associated with Trump, like YMCA. The moderates—and there are many more symptoms, I can't really get into all of them—but for moderates, TDS has taken over more of their lives. And for severe, it's even at a higher level."
Lieberman claimed that people like Rosie O'Donnell, Mary Trump, Jimmy Kimmel, "would-be assassins," and "people who attack Teslas because of Elon Musk" would be classified as having "severe TDS" and therefore require psychotherapy so they can "work on the problems in them that make them hate Trump."
"For men, it has to do with men who have low self-esteem and they are envious of Trump because Trump has the stereotypically all the things that a man—an alpha male—would and should have," Lieberman said. "He has a great education, Ivy League education. He was successful before he became president. He's become president two times. He has a gorgeous wife. He has a wonderful family. All of these things that these men who have low self-esteem either don't have or don't have enough of or don't feel like they'll ever have. So somehow Trump is to blame for their not having these things."
"The women who have TDS are women who have problems with men, starting with the pussy hats," she continued. "So you would work with them to help them; Trump would be the man, like the worst man, the man that they would imagine it would be worse to be married to, because he's an alpha male and because that's what they can't deal with. So you would work with them to try to get them to not have so much hatred towards men, perhaps have good relationships with men. And so you're really not working on the [hatred toward Trump] because if you get into a conversation about like, 'Why do you hate Trump?' They tell you, 'Well, he does this, and this, and this.' It's not about that. Whatever they would say, whatever executive orders they might say, or whatever political thing or sociological thing, whatever they would say that he did that is bad; it's not really about that. It's about their feelings towards him as a man."
On Tuesday, Walter appeared on "The Todd Starnes Show" where, in addition to declaring that liberals are "usually ugly," she claimed that Lieberman is also working to convince Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr. to make TDS a "diagnosable mental illness."
"[Lieberman] is actually helping with classifying TDS as an official diagnosable disease," Walter stated. "HHS Secretary Kennedy is working on doing this to make it a diagnosable mental illness."
"These people are mentally ill," Walter continued. "What do we do with these people? Can we fill up some empty malls in Jersey with them? Like instead of insane asylums, we get like a little mental health hospital going on and we just fill up the old Claire's and the old Bed, Bath and Beyonds and we put beds in there and we house people who are infected with the woke mind virus."
"I love this idea," replied Starnes. "Honestly, because these people, they need to be in some sort of a hospital, some sort of a home. They need professional help is what they need."
"Yes, 100 percent. Exactly," Walter agreed. "That's what Secretary Kennedy is trying to do. They're looking into doing this. And this woman [Lieberman] actually helped form the three levels of TDS and what the signs and symptoms are, what it constitutes. It's all very scientific. We joke about it, but it's actually really scientific."

President Donald Trump and his supporters describe liberals as “radical” and “extreme,” an accusation that one comedy writer describes as “epic-level gaslighting.”
“Republicans have made it abundantly clear, from behind the presidential seal and in the halls of Congress and on all manner of news networks, that the extremists in America are liberals like me,” wrote humor columnist Rex Huppke for USA Today on Sunday. “We are, in the oft-repeated words of President Donald Trump, ‘radical left lunatics.’ We are agitators. Insurrectionists. Thugs. Our ideas are extreme, always. ‘Radical left climate extremism.’ ‘Extreme gender ideology.’”
Yet Huppke pointed out that Trump supporters “all kneel at the altar of a narcissistic conman who eviscerates every democratic norm he comes across and slaps his name on things like a dollar-store Mussolini,” making it ludicrous for them to accuse people who merely want a clean planet and equal rights for all gender identities of being extremist or dangerous.
“As the Republican Party has morphed into an averse-to-democracy cult of personality – 63% of Republicans now identify as part of Trump’s MAGA movement – their labeling of the left as radicals has had to keep pace,” Huppke wrote. “It’s the ‘No I’m Not, YOU ARE!’ approach honed throughout history by bullies and abusers.”
Huppke went on to point out that Trump has failed to solve the myriad problems his administration blamed on the supposed radicalism of President Joe Biden (rising prices, a ballooning national debt, lawfare against political opponents). Additionally, one of Trump’s first acts as president was to pardon the insurrectionists who attempted a coup on Jan. 6, 2021 so that Trump could steal the 2020 presidential election.
“Promoting mass deportation, Trump and his party have proudly dispatched squads of masked and warrantless federal immigration agents across the country, resulting in the killing of U.S. citizens and repeated acts of transparent inhumanity,” Huppke added. “Without any form of approval, Trump had the historic East Wing of the White House demolished to make way for a ballroom funded by corporate and private donors, opening a door for shameless influence peddling.”
He then pointed out, “War, cruelty and racism. Isn't that all a bit extreme?”
Huppke also described as “extreme” Trump waging war against Iran without congressional approval, allowing a Christian nationalist pastor to lead a Pentagon worship service and creating a party in which Young Republican leaders in Arizona, Kansas, New York and Vermont “were found to be swimming in racist and antisemitic chats, saying things like ‘I love Hitler’ and casually using slurs for Black people.” He also mentioned the party’s Islamophobia, proposed $1 Trump coin in circulation and use of a neo-Nazi anthem (By God We’ll Have Our Home Again’) to recruit for the Department of Homeland Security.
“Frankly, I don’t ever want to hear the term ‘radical leftist’ again,” Huppke said. “At least not as long as Republicans are okey doke with a man whose every utterance is radical, a man who has subjugated an entire party and brainwashed them to obey his every whim.”
Huppke, despite being best known as a humorist, is also frequently scathingly critical of Trump. In December he claimed Trump had reached a “new low” after a “decade of Trumpian loathsomeness” because Trump applauded the murder of director/actor Rob Reiner, another frequent Trump critic. In November Huppke urged Americans to confront their Trump-supporting relatives at Thanksgiving, arguing that “at this moment in history, I wholly reject avoiding a subject that, thanks to Trump’s extremism and unquenchable thirst for attention, envelops virtually every aspect of our lives.”
Further into the article he added “not talking politics with your MAGA relatives is letting them off the hook. When a president is routinely bombing boats in international waters, ordering masked federal agents to round up hardworking immigrant families and sidestepping Congress while slapping tariffs on countries willy-nilly, those who disagree with such things have a responsibility to speak up.”

'Make an example of this guy': MAGA pundit wants vengeance on De Niro
Actor Robert De Niro keeps criticizing President Donald Trump — and now pro-Trump commentator Bill O’Reilly wants Trump to “make an example” of the two-time Oscar-winning thespian.
In response to De Niro telling MS NOW’s Nicole Wallace that if Trump refuses to leave office after the end of his term “we have to make him leave,” O’Reilly insisted without evidence in his podcast that De Niro was actually threatening the president’s life.
“What do you mean by that?” O’Reilly asked. “He’s elected. Seventy-seven million people voted for him. What’s ‘we got to get rid of him’? Are you talking about impeachment? What are you talking about?”
After saying it is illegal to “knowingly and willfully” threaten the president, O’Reilly urged Trump to “make an example of this guy,” adding De Niro “better have a lawyer” because he believes the Secret Service should interrogate him.
O’Reilly anti-De Niro rant comes mere days after Trump’s own anti-De Niro rant. While criticizing two progressive Democrats who shouted “You have killed Americans!” at him during his State of the Union address, Reps. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota and Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, Trump lumped them in with De Niro and former talk show host Rosie O’Donnell (another frequent Trump critic).
“When you watch Low IQ Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib, as they screamed uncontrollably last night at the very elegant State of the Union, such an important and beautiful event, they had the bulging, bloodshot eyes of crazy people, LUNATICS, mentally deranged and sick who, frankly, look like they should be institutionalized,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. After saying “they are Crooked and Corrupt Politicians” and “we should send them back from where they came — as fast as possible,” he added they “should actually get on a boat with Trump Deranged Robert De Niro, another sick and demented person with, I believe, an extremely Low IQ, who has absolutely no idea what he is doing or saying — some of which is seriously CRIMINAL!”
It is unclear whether O’Reilly was aware of Trump’s previous threat against De Niro’s First Amendment rights when he called for Trump to “make an example of him.”
In his social media post, Trump added “When I watched him break down in tears last night, much like a child would do, I realized that he may be even sicker than Crazy Rosie O’Donnell, who is right now in Ireland trying to figure out how to come back into our beautiful United States.”
He concluded, “The only difference between De Niro and Rosie is that she is probably somewhat smarter than him, which isn’t saying much. The good news is that America is now Bigger, Better, Richer, and Stronger than ever before, and it’s driving them absolutely crazy!”
Speaking at the Cannes Film Festival in France last year, De Niro said that in America “we are fighting like hell for the democracy we once took for granted. That affects all of us here, because art is the crucible that brings people together, like tonight. Art looks for truth. Art embraces diversity. That’s why art is a threat.”
He added, “That’s why we are a threat to autocrats and fascists. America’s philistine president ha[s] had himself appointed head of one of our premier cultural institutions [the Kennedy Center]," he continued while the crowd applauded. "He has cut funding and support to the arts, humanities and education.”
De Niro was similarly scathing toward Trump in 2023, telling The Guardian that he channeled Trump’s character when playing William Hale, the real-life early 20th century Oklahoma crime boss convicted of cattle rustling, contract killings and insurance fraud during the Osage Indian murders. De Niro depicted Hale in director Martin Scorsese’s award-winning epic film, “Killers of the Flower Moon.”
The Guardian wrote that "at a press conference earlier in the day, De Niro had suggested that Hale's kind of immorality – his entitlement and greed, his racism, his disregard for anyone outside his own bloodline, all of it wrapped up in a kindly aspect – is easy to spot in contemporary politics, in what was a not-so-veiled swing at Trump and a broader swipe at members of the Republican party, accessories to the chaos."
When it comes to the question of whether the First Amendment protects speech that could be construed loosely as threatening to the president, the Supreme Court settled that matter in the 2015 Supreme Court case Elonis v. United States, which revolved around the 2007 Whitest Kids U Know sketch “It’s Illegal to Say…” In that sketch comedian Trevor Moore repeatedly said “I want to kill the President of the United States of America” in various forms before then explaining for the audience that those phrasings were all illegal. After a man named Anthony Douglas Elonis repurposed the sketch to target his wife, the constitutionality of even implying a threat regardless of the context appeared before the Supreme Court, which reversed Elonis’ conviction by 8-to-1.
“As far as making a big splash, I don’t think you can beat going to the Supreme Court,” Moore told Salon about the case in 2020.

Study: Fox News smeared Alex Pretti dozens of times following his killing by federal agents
In the week following Pretti’s killing by DHS, figures on Fox News made at least 75 claims blaming Pretti for his own death or contradicting video evidence

On January 24, Customs and Border Protection agents shot and killed Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old Minnesota intensive care nurse, during immigration enforcement operations in Minneapolis. In the week that followed, Fox News personalities and guests made at least 75 claims about Pretti that either wrongly alleged that he had been violent toward federal agents or directly blamed him for his own killing.
- Video verified by ABC News showed Pretti holding his phone to record CBP agents as a masked agent knocked a woman to the ground, then pepper-sprayed Pretti when he stepped between them. Shortly after, multiple agents pulled him to the ground before two agents fired approximately 10 shots at Pretti, killing him.
White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller and figures from the Department of Homeland Security quickly made public statements claiming Pretti had intended to “massacre law enforcement,” commit “an act of domestic terrorism,” and “inflict maximum damage” — despite video evidence directly contradicting their claims.
In the hours following the shooting, Fox News began running with the Trump administration's narrative and parroting its talking points. Network figures and guests quoted or aired the administration's misleading and false statements at least 22 times in 24 hours after the news broke.

- ## Fox News made at least 75 claims that contradicted video evidence or blamed Pretti for his own death
- Media Matters reviewed Fox News programming from January 24-30 and found that network guests and personalities made at least 75 claims attacking Pretti — either falsely claiming Pretti was violent toward federal agents or blaming him for his own killing.
Fox’s weekend shows airing just after the shooting made the most claims attacking Pretti. On January 24 alone, network figures and guests made at least 32 such claims. As video evidence became harder and harder to refute into the week, shows hosted by Will Cain, Jesse Watters, Sean Hannity, and Laura Ingraham aired the most claims attacking Pretti among all of Fox’s weekday programming.
The number of daily claims against Pretti declined over the following days until footage of a January 13 incident involving Pretti and DHS agents resurfaced on January 28. Fox personalities seized on the footage to once again cast Pretti as an aggressor against federal agents, with the network airing at least 10 additional attacks even as his family stressed that “nothing that happened a full week before could possibly have justified Alex's killing at the hands of ICE.”
Despite their pleas, Fox host Jesse Watters told viewers that in the new video, Pretti “looks like a dangerous, hostile, unhinged male nurse with a loaded weapon who went back for more a week later.”

- Figures on Fox News repeatedly argued that Pretti’s decision to carry a gun justified his killing, with anchor Jon Scott asking why anyone would go to a protest with “a semiautomatic handgun and a couple of magazines,” and former acting ICE Director Jonathan Fahey even claiming the agents “very well could have prevented a major mass shooting of multiple officers.”
Fox News contributors and guests also repeatedly contradicted video evidence by insisting Pretti had behaved aggressively or brandished a weapon. Fox contributor Paul Mauro claimed agents were only “trying to subdue him without using deadly force” when Pretti “pulls out that 9 mm,” former DHS official Charles Marino asserted that Pretti “showed up to this protest, intended to obstruct and confront law enforcement agents, and it turned out badly for him,” and right-wing activist Chris Rufo described him as “a violent leftist agitator … seeking armed conflict with the police.”
Former prosecutor Andrew Cherkasky described the shooting as “essentially a suicide-by-cop type of scenario,” claiming, “It's long been known if you're going to fight with cops and resist in situations that are escalating like this, it is a death wish.”

- Not all Fox personalities embraced the Trump administration’s narrative. Late on January 24, contributor Ted Williams broke with the prevailing Fox coverage, saying that the administration put out a “misrepresentation” of what took place in the video. He continued, “This man is dead, he has a family, and to go out and call him a domestic terrorist without giving any more information is just unacceptable.”

- Fox contributor Trey Gowdy even compared Pretti to Kyle Rittenhouse, adding, “Alex Pretti's firearm was lawfully being carried. It's lawful to carry a gun in Minnesota. He never brandished it. He didn't point it at the cops. … We certainly should not be labelling him as a domestic terrorist who's going to execute cops. There's no evidence to support that.”
But many others on the network continued to churn out false statements and justifications for Pretti’s killing.

The Bolsheviks, a radical minority, trying to impose their will and power on the majority, and they can only do that through fear, intimidation, organized violence, oppression, and the way they often do that is they use women and children. Why? Because children don't know any better and it's frightening to see it happen. And women can have their compassion and their emotions hijacked and they're often the most passionate revolutionaries. I mean, the Manson family, those murders were done by young women who believed in a cause. And when you talk to them, they don't know why.

AN 1 26
Following the recent shooting of Renee Good by an agent for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in the United States, the Donald Trump administration’s latest narrative suggests that “deluded wine moms” are to blame for the violence in ICE-related demonstrations in Minneapolis and across the country.
This mother-blaming is nothing more than an old trick with a new spin.
Organized gangs of ‘wine moms’
A Fox News columnist recently wrote that “organized gangs of wine moms” are using “antifa tactics” to “harass and impede” ICE activity. In the opinion piece, he claimed that “confusion” over the what constitutes civil disobedience is what “got 37-year-old Renee Good killed.”
Similarly, Vice-President J.D. Vance called Good a “deranged leftist” while a new acronym, AWFUL — Affluent White Female Urban Liberal — has appeared on social media.
In framing protesters like Good, a mother of three, as confused, aggressive and “delusional,” this narrative delegitimizes and pathologizes maternal activism.
This strategy aims to divert blame from the U.S. government and its heavy-handed approach to immigration — which has resulted in yet another slaying of a protester by ICE agents in Minneapolis, this time a male nurse who was reportedly coming to the aid of a female demonstrator — while also drawing on a centuries-old strategy of blaming mothers for social problems.
What makes a ‘wine mom?’
The term “wine mom” emerged over the last two decades as a cultural symbol of the contemporary white, suburban mother who turns to a nightly glass of wine (or two) to cope with the stresses of daily life.
The archetype goes back much further, reflected in literature, film and television characters, such as the wily Lucille Bluth of Arrested Development.
Yet, this motif is less light-hearted than assumed: a recent systematic review reveals a strong link between maternal drinking and stress, especially for working mothers.
While it would be easy to view problematic drinking as another example of maternal failure, it is important not to. Here’s why.
Mother-blame in history
Throughout history, mothers have found themselves in the midst of what American sociologist Linda Blum calls a “mother-valor/mother-blame binary.”
When behaving in accordance with socially acceptable and desirable parameters — that is with warmth, femininity and selflessness — mothers are viewed as “good.” When mothers violate these norms, whether by choice, circumstance or by virtue of their race or class position, they’re “bad mothers.”
Mother-blame ultimately reflects the belief that mothers are solely responsible for their children’s behaviour and outcomes, along with the cultural tendency to blame them when things go wrong. Yet, as Blum points out, “mother-blame also serves as a metaphor for a range of political fears.”
Perhaps the most striking example of this is the suffrage movement, which represented a direct challenge to patriarchal notions that women belonged in the domestic sphere and lacked the intelligence to engage in political discourse.
Suffragettes in the United Kingdom — many of them mothers — occasionally used extreme tactics, such as window-smashing and arson, while women in the U.S. obstructed traffic and waged hunger strikes.
These activists were framed as threatening to not only the establishment, but also to families and the moral fabric of society.
Ironically, despite the fact that women’s entry into politics led to increased spending and improved outcomes related to women, children, families and health care, scholars have found that mother-blaming was as common after the women’s movement as it was before.
Contemporary mother-blame
Beyond political matters, contemporary mother-blame is rampant in other domains.
Mothers have been blamed for a wide variety of their children’s psychological problems, including anxiety, depression and inherited trauma. In media and literature, mothers are often blamed for criminality and violence, reflecting the notion that “mothers make monsters.”
When children struggle in school, educators and administrators may blame the mother. Mothers risk being called “too passive” if they don’t advocate for their children or “too aggressive” when they do.
Similarly, the “crazy woman” or “hysterical mother” is a well-known trope in custody law, and mothers may be blamed even when their children are abused by others. Mass shootings? Mom’s failure. The list goes on.
By setting up mothering as a high-stakes endeavour, the cultural norm of mother-blame also serves to “divide and conquer.”
In my sociology research, I found that mothers on Facebook worked to align themselves with like-minded “superior” mothers, while distancing themselves from perceived “inferior” mothers. This feeds into the cultural norm of “combative mothering,” which pits mothers against each other.
An old trick with a new spin
The “wine mom” narrative builds on this historical pattern of mother-blame. It is meant to trivialize, delegitimize, divide and denigrate mothers who are, in fact, well-organized and motivated activists concerned for their communities.
While there are legitimate concerns around maternal drinking as a coping mechanism, the “wine mom” label has begun to represent something different. Mothers are reclaiming the title to expand their cause.
As @sara_wiles, promoting the activist group @redwineblueusa stated on Instagram: “They meant to scare us back into the kitchen, but our actual response is, ‘Oh, I want to join!’”
We should acknowledge that rather than causing societal problems, mothers have a long history of trying to fix them, even if imperfectly. Mothers like Renee Good are no exception.

Right-wing media escalate attacks on young women voters following Democratic election wins across the country
Clay Travis: “They've all gone insane, young women are actually insane in this country”
Written by Jane Lee, Isabella Corrao & Helena Hind
Published 11/07/25
In the wake of Democrats’ sweeping election victories across the country on November 4, right-wing media quickly focused their ire on young women, who voted overwhelmingly for Democratic candidates.
Figures across right-wing media expressed fear over the demographic, with Newsmax host Carl Higbie labeling “liberal white women” as “the biggest threat to America — they will literally vote for their own destruction and take everyone down with them.” The response from right-wing media to women exercising their right to vote ramps up a trend of conservative voices attacking liberal women in the past year.
Right-wing media react to young women voters following November 4 elections
- OutKick founder Clay Travis: “They’ve all gone insane, young women are actually insane in this country.” Fox News, *Jesse Watters Primetime*, [11/7/25]
- OnFox & Friends, co-host Brian Kilmeade agreed withFox Noticiashost Rachel Campos-Duffy that the conservative movement should “encourage marriage early” to “get more conservative young women.” Fox News, *Fox & Friends*, [11/5/25]
- OnFox & Friends, Fox Business anchor David Asman: “The figure you don’t have that's the scariest is 66% of Democrats now have a favorable view of socialism. And if you skew that to the young, it's much bigger than that. Over 80% of young women in New York City voted for Mamdani.” Fox News, *Fox & Friends*, [11/5/25]
- Fox anchor Martha MacCallum on young women voting for Democrats: “I find that very frightening.” MacCallum was responding to anchor Dana Perino, who declared, “What we saw last night across the board is that young American women are very much far-left.” Fox News, *America’s Newsroom*, [11/5/25]
- Newsmax host Rob Schmitt: “Young women in this country have become a very scary demographic.” He added that “84% of young women in New York voted for Mamdani last night. They voted to make the city dramatically less safe for themselves.” Newsmax, *Rob Schmitt Tonight*, [11/5/25]
- Fox News host Jesse Watters blamed college-educated “single women” for supporting Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani in New York City, saying, “They are the force here.”Watters ranted: “You’re in a tiny apartment, and the apartment’s getting really expensive because all of these migrants are here now. And it's also expensive because of the Green New Deal, so your utilities are high, and you've got the wrong degree. You should have gotten a degree in, like, chemistry, biology, finance, computer science, something useful in this high-tech AI economy. No, but you got a degree in, like, Southeast Asian feminist literature.” Fox News, *The Five*, [11/5/25]
- Fox host Will Cain: “It’s young women showing up for Democrats. About 80% of women aged 18-29 voted for winning Democrats in New York, Virginia, and New Jersey last night. Women 30-44 overwhelmingly cast their vote for the Democrat candidates. So, I've been asking this question for quite some time: What's wrong with white women?” Fox News’ Lisa Kennedy Montgomery, who goes by Kennedy, responded: “These broads are so fickle.” Fox News, *The Will Cain Show*, [11/5/25]
- Newsmax’s Carl Higbie: “This is why I say liberal white women are the biggest threat to America — they will literally vote for their own destruction and take everyone down with them.” Higbie claimed, “The left has turned women against strong male figures. … Those same liberal women will absolutely call someone like me or someone else that's alpha when they need to be defended, and when those men do defend them — once they're safe and sound, of course — they turn around and they put them on trial like they did with Daniel Penny. That is the mindset of the modern liberal woman. This is why I hate liberal women.” Newsmax, *Carl Higbie Frontline*, [11/5/25]
- Fox News host Laura Ingraham: “Female voters 18-29, 84% voted for Mamdani, 79% voted Spanberger, 81% for Mikie Sherrill. … What the heck is going on with female voters, especially young female voters?” Fox News, *The Ingraham Angle*, [11/5/25]
- OnThe Will Cain Show, Fox News contributor Brett Cooper said: “Looking at the election results of the last couple of days, I'm not surprised at all that young women went incredibly left. I think that young women, it is said, are the most left-wing group in history.” Fox News, *The Will Cain Show*, [11/6/25]
- ## Conservative media figures have spent the last year criticizing and fearmongering about liberal women
- Fox News contributor Miranda Devine on American women supposedly adopting the4B movement, a South Korean feminist protest “to swear off men”: “It's just a very self-defeating protest. And I don't think it’ll last all that long, but it shows just you how unhinged a lot of liberal women became over Donald Trump.” Fox News, *Fox & Friends*, [11/12/24]
- Hannity guest Drew Pinsky suggested women who were upset by Trump’s reelection had been “propagandized to the point that they literally have become mentally ill.”Pinsky: “The whole headline here, Sean, is hysteria — hysteria and delusion — and the source of this has been mainstream media. The American public has been propagandized to the point that they literally have become mentally ill. And the thing about delusionality is it can’t be reasoned with.” Fox News, *Hannity*, [11/12/24]
- In response to reports that women were embracing the 4B movement, Fox host Sean Hannity declared, “The hysteria on the left, it’s only getting worse.” Guest Adam Carolla remarked, “As far as the sterilization thing, I wish these women’s moms had thought about sterilizing themselves before they hatched out these little demon seeds.” Fox News, *Hannity*, [12/2/24]
- Discussing some women’s responses to Trump’s 2024 presidential win, Lisa Kennedy Montgomery said: “It's really terrifying because, you know, I look at the women who were shaving their heads and the ones who were having their fallopian tubes removed, and I'm like, maybe for the better, you know. It’s like, you seem very unstable.” Co-host Harris Faulkner responded: “Undiagnosed mental health issues in this country are not a joke. And I am concerned, wholeheartedly, that where we have gotten now with this sort of political victimhood that these women are talking about is really dangerous.” Fox News, *Outnumbered*, [12/3/24]
- OnThe Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show, co-host Clay Travis said: “The Democrat Party, by and large, is almost exclusively the party of college-educated white women. And college-educated white women are not behaving like almost any other white person on the planet. What's going on here? Why are they the outliers?” Premiere Networks, *The Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show,* [3/19/25]
- :{:{Conservative commentator Jordan Peterson: “I read recently that … 60% of young women with a liberal political orientation have a diagnosed mental illness. … I'm wondering about this immense rise in neurotic mental illness that seems to be characteristic of our culture.” The Daily Wire,:(style="background-color:#ffbb16ff"):}: *The Jordan B. Peterson Podcast*, [3/24/25]}:
- Discussing video of a woman attempting to steal a man’s MAGA hat,Outnumberedco-host Emily Compagno claimed, “This is just the perfect illustration of what upper class, elite, over-educated women and people think of MAGA voters and Trump supporters.” Fox News, *Outnumbered*, [3/26/25]
- Fox News host Greg Gutfeld said, “The overwhelming majority of protesters are angry women.” He continued to explain that “radical female leftists” want to “be in places where they aren't wanted. They want to like get in your face and scream and yell at you.” Fox News, *The Five,* [5/12/25]
- OnThe Faulkner Focus, OutKick founder Clay Travis said: “One of the people that you talked to on the street, a younger woman probably in her 20s or 30s, I think is emblematic of what I would say the woke mind virus is when she said, well, if they identify as women, they should be able to play as women.”He continued, “I would love to ask that person who you interviewed, Harris, what if I identified as a 12-year-old boy and wanted to play Little League Baseball?” Fox News, *The Faulkner Focus*, [5/21/25]
- Peterson said, “I think it’s something in the neighborhood of 50-60% of liberal young women in particular between the ages of 18 and 34 who suffer from at least one diagnosable mental disorder.”Right-wing political commentator Megyn Kelly responded, “I’m not surprised to hear those stats about liberal women in particular. … The schools today try to exploit young girls' and young women's empathy to bend them to their Democratic norms.” The Daily Wire, *The Jordan B. Peterson Podcast*, [6/2/25]
- OnThe Ingraham Angle, Pinsky complained: “If the progressive female is going to be completely rejecting of anybody who is not mirroring their likes and dislikes, it's going to be a very sad time for them. I mean, it is just — first of all, you’re eliminating more than half of the country, and you're approaching men in a way that they don't like. You’re marginalizing them.”He continued, “They talked in that article, I think it was in the New York Post, about how young single males are resentful. Well, of course they are.” Fox News, *The Ingraham Angle*, [8/22/25]
- Newsmax’s Rob Schmitt said there is an “army of liberal, lefty pregnant women just pounding Tylenol as a way of, you know, kind of getting even with the White House.” He continued, “It’s really sick.” Newsmax, *Rob Schmitt Tonight*, [9/25/25]
- Daily Wire host Matt Walsh said, “Liberal female judges are probably the most dangerous people in the entire country.” He continued, “They are responsible for more death and destruction than anyone else.” The Daily Wire, *The Matt Walsh Show*, [10/30/25]

SEAN HANNITY (HOST): Now they can't do a thing until this -- what is this called? The kings -- No Kings rally that they're having around the country, all over the country on Saturday. By the way, wherever you live, find out where these rallies are and stay and keep your family as far away as possible. That is my tip of the week. Don't go to those rallies. Don't have anything to do with it.
Now, if you want to report on it, just know you're putting yourself into a hostile area, and God only knows what some of these lunatics on the left are capable of.

STEVE BANNON (HOST): I talked to Madeline about the Insurrection Act and what President Trump's doing in cities like Portland, and cities like Chicago, and what will happen in Memphis and Los Angeles. And she writes, they don't think they're actually part of the United States, because they're not part of the United States right now.
They're sanctuary cities run by these - overseen by these radical governors, Pritzker and Newsom, and radical mayors.
And that's why President Trump is, for the sake of the country, in defense of the country, and for the mass deportations, having to do this. Nobody else would do that.

AN 9 25 CLAIM NO SUPPORT
White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller was Vice President JD Vance’s guest on Monday’s edition of “The Charlie Kirk Show,” just days after the right-wing political commentator was assassinated. The suspected gunman’s motives and political beliefs remain unclear, but the vice president pinned the blame for Kirk’s murder on “left-wing extremism.”
“While our side of the aisle certainly has its crazies,” Vance declared, “it is a statistical fact that most of the lunatics in American politics today are proud members of the far-left.”
The vice president did not define “lunatics,” but statistics from the Cato Institute show that the vast majority of political violence comes from the far-right.
Guest-hosting for the late organizer and activist, Vice President Vance viewers, “I wanted to zoom out and talk with Stephen [Miller] a little bit, and talk about all of the ways that we’re trying to figure out how to prevent this festering violence that you see on the far-left from becoming even more and more mainstream.”

The vice president—who placed blame at least in part on the left for Kirk’s death—said, “we have to talk about this incredibly destructive movement of left-wing extremism that has grown up over the last few years, and I believe is part of the reason why Charlie was killed by an assassin’s bullet.”
“We’re gonna talk about how to dismantle that,” he continued, “and how to bring real unity, real unity that can only come when we tell the truth and everybody knows that they can speak their mind about the issues of the day without being cut down by a murderer’s gun.”
Miller, who is considered by many—including some highly respected conservatives—a skilled propagandist, on Friday spoke out against what he called left-wing violent extremism.
“I’ve not shared with anybody, but the last message that Charlie Kirk gave to me before he joined his Creator in heaven was, he said that we have to dismantle and take on the radical left organizations in this country that are fomenting violence.”
“That was the last message that he sent me before that assassin stole him from all of us.”

“And we are gonna do that,” Miller vowed. “Under President Trump’s leadership, I don’t care how—it could be a RICO charge, a conspiracy charge, conspiracy against the United States, insurrection—but we are going to do what it takes to dismantle the organizations and the entities that are fomenting riots, that are doxing, that are trying to inspire terrorism, and that are committing acts of wanton violence.”
“It has to stop,” he declared, “and my message is to all of the domestic terrorists in this country spreading this evil hate? You want us to live in fear? We will not live in fear, but you will live in exile. Because the power of law enforcement under President Trump’s leadership will be used to find you, will be used to take away your money, take away your power, and if you’ve broken the law, to take away your freedom.”

“These savages” -- Charlie Kirk calls Letitia James “the test case” and demands she “go to jail”}:
08/21/25 6:28 PM EDT
August 21, 2025, edition of The Charlie Kirk Show, streamed on Rumble
CHARLIE KIRK (HOST): Someone in the audience sent an email, freedom@charliekirk.com. They went a step further. They said, "Charlie, when are these people going to be disbarred or penalized for abusing their law licenses?" I mean, is there anything that we can do? I mean, what they've put President Trump through, is there any accountability for these savages? For these maniacs, what they have done to President Donald Trump?
ALEX MARLOW (GUEST): The test case is Tish James because she was so flagrant that remember, she was tweeting out what Trump owed each day just to poke the bear some more, to gloat, because of the interest rates that were going up. By the way, Trump should've been making money off of that $175 million that was up on bond. He could've invested that in gold, Charlie. He would've had a return on that investment. Trump is owed interest. This is really important. Trump should be paid interest on all the money he had put up on bond that was just sitting there for a year and a half. He's got to collect on that.
But Tish James is the test case. She should absolutely be disbarred. She should probably go to prison. I'm not an attorney, so I don't know for sure, but that would be something that should be in the realm of possibilities. There's no way she should be allowed to practice law at all in this country after this.
...
KIRK: Some people say, "Well, Charlie, you know, we should be better. We should rise above it." Let me tell you. You know what rising above it actually looks like? It looks like that you cannot allow these savages, you cannot allow these maniacs to just continue to go after this without any sort of recourse.
You need to make an example out of Letitia James. Tish James needs to completely be made an example. You know why? Because she tried to make an example of the National Rifle Association and also Project Veritas with James O'Keefe. Anyone that was within the New York turf, she sent out -- her little shock troops all the way after them. She sent her goons after Trump, after James O'Keefe. She sent her goons after the National Rifle Association. The NRA today was not -- is not the NRA of ten years ago, which by the way is a very powerful political thing.
They still exist, obviously, but they've been completely castrated because of Tish James. Like, 95 percent decrease in efficacy because of Tish James' -- her deceit, her treachery, and quite honestly, her dark spirit that she represents. She thinks like a KGB agent. She needs to go to jail. Tish James needs to go to jail.

AN 8 25
The Wall Street Journal reports the White House will conduct a sweeping review of Smithsonian museum exhibitions, materials and operations to align it with President Donald Trump’s interpretation of American history.
Three top White House officials, said the Journal, sent a letter to Lonnie Bunch, the secretary of the Smithsonian Institution, claiming they want to ensure the museums’ “unity, progress, and enduring values” reflect President Donald Trump’s executive order calling for “Restoring Truth and Sanity to American History.”
The White House intends to inspect and adjust public-facing exhibition text and online content. It also wants to have a say in future exhibition planning, as well as the use of collections and artist grants, say Journal reporters.

“This initiative aims to ensure alignment with the president’s directive to celebrate American exceptionalism, remove divisive or partisan narratives, and restore confidence in our shared cultural institutions,” states the Aug. 12 letter.
Critics railed against Trump’s January executive order demanding a Trump-approved version of U.S. history that erases chapters that fail to align with Trump’s vision of American greatness, reports the Guardian.
“He’s ignorant of economic history, he’s ignorant of political history. And his idea for the 250 [anniversary] is to use it as a way to celebrate him,” said Jonathan Alter, a historian and biographer to the Guardian. “We don’t know yet exactly how he’ll hijack that event next year, but he will certainly try to do so.”
The Journal reports Trump singled out the Smithsonian Institution in his executive order, claiming the Smithsonian had “come under the influence of a divisive, race-centered ideology” that promotes “narratives that portray American and Western values as inherently harmful and oppressive.”

The Smithsonian’s Board of Regents had already agreed to conduct a thorough review of its museum and zoo content to eliminate political influence and bias, according to the Journal.
This may not be the first time the White House has tinkered with museum exhibits. After outcry, the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History restored references to Trump after removing them from a presidential impeachment display in late July.

PARROT TRUMP? RUBBER MAGA TAKEOVER
June 16, 2025, edition of Premiere Radio Networks' The Sean Hannity Show
SEAN HANNITY (HOST): I watched some of it, there's only so much I can take, but one thing that is clear is the left in America has absolutely, positively lost it. And you can see the attacks on John Fetterman just get louder and louder and louder, and "How dare that he take on the radicals in his own party?"
So, you have the "No Kings" protests over the weekend. They claim millions of people showed up all around the country. Okay. You have the radical left-wing lunatics, but the bigger part of the equation is they've taken over the Democratic Party.

AN 6 25
Just one day after a widely criticized, multimillion-dollar military parade marking both the U.S. Army’s birthday and his own—and amid millions attending thousands of nationwide “No Kings” protests—President Donald Trump announced on Sunday night a new crackdown targeting undocumented immigrants exclusively in Democratic-led strongholds, declaring that blue cities “are the core of the Democrat Power Center.”
Some critics also note that the move comes after a suspect, reportedly a Trump supporter, allegedly assassinated a Democratic Minnesota lawmaker and her spouse and gravely shot and wounded another Democratic lawmaker and his spouse on the same day as the anti-Trump rallies in all 50 states.
In a 400-word Sunday night “order” on social media, President Trump claimed that Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents (ICE) every day face “threats from Radical Democrat Politicians,” as he announced “the single largest Mass Deportation Program in History,” before baselessly claiming voter fraud.
READ MORE:‘Coup’: What DHS Secretary’s ‘Liberate’ Comment Means, According to Experts
“Every day, the Brave Men and Women of ICE are subjected to violence, harassment, and even threats from Radical Democrat Politicians, but nothing will stop us from executing our mission, and fulfilling our Mandate to the American People. ICE Officers are herewith ordered, by notice of this TRUTH, to do all in their power to achieve the very important goal of delivering the single largest Mass Deportation Program in History,” the President wrote.
“In order to achieve this, we must expand efforts to detain and deport Illegal Aliens in America’s largest Cities, such as Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York, where Millions upon Millions of Illegal Aliens reside,” Trump continued. “These, and other such Cities, are the core of the Democrat Power Center, where they use Illegal Aliens to expand their Voter Base, cheat in Elections, and grow the Welfare State, robbing good paying Jobs and Benefits from Hardworking American Citizens. These Radical Left Democrats are sick of mind, hate our Country, and actually want to destroy our Inner Cities — And they are doing a good job of it! There is something wrong with them. That is why they believe in Open Borders, Transgender for Everybody, and Men playing in Women’s Sports.”
Critics blasted the President and issued warnings.
“This is illegal on so many levels,” charged John Jackson, a former trial lawyer. “He’s declaring war on specific areas based entirely on their voter registration, which is a form of speech and protected political choice. It’s ‘vote Republican or I will punish you.’ Incredible. Out in the open. Lawless.”
“2 implications of Trump specifically targeting immigrants in Democratic cities: He’s NOT going after immigrants in places where they are least welcome,” observed former Washington Post editor Robert McCartney. “He IS doing what’s most likely to provoke backlash. We conclude that his goal is not to ‘solve’ the problem but to stir chaos.”
“This is the politicization of law enforcement. It’s not about ‘immigration,’ it’s about demonizing cities, harming political enemies and winning elections,” declared The Atlantic’s Anne Applebaum. “Also, those are the cities that had the biggest No Kings protests.”
RELATED: In Reversal, Trump Uses Term Tied to Ethnic Cleansing Amid Renewed Mass Deportation Demand
Pointing to Trump’s full screed, political strategist Rachel Bitecofer noted, “Please go study how the Nazis talked about the Jews to whip the public up into accepting restricting them from society, deporting them, and ultimately murdering them. It will sound a lot like this.”
“Trump is going after Blue cities based on nothing more than the crazy, conspiratorial voices in his head,” wrote Melanie D’Arrigo, executive director of the Campaign for New York Health. “He’s already violating our 1st, 4th, 5th & 14th Amendments, and deploying the U.S. military against citizens in L.A. This is what authoritarianism looks like.”
“He’s openly admitting that he’s politicizing law enforcement,” observed Chuck Todd, the former NBC News Chief Political Analyst and “Meet the Press” moderator. “This will not help ICE’s image because he’s asking them to perform a political task. Throw in the decision to shield the red states from law enforcement and he’s clearly hoping to provoke an angry response. At a moment when we need a president to de-escalate, he does the opposite.”
“Trump’s ugly plan is clear: Incite violence in blue cities & blue states only, and then put the military on the streets in those blue cities & blue states only,” warned former Tea Party GOP Congressman Joe Walsh, now a Democrat and political commentator. “Everything he does is meant to divide us. He is the absolute worst of us.”
“This sort of dehumanizing language about political opponents is exactly what leads to the horrific shootings we saw yesterday, wrote MeidasTouch News. “Disgraceful and dangerous.”
“One of his crazed supporters just assassinated a Democrat and he continues to instigate division and hatred, noted Arizona Democratic state Senator Analise Ortiz. “We need an adult in the White House, not a dictator hell bent on escalating tensions and political violence.”
Progressive media outlet The Tennessee Holler wrote that “the president posting that Dems are ‘sick of mind’ and ‘hate our country’ immediately after 2 Dem lawmakers and their spouses were shot in their homes is the opposite of leadership. Gas on the fire.”
“A US president is supposed to be the president of all the people,” wrote retired Professor of Law Anne Arbor. “This man instead foments hatred of his own political party against his political opponents. This statement verges on a declaration of civil war against half the country.”

BRIAN KILMEADE (CO-HOST): So let's talk Democrats. And for the most part, you're looking at a party looking for leaders. But one thing they are getting is big crowds. And they're getting big crowds where Bernie Sanders and AOC are traveling around. They're going to areas, and there's definitely people out there when you have 49, you know, when you have millions of people vote for Democrats, you can get a big crowd. I'm astounded to see Yale University did a survey, and it says that AOC is now in the second spot behind Kamala Harris as the most popular, but she's supposed to be the working class socialist. A message to those that oligarchs are ruining this country, and the rich are gonna get richer unless she is voted in, and 83 year old Bernie Sanders is the nominal leader.
LAWRENCE JONES (CO-HOST): So you got Kamala Harris at the top of the list.
AINSLEY EARHARDT (CO-HOST): It's — yes, you're right. Yeah.
JONES: She lost every swing state. The American people overwhelmingly rejected her. She was a bumbling mess on the campaign trail, could not complete her sentences accurately. No one really knew what she stood for. And then you got AOC that's right behind her, Ainsley.
EARHARDT: Is she tied with Cory Booker?
JONES: Exactly. A radical. The people in the country aren't gonna sign up for her agenda. I just think it's another double down on crazy.
EARHARDT: You know, this is what, this is what we all feared. I remember when Bernie Sanders came on the scene, and he said, ‘I'm a socialist.' We were like,‘What? No one's voting for you.' Now look at these crowds. This is where our country is going, and it is very, very scary. They are socialist. They are so far to the left. They are progressive.

Right-wing media baselessly promoted claim that Tufts student was associated with Hamas — an internal State Department memo said otherwise
In the weeks after a video of Rumeysa Ozturk’s arrest was released, figures across the right-wing media landscape parroted the administration's false claims, frequently accusing Ozturk of being “pro-Hamas”
Written by Harrison Ray & Noah Dowe

Following the arrest of Tufts graduate student Rumeysa Ozturk, right-wing media were quick to cast her as a “pro-Hamas radical.” According to new reporting, however, the State Department had determined ahead of her arrest “that the Trump administration had not produced any evidence showing that she engaged in antisemitic activities or made public statements supporting a terrorist organization,” despite the Department of Homeland Security’s claims that Ozturk “engaged in activities in support of Hamas.”
- ## Ozturk was arrested despite a lack of “any evidence” that she “engaged in antisemitic activities or made public statements supporting a terrorist organization"
- :{On March 25, federal immigration agents arrested Tufts University graduate student Rumeysa Ozturk over supposed “activities in support of Hamas.” In an emailed statement to The Washington Post, the Department of Homeland Security claimed that “DHS and [Immigration and Customs Enforcement] investigations found Ozturk engaged in activities in support of Hamas.” The Post also reported that the Trump State Department had accused Ozturk of supporting Hamas, apparently over an op-ed Ozturk co-authored last year for the Tufts student newspaper “criticizing the university’s response to the Israel-Gaza war.”
- To date, Ozturk has not been charged with any crime, but her student visa has been revoked and she has been relocated to a detention center in Louisiana. The Associated Press, [3/26/25; Politico, 4/3/25; The Washington Post, 4/13/25; WBUR, 4/11/25]}:
- Secretary of State Marco Rubio “did not offer specifics” on Ozturk’s detainment, but he suggested that his criteria for revoking visas includes “vandalizing universities, harassing students, taking over buildings, creating a ruckus.”At a news conference, Rubio told reporters, “Every time I find one of these lunatics, I take away their visas.” The Washington Post, [3/27/25]
- According to The Washington Post, the State Department had determined prior to Ozturk’s arrest that “the Trump administration had not produced any evidence showing that she engaged in antisemitic activities or made public statements supporting a terrorist organization.”The State Department memo, according to the Post, appeared to undermine the administration’s claims and “said Secretary of State Marco Rubio did not have sufficient grounds for revoking Ozturk’s visa under an authority empowering the top U.S. diplomat to safeguard the foreign policy interests of the United States.” The Washington Post, [4/13/25]
- ## Right-wing media figures parroted the administration, frequently characterizing Ozturk as “pro-Hamas”
- Newsmax host Rob Schmitt said Ozturk was “evidently a rabid pro-Hamas protester.” Schmitt cheered on the administration, saying, “We’re seeing how they’re getting this cancer slowly out of our country.” Newsmax, *Rob Schmitt Tonight*, [3/26/25]
- Newsmax host Katrina Szish applauded the administration, saying it was “taking a hardline stance on foreign students attending U.S. colleges and universities with affinities for terror groups.”Szish also parroted the Trump administration's claim that Ozturk “engaged in, quote, ‘activities in support of Hamas.’” Newsmax, *American Agenda*, [3/27/25]
- Schmitt later claimed Ozturk “moonlighted in pro-Hamas activities while enjoying the liberties of a Western education.”The network host added, “Ah, you a little scared, Rumeysa?” Newsmax, *Rob Schmitt Tonight*, [3/28/25]
- Newsmax host Chris Plante called Ozturk a “pro-Hamas agitator.” Plante also complained, “That is not a genocide [in Gaza], but … the people that she's defending are calling for an actual genocide of the Jewish people.” Newsmax, *The Right Squad*, [3/28/25]
- Fox News guest and Washington Times correspondent Susan Ferrechio noted that Ozturk “did write an op-ed in support of Hamas."When fellow panelist Olivia Beavers said “being pro-Palestinian, pro-Palestine, doesn’t necessarily mean you’re pro-Hamas,” host Howard Kurtz responded, “Well, Hamas does rule that territory.” Fox News, *MediaBuzz*, [3/30/25]
- Plante criticized media coverage of the arrest, citing research from Media Research Center to argue, “The media spent 10 times more airtime on the arrest of the pro-Hamas Turkish agitator at Tufts University last week than they spent on the arrest of the MS-13 thug.” Guest Mercedes Schlapp remarked, “Sometimes you have to wonder if the legacy media just loves Hamas, which is kind of disturbing.” Newsmax, *The Right Squad*, [4/2/25]
- Newsmax host Lidia Curanaj claimed Ozturk was a “pro-Hamas Turkish agitator.” Curanaj cited MRC research to call coverage of Ozturk “hypocrisy from the leftist media.” Newsmax,*The Count*, [4/5/25]
- Blaze Media’s Joseph Mackinnon claimed Ozturk was a “pro-Hamas radical.”Blaze Media, [4/5/25]
- ## Right-wing media figures defended Ozturk’s arrest
- Former Heritage Foundation research fellow Joel Griffith said it was “disturbing” that Ozturk “remained in the USA so long” and called to “deport her now.” Twitter/X, [3/27/25]
- Fox & Friendsco-host Brian Kilmeade praised the administration's arrest of Ozturk: “I love the message it's sending to other students causing unrest.” Fox News, *Fox & Friends*, [3/27/25]
- The Federalist correspondent Brianna Lyman defended Ozturk’s arrest: “This is about whether openly anti-American and anti-West foreigners have a right to be here.” The Federalist, [3/28/25]
- Post Millennial editor Angy Ngo accused “leftists” criticizing the administration's handling of Ozturk's arrest of wanting “to encourage mass migration by those who agitate against US interests.”Twitter/X, [3/28/25]
- In a segment about Columbia student Mahmoud Khalil, Kilmeade questioned “why any Democrat would stand up for [Mahmoud] Khalil who's sitting in Georgia, or with this Tufts woman, who is also in Georgia, who is writing anti-American phrases and acting out over at Tufts.” Fox News,*Fox & Friends*, [3/31/25]
- Discussing Ozturk’s arrest, Fox anchor Harris Faulkner quoted a Washington Examiner op-ed by conservative writer Ian Haworth: "‘This isn't about free speech. It's about something deeper: the suicidal idea that America has some moral obligation to tolerate foreign-born subversion in the name of tolerance. That's not tolerance; that's surrender.’"Fox News, *The Faulkner Focus*, [3/31/25]
- Daily Wire writer Jacob Falach praised the arrest of Ozturk as “a move in the right direction.” Falach added, “She is just one of countless students across the country who share a radical ideology.” The Daily Wire, [4/13/25]

CLETA MITCHELL (ELECTION INTEGRITY NETWORK): And so there have been a lot of different changes that have been made in legislation and in statutes around the country. And that's a good thing but it's not enough. We have to do more.
But the biggest thing I think is that the RNC, to their credit, have filed a lot of lawsuits. They haven't won as many as I would have liked but at least they've been aggressive before the election and the other thing is we have citizens, we have so many volunteers who are trained who now know the election code better than most lawyers in their state and they are involved and they're engaged and they're working as poll observers and many of them have become election board members and election officials and so we have a presence and we have eyes on the process that we really didn't have in 2020And of course it makes the left's collective head explode. They hate it. T. hey hate me, they hate the Election Integrity Network, and they hate everything that we're doing which tells me we're on the right track.

The special counsel who investigated and charged Donald Trump over his attempts to subvert the 2020 election said in a final report released by the U.S. Justice Department early Tuesday that the former president would have been convicted for "a series of criminal efforts to retain power" had he not won another White House term in November.
"But for Mr. Trump's election and imminent return to the presidency, the office assessed that the admissible evidence was sufficient to obtain and sustain a conviction at trial," wrote Jack Smith, who resigned from the Justice Department late last week ahead of Inauguration Day.
Smith pointed to the Justice Department's view that "the Constitution prohibits the continued indictment and prosecution of a president," a position he said is "categorical and does not turn on the gravity of the crimes charged, the strength of the government's proof, or the merits of the prosecution, which the office stands fully behind."
The report, which Trump's legal team sought to bury, is the first of two volumes that Smith's team produced following the completion of its investigations into the former president's unlawful election interference and hoarding of classified documents. Smith dropped the two cases shortly after Trump's victory in the 2024 election.
According to the Justice Department, Smith has urged that the volume on the classified documents probe not be released to the public while the case against Trump's former co-defendants is still pending.
"Trump worked with other people to achieve a common plan: to overturn the election results and perpetuate himself in office."
In the newly released report, Smith detailed how Trump and his allies tried to "induce state officials to ignore true vote counts," manufactured "fraudulent slates of presidential electors in seven states that he had lost," directed "an angry mob to the United States Capitol to obstruct the congressional certification of the presidential election," and leveraged "rioters' violence to further delay it."
"In service of these efforts, Mr. Trump worked with other people to achieve a common plan: to overturn the election results and perpetuate himself in office," the report added.
Trump responded furiously to the report's release, ranting on social media that "Deranged Jack Smith was unable to successfully prosecute the Political Opponent of his 'boss,' Crooked Joe Biden, so he ends up writing yet another 'Report' based on information that the Unselect Committee of Political Hacks and Thugs ILLEGALLY DESTROYED AND DELETED, because it showed how totally innocent I was, and how completely guilty Nancy Pelosi, and others, were."
In his introduction to the report, Smith rejected as "laughable" Trump's claim that that the investigations were politically motivated or influenced in any way by the Biden administration.
"While we were not able to bring the cases we charged to trial, I believe the fact that our team stood up for the rule of law matters. I believe the example our team set for others to fight for justice without regard for the personal costs matters," Smith wrote. "The facts, as we uncovered them in our investigation and as set forth in my report, matter. Experienced prosecutors know that you cannot control outcomes, you can only do your job the right way for the right reasons. I conclude our work confident that we have done so, and that we have met fully our obligations to the department and to our country."

TUCKER REDEMPTION PENSION?
7 24 rww
Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson closed out the all-day Heritage Foundation policy fest on the first day of the Republican National Convention. He warned the crowd that they are in a “spiritual battle” against “anti-human” forces that want to “eliminate” Christians.
In a strange choice for talking to political activists, Carlson began by describing politics as a “repulsive” process and politicians in general as ruthless and power-hungry and miserable people. But he said he is “thrilled” by Trump picking Sen. J.D. Vance as his running mate, because “every bad person I’ve ever met in a lifetime in Washington was aligned against J.D. Vance.” Carlson said that was because “they thought he would be harder to manipulate and slightly less enthusiastic about killing people…that he would be an impediment to their exercising power.”
Carlson veered into spiritual warfare rhetoric, saying that since he spoke at the Heritage Foundation’s 50th anniversary celebration 15 months ago, he has experienced “a total change in the way that I see the world,” explaining, “this is not ultimately political. This is much deeper…There is a spiritual battle underway.”
From Carlson’s remarks:
And I think what happened on Saturday, the assassination attempt against President Trump, reminded a lot of people this, or awakened a lot of people to this. There is a spiritual battle underway. There is no logical way to understand what we’re seeing now in temporal terms. You just can’t.
These are not political divides. There are forces, and they’re very obvious now. They’ve decided, for whatever reason, to take off the mask, whose only goal is chaos, violence, destruction. And there are the rest of us who, once again, are not always certain we’re right, but we know that that’s bad and we’re against that, sort of standing, watching, thinking, ‘Is someone going to explain to me why this is politics?’
This is not politics at all. This is much deeper and older and more recognizable than that. This has been going on since the beginning of time. And I do think, by the way, that the more literal among us, and I would count myself in that category, fail to see this because we’re so desperate to ascribe some kind of recognizable human motive to what we’re seeing.
So we call it leftism or neoliberalism or communism or anarchism. We come up with some phrase to describe it, but those phrases are inadequate. They do not describe what’s actually happening. So what you’re seeing now is really not at all different in substance from what you saw in 1789 in France, from what you saw in 1936 in Spain, from what you saw in 1917 in Russia, from what you saw in 1975 in Phnom Penh. It’s all the same. These are forces of chaos and destruction which are fundamentally anti-human, which are against people.
Carlson railed against a number of movements he described as “anti-people,” including what he called “the climate cult.” He told the activists to pay close attention to what makes “them” angriest.
What group do they dislike most? What group are they absolutely terrified of and hoping to eliminate? Well, it’s Christians. That’s who it is. It’s Christians. … The group that makes them angriest, triggers them most, I guess we would say now, is Christians. Christian nationalism. People pray outside abortion clinics. People celebrate Easter, not trans visibility day. These are their real enemies.
Carlson talked about religious persecution during the Cultural Revolution in China and the French Revolution. He said at the start of the Spanish Civil War, the “anti-Christian” side opened fire on a statue of Jesus. “If you find yourself firing bullets at a statue, what you’re really doing is revealing your deepest priority, and that’s to kill Christians,” he said.
“I don’t know if any Christians here or people who are interested in continuing to live in the country you grew up in, but these are the terms and these are the stakes,” Carlson said. “They are not the ones that we’ve been told they are–left versus right, Republican versus Democrat.”
Carlson also talked about the assassination attempt on Donald Trump, saying that Trump’s show of strength—fist raised in defiance—had won him the election, because people want and need strong leaders.
After delivering his remarks, Carlson engaged in some Q&A with Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts. In response to a question about what kind of conversations people could have to bring their friends and neighbors into the MAGA movement, Carlson said they should pray for people who are willing to accept the status quo. He then veered into a diatribe against “weak men,” saying that fathers should be willing to beat up school counselors who “indoctrinate kids and try and turn them into freaks, circus freaks.” Roberts agreed, saying that “what we’re all yearning for is just a return to normal. And it is normal for a strong man, for a man period, to respond the way you describe to the school counselor.”
Asked about what kind of message the Trump team should be delivering, Carlson said the campaign was trying out a “unity message,” to which he responded:
And a lot of people hear “unity” and they think, well, unity implies some sort of compromise conversation. You can’t have a conversation with people who are unwilling to compromise. The left, which is a religious movement, is unwilling to compromise on any level at all. They won’t even admit men can’t become women. So you how can you have unity with people like that? And of course, you can’t.
Carlson recommended that Trump’s team ignore his critics and simply show through his actions that he is calm and in command. He urged activists to take Trump’s bravery as a model for their own political engagement.

Middletown Township, Pennsylvania man was arrested after claiming to have beheaded his father, a longtime federal government employee, and posting gruesome video of what he said is the severed head to social media. The suspect, 32 or 33 year-old Justin Mohn, is facing first degree murder charges. He also decried “far left woke mobs,” BLM and LGBTQ people, President Joe Biden, the federal government, and spewed other right-wing conspiracy theories.
“Some of the talking points made by Mohn echoed those of prominent online conspiracy theorists and far-right political commentators,” local news outlet LevittownNow.com reports.
“Mohn made inflammatory statements advocating for attacks on federal employees and properties. He expressed hostility towards illegal immigrants, President Joe Biden, senior federal officials, communists, ‘far-left woke mobs,’ Black Lives Matter supporters, and members of the LGBTQ community,” LevittownNow.com added. “In his rant, Mohn discussed Christian scriptures, called for debt cancellation, called for more adherence to Judeo-Christian values, spoke about human trafficking, and accused a major tech company of tax evasion. Additionally, he claimed that militias should protect him and mentioned previous FBI threats of arrest.”

WPVI, a local ABC affiliate, adds that “Mohn referred to himself as a militia leader and called his father a traitor to the country for being a federal employee for 20 years.
“In the video, which YouTube has since removed, the son called his father a ‘traitor’ and said he’s happy that he is dead,” The Philadelphia Inquirer adds. ”’He is now in hell for eternity,’ he said, according to the complaint.”
The New York Post notes that in the since-removed YouTube video, “the man, who identifies himself as Justin Mohn, says to the camera before going on an unhinged rant against the government in line with QAnon conspiracy theories, calling for ‘militias’ across the US to unite and kill federal officials ‘on site.'”
“Mohn faces charges of first-degree murder, abuse of corpse and possessing instruments of crime, according to a Middletown Township Police Department criminal docket viewed by The Post,” the paper adds

Infowars host and chief conspiracy theorist Alex Jones warned on Sunday's show that "foaming-at-the-mouth Black people" would wage war on white populations after they flee "race-specific bioweapons" attacks in Africa later this decade. Jones issued these racist predictions while declaring himself a "vessel" of God.
"They intend on making the world so hellish in the build-up to 2030 that everybody will just 'wink, wink' when they release the race-specific bioweapons starting with Africa that are gonna wipe that continent absolutely out. And you'll be under such invasion from the refugees of the economic warfare in Africa that you will quietly, while you're playing cards with your buddies say, 'well, it had to be done.'And when you go along with that metaphysically, spiritually, culturally, the devil's got your soul," said Jones.
"So I don't like the big giant African hordes being brainwashed against us and the left programming brown people to hate white people. It's all part of a plan, folks. It's all part ofa very sophisticated planand I don't just study history. I don't just study the New World Order," Jones continued. "I have the Holy Spirit. Doesn't mean I'm a perfect vessel, far from it. But I do have deep connection to God and God tells me that if I take part in wiping out the brown people, the Black people, that I will be cut off from God. We’re supposed to lift each other up."
Jones then encouraged responding through violence.
"Now that doesn't mean when a gang of racist,foaming-at-the-mouth Black people come to rape, rob, or kill you, which is just, it's out of control right now, that you don't defend yourself and kill every person you need to protect your family if they're attacking you," he suggested.
"That said though, just because they're brainwashed, some of them, and are being part of that doesn't mean we have to fall into the brainwashing either," the right-wing provocateur added. "And they tell you everything they're doing in the movie, the 'Kingsman,' where they send out the program through the cell phones andcell phone towers to make everybody start killing each other. That's what Klaus Schwab talks about, the angrier world, this is part of that plan. And so the Black people that have succumbed to this have succumbed to it through mind control. Doesn't make them any less dangerous."

united States Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-Florida) appeared on a recent edition of Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia)'s podcast and suggested that Congressman Jamie Raskin (D-Maryland) is unable to do his job because his son committed suicide.
Raskin served as the House of Representatives' manager of former President Donald Trump's second impeachment for inciting the January 6th, 2021 Capitol insurrection. Raskin also sits on the Select Committee investigating the attack, which was triggered (at least in part) by Republican lawmakers refusing at Trump's behest to acknowledge President Joe Biden's victory in the 2020 election.
Now, with just 24 hours remaining before public hearings revealing what the bipartisan congressional commission has found begin, Gaetz and Greene have launched a new and unusually cruel offensive against Raskin.
"When people encounter trauma, they often associate a lot of the other things around that trauma with it, even if they don't naturally or even rationally associate. And what I worry about for the Congress and for Jamie Raskin, you know, no one would ever want to lose a child, particularly to suicide," said Gaetz.
"As human beings, our hearts go out to him. But I think that he takes that trauma and he associates it now with his work in the Congress to such an interwoven way that he's unable to do the congressional experience outside of just the dungeon of that personal trauma," Gaetz continued, "and I think it makes him look at everything in these very like, dark and severe ways."
Greene agreed.
"You know, we try to come to the job to uplift people," Gaetz resumed.
"We're here to serve the people," Greene interjected.
"Well and we love this country," Gaetz added.
"Absolutely," said Greene.
"We're not here out of a sense of grievance or hatred. We love America," Gaetz said.
"No we love it," Greene chimed in again.
"And we want to vindicate the rights of our citizens and we want to champion their causes andbattle their dislikes," Gaetz remarked.
"Yes that's right," Greene said.
"But I think for Jamie Raskin, it's really like, his service in the Congress has almost become like inextricably attached to this sad personal trauma he's had," Gaetz proclaimed. "And I do think it clouds his judgment and you could see that, that very darkness and that pain manifest on Thursday in a way that's not particularly relevant to the challenges that we've talked about, but it might be deeply relevant to what he's going through. And the country shouldn't have to go through all that with him."
Greene then stated the quiet part out loud.
"Well my goodness, it's a horrible thing, what he went through, but it doesn't change the fact of, uh, his political beliefs," she said, "and I believe he's a communist and I believe what he's doing on the January 6th Committee is completely wrong."

no lnx fox News host delivers 7-minute screed calling Democrats a ‘cult in a never-ending fight with reality’
David Badash and The New Civil Rights Movement December 10, 2021
Fox News is auditioning hosts for its 7 PM “Fox News Primetime” show, and on Thursday night longtime Fox contributor Tammy Bruce went full-force far-right extremist to get the job.
Bruce is no stranger to controversy. In the mid-1990’s she exited as president of the Los Angeles chapter of the National Organization for Women (NOW) after being accused of “racially insensitive comments.” Later, during the first months of the Obama presidency she remarked, “We’ve got trash in the White House.”
But on Thursday night for seven minutes and 13 seconds Bruce was on fire, berating the left and Democrats – blaming them for just about everything by using everything that’s wrong with the right. It was an example of epic projection.
According to Bruce, the left “is a cult in a never-ending fight with reality, hell-bent on making the world bend to their lies, all while trying to silence and destroy anything and anyone who dares to question the orthodoxy.”
READ: Justice Sotomayor blasts the Supreme Court’s right-wing majority: ‘Should have put an end to this madness’]
Sound familiar? Like the right wing of America, who refuse to accept the reality of the coronavirus pandemic, the fact that vaccines, masks, and social distancing work? Refuse to accept that climate change is real and massive voter fraud is not?
Bruce actually uses the word “cult” eleven times in seven minutes.
“I know you’ve heard that the cancer of woke-ism is the left new religion, but it’s actually not. It’s their cultic foundation, a set of rules and instructions met to manipulate and control,” she claimed, never offering up any actual concrete evidence. “Now keep in mind a cult has some basic tenets and behaviors we see not just with the so called progressives, but now being applied by the Biden administration itself, among other aspects, including groupthink as its foundational requirement, questions are not encouraged, and even punished followers are to worship a group leader.”
Here’s a question: Does the left worship President Joe Biden? Hillary Clinton? No.
READ: 'Their sphincters will tighten': Matt Gaetz goes after the FBI
Does the right worship Donald Trump? What do you think?
[pix djt on cross]
:{:{}:
}:
“The cult follows and controls all aspects of members lives, fear and paranoia are instilled to keep followers close and trusting only a fellow members,” Bruce continues. “Outsiders, those who escaped, and opponents are smeared and cast as evil and dangerous and members are monitored constantly to ensure conformity and allegiance to the cultic system. Sound familiar? Yeah.”
Yes indeed.
We need no more recent example than the Fox News Christmas tree, which a 49-year old homeless man set on fire just past midnight on Wednesday. Fox News spent two days declaring it was an attack on America and an attack on Christianity – both of which are false. Police even said it was not a political act. But Fox News got so ramped up they literally compared the attack on their tree to the attack on Pearl Harbor.
READ: Tucker Carlson’s ‘baseless conspiracy theory’ about the Jan. 6 rioters has been forcefully debunked]
“Or what about on COVID?” Bruce asks, somehow pretending it’s not a deadly airborne disease that’s killed 800,000 Americans, “Where double-masked big city liberals meander aimlessly around Manhattan using facial coverings as some sort of partisan signaling exercise, despite being double-vaccinated, many with their boosters, while being socially distanced? That’s not science. That’s insanity. It’s also a way to condition people into having every aspect of their daily lives controlled by a faceless bureaucratic cult. And what about young children still being forced to suffer under masked learning, despite no science to back it up?”
That’s just plain coronavirus disinformation unworthy of any “news” organization. Maybe Bruce should chat with her co-workers over at The Wall Street Journal, who published a report detailing two studies showing students and staff in schools need to be masked. Or the CDC.
After her lie-filled rant Fox News immortalized her fallacious attack by posting the text of part of her speech online, as if it were a valid news story.
It’s not.

https://www.alternet.org/2020/09/is-fox-news-obsessed-with-hate-study-finds-network-uses-this-word-5-times-more-than-its-rivals/
no grafs
Tucker Carlson is a big fan of the phrase 'they hate.' Usually, he's talking about Democrats.
Curd Knüpfer, Freie Universität Berlin and Robert Mathew Entman, George Washington University
Fox News is up to five times more likely to use the word “hate" in its programming than its main competitors, according to our new study of how cable news channels use language.
Fox particularly uses the term when explaining opposition to Donald Trump. His opponents are said to “hate" Trump, his values and his followers.
Our research, which ran from Jan. 1 to May 8, 2020, initially explored news of Trump's impeachment. Then came the coronavirus. As we sifted through hundreds of cable news transcripts over five months, we noticed consistent differences between thevocabulary used on Fox News and that of MSNBC.
While their news agendas were largely similar, the words they used to describe these newsworthy events diverged greatly.
Fox and hate
For our study, we analyzed 1,088 program transcripts from the two ideologically branded channels – right-wing Fox and left-wing MSNBC – between 6 p.m. and 10:59 p.m.
Because polarized media diets contribute to partisan conflict, our quantitative analysis identified terms indicating antipathy or resentment, such as “dislike," “despise," “can't stand" and “hate."
We expected to find that both of the strongly ideological networks made use of such words, perhaps in different ways. Instead, we found that Fox used antipathy words five times more often than MSNBC. “Hate" really stood out: It appeared 647 times on Fox, compared to 118 on MSNBC.
Fox usually pairs certain words alongside “hate." The most notable was “they" – as in, “they hate." Fox used this phrase 101 times between January and May. MSNBC used it just five times.
To put these findings in historic context, we then used the GDELT Television database to search for occurrences of the phrase “they hate" on both networks going back to 2009. We included CNN for an additional comparison.
We found Fox's usage of “they hate" has increased over time, with a clear spike around the polarizing 2016 Trump-Clinton election. But Fox's use of “hate" really took off when Trump's presidency began. Beginning in January 2017, the mean usage of “they hate" on the network doubled.
'Us' versus 'them'
So who is doing all this hating – and why – according to Fox News?
Mainly, it's Democrats, liberals, political elites and the media. Though these groups do not actually have the same interests, ideology or job description, our analysis finds Fox lumps them together as the “they" in “they hate."
As for the object of all this hatred, Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson and other Fox hosts most often name Trump. Anchors also identify their audience – “you," “Christians" and “us" – as the target of animosity. Only 13 instances of “they hate" also cited a reason. Examples included “they can't accept the fact that he won" or “because we voted for [Trump]."
Citing liberal hate as a fact that needs no explanation serves to dismiss criticism of specific policies or events. It paints criticism or moral outrage directed at Trump as inherently irrational.
For loyal Fox viewers, these language patterns construct a coherent but potentially dangerous narrative about the world.
Our data show intensely partisan hosts like Hannity and Carlson are more likely than other Fox anchors to use “they hate" in this way.Nevertheless, the phrase permeates Fox's evening programming, uttered by hosts, interviewees and Republican sources, all painting Trump critics not as legitimate opponents but hateful enemies working in bad faith.
By repeatedly telling its viewers they are bound together as objects of the contempt of a powerful and hateful left-leaning “elite," Fox has constructed two imagined communities. On the one side: Trump along with good folks under siege. On the other: nefarious Democrats, liberals, the left and mainstream media.
Research confirms that repeated exposure to polarized media messages can lead news consumers to form firm opinions and can foster what's called an “in-group" identity. Theus-versus-them mentality, in turn, deepens feelings of antipathy toward the perceived “out-group."
The Pew Research Center reports an increasing tendency, especially among Republicans, to view members of the other party as immoral and unpatriotic. Pew also finds Republicans trust Fox News more than any other media outlet.
Americans' divergent media sources – and specifically Fox's “hate"-filled rhetoric – aren't solely to blame here. Cable news is part of a larger picture of heightened polarization, intense partisanship and paralysis in Congress. [vid "hate & hysteria]
Hannity portrays criticism of Donald Trump as hate-based.
Good business
Leaning into intense partisanship has been good for Fox News, though. In summer 2020 it was the country's most watched network. But using hate to explain the news is a dangerous business plan when shared crises demand Americans' empathy, negotiation and compromise.
Fox's talk of hate undermines democratic values like tolerance and reduces Americans' trust of their fellow citizens.
This fraying of social ties helps explain America's failures in managing the pandemic – and bodes badly for its handling of what seems likely to be a chaotic, divisive presidential election. In pitting its viewers against the rest of the country, Fox News works against potential solutions to the the very crises it covers.

aha: us vs them enemy: we are the reasonable rational people, within accepted norms, but THEY are dangerous, deranged, cannot be reasoned with so MUST be met with FORCE, strict father must punish mis-behavior; [fundamentalist they are evil? end time armageddon?]
RANGE:
alarmist is irrationallyworried about an issue, worst case will get some policy enacted that will increase friction/cost/bureaucracy
activist, same as above but is ACTIVE in street or politics, so can increase cost/damage
extremist sorta tied with militant, but latter ominous suggestion of force? well both do, but hard to picture Pelosi busting out AR 15?; irrational crazy, so only understand force
easy slide over to terrorism (eco economic)
fascist one man alone can fix the (single?) threat/problem
takes immediate swift unilateral Executive order action
aha: do nothing congress was an actual thing, commented on (repeatedly?) by Maddow in comparison on recent GOP led senate (recall mtg right after BO where (openly vs leaked?) declared we will pass nothing even if we favor it); so lack of any gov't action that could help ppl is blamed on dems; plus a MAN of action will get it done whatever it takes, HARD vs soft dems/fems

Interesting how ANTIFA and other Far Left militant groups can take over a city without barely a wimpier [FREUDIAN TYPO?] from soft Do Nothing Democrat leadership, yet thesesame weak leaders become RADICAL when it comes to shutting down a state or city and its hard working, tax paying citizens!

Fox News over the weekend removed misleading images from stories about protests against police brutality in Seattle from its website after it was revealed they had been digitally altered in a manner which made the scene appear dangerous.
The Seattle Times published a report Friday calling out multiple images from Fox News coverage of the police-free “Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone” (CHAZ) in the city.
One photo illustration appearing on the Fox News homepage showed a masked man with an assault rifle and tactical vest standing in front of a sign reading, “You are now entering Free Cap Hill.” The outlet did not originally disclose that the photo of the scene and the photo of the armed man had been spliced together using two different photos, which were taken more than a week apart.
The original photo, from Getty Images, shows the armed man in front of a car.
He was digitally placed in front of the entrance sign.
The same image of the man appeared in at least one other image on Fox News’ website, in front of a smashed retail storefront. According to The Times, it was also a combination of multiple images.
“It is definitely Photoshopped,” freelance photographer David Ryder, who took the original photo and published it through Getty images, told the outlet. “To use a photo out of context in a journalistic setting like that seems unethical.”
Conservatives, including President Donald Trump, have attempted to sculpt the CHAZ storyline into a political flashpoint. Protesters converted the area into a street festival after police, who teargassed demonstrators, left the precinct in an effort to de-escalate tensions.
Trump tweeted Thursday that “Radical Left Governor [J]ay Inslee and the Mayor of Seattle are being taunted and played at a level that our great Country has never seen before. Take back your city NOW. If you don’t do it, I will. This is not a game. These ugly Anarchists must be stooped [sic] IMMEDIATELY. MOVE FAST!”
The mayor told the president, “Make us all safe. Go back to your bunker.”
Fox News on Friday used a photo of a man running through an urban inferno as a banner image for a group of stories about Seattle under the headline, “CRAZY TOWN || Seattle helpless as armed guards patrol anarchists’ autonomous zone, shake down businesses: cops.”

The photo was unaltered, but it was an AP photo taken May 30 in St. Paul, Minn. Fox News later removed it.
The articles did not notify readers that the photos were altered, and it remains unclear who was responsible for the decision to do so. A Fox News spokesperson did not immediately respond to Salon’s request for comment.
In an emailed statement, a Fox News spokeswoman told The Times: “We have replaced our photo illustration with the clearly delineated images of a gunman and a shattered storefront, both of which were taken this week in Seattle’s autonomous zone.”
However, that statement itself was inaccurate. While the gunman was photographed that week — June 10 — the smashed storefront images were first published by Getty on May 30.
Fox News fully apologized Saturday in an editor’s note accompanying its CHAZ coverage, acknowledging that it “did not clearly delineate” the photo illustrations, which it labeled a “collage.” The site also apologized for falsely attributing the shot of the Minneapolis fire. “Fox News regrets these errors,” the note said.
Talent at the conservative network have attempted to use the Seattle protests as a political wedge issue. For example, primetime host Tucker Carlson accused the people in the zone of advocating segregation.

The network also reported an anecdotal claim from Seattle Assistant Chief of Police Deanna Nollette.
:{:{}:
}:
“We’ve heard, anecdotally, reports of citizens and businesses being asked to pay a fee to operate within this area,” Nollette said. “This is the crime of extortion.”
:{:{}:
}:
Police Chief Carmen Best later corrected that statement.
:{:{}:
}:
“We haven’t had any formal reports of this occurring,” she said, indicating the reports had come from rumors spread on social media.
Though the Seattle protests have at times been home to contentious scenes of unrest — including a cop filmed forcibly removing his partner’s knee from someone’s neck and a man filmed driving into a crowd of protesters and shooting a black man — the CHAZ street scene has been almost entirely peaceful, featuring musical and visual artists, free street food, concerts and movies.
Best said she did not think the officers should have abandoned the precinct, a move which she claims has led to longer 911 response times.
Trump called demonstrators “domestic terrorists” over the weekend and threatened federal action unless local officials “take back” the area. He also falsely claimed that antifa forces had taken over the city.
