  1. ### Podcaster Tim Dillon: The Trump administration “has basically been an auction” where “everybody is submitting a bid on our country”

08/05/25

August 2, 2025, edition of The Tim Dillon Show

TIM DILLON (HOST): Let's just realize what the Trump administration has been, for the first eight months. The Trump administration has basically been an auction. It's an auction. And everybody is submitting a bid on our country. Qatar, Israel. The American people are like far in the back going, ‘Hey, hey, wait up, hey!' But you know, Israel, Qatar, China, everybody is trying to position themself to basically get as much as they can from the Trump administration. How much can we get? How much equity is in this guy before we throw him away? Before he doesn't matter anymore. He's already deflating. The poll numbers are collapsing. That big beautiful bill may be the last legislative thing he did. But all these people Zuckerberg, Palantir, they're all lining up going, give me what you can before you are totally worthless to me.

TIM DILLON (HOST): Obviously, I am a human and want to live, but our civilization does really deserve to be destroyed. That is the hard -- that is the really tough thing about it all, is that, if there was ever a civilization that deserved a cataclysmic, and again, not rooting for it, don't want it to happen, don't want it to happen, but just statistically, could there be a better example?

I mean, we just do -- this guy is committing a genocide, truly. I don't think anyone's even, I don't think anyone's even denying that at this point. People, like, quibbling about certain components of it. I know that people are like, well, yes, they're starving Gaza, but did you see that video of that guy from Hamas stealing a banana? Did you see that? There's a guy from Hamas eating a banana, and people are like, well, he stole the banana from the people. And they're like, Hamas is stealing the food.

In this whole thing, Israel has no culpability by the way at all. They've actually done nothing wrong. It's all been Hamas. Hamas has done everything. There's not been -- what they stole the food, they're shooting the people who are in line for the food. Israel's doing nothing. And you have to trust Israel because otherwise, the only people that are reporting out of Gaza, they're not letting journalists in, or they just say are Hamas. So if you report anything contrary to what Israel says, you are Hamas or you become Hamas.

So, I mean, I just, you know? I mean, the starvation, the photos of the starving -- number one, we're the fattest country in the world, for the fattest country in the world to fund the starvation of a group of people is insane. Look at this. Here we go. This is the thing they keep showing is that Hamas has bananas. Alright.

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. They got bananas. This is the -- when I ask why we're funding it -- why we're starving people, we're funding a famine. People say to me, well, maybe take a look at that video of how the guy in Hamas with the grapes. The guy in Hamas with the grapes. And you go, we're the fattest country in the world. K? Nobody is fatter than us. We are now funding the starvation of a group of people halfway across the world or all the way across the world. I'm bad with geography, but far away.

AN 7 25

In 2020, podcaster Joe Rogan announced he was moving from Los Angeles to Austin with loud fanfare, according to Chron. His big appeal at a time of mandatory masks was Austin’s lax mask requirement, along with lower taxes.

Plenty of Rogan’s comedian friends announced they were following in his footsteps, seeking relief from “anti-cancel culture” and California’s significant homeless population.

Now Chron says they hate the place, according to recent interviews.

"Texas f—————— blows," said comedian Shane Gillis, one of Rogan’s “canceled” friends who moved from New York to Austin after getting fired from Saturday Night Live for using an anti-Asian slur. “It's hot as f————. The second we ran out of power [after a storm], the house was 90 degrees and bugs came in immediately."

Chron reports Gillis also criticized Austin's homeless population, which he calls "screaming runners," and complained about Texas’ high number of emergency alerts.

"I just wanted to move to a place where you can do standup during the week," Gillis told Theon Von in 2024. "Forever it was just New York and LA, now you can do it in Nashville."

"[Austin] is a soulless city that should be burned to the ground and everyone that lives here should be summarily executed," joked ‘Tim Dillon Show’ host Tim Dillon, another of Rogan’s compadres. "It is not the 'live music capital of America,' it's three heroin addicts busking with guitars. There is zero talent here in any capacity. There's three restaurants that are good and I've been to all of them twice."

"Yes, the taxes are better,” Dillon said on his podcast, “And yes, there are benefits to not being in LA. And yes, LA has a host of problems … But I moved here because … I said, something new will be good. I was wrong."

Another of Rogan’s friends, New Orleans-native comedian Mark Normand, recently called Austin's comedy scene "a punchline" and dragged the city’s oppressively hot weather and homeless population.

"That city is a boiling pot of evil goo, just circling a dish," Chron reports he also declared .”

Texas’ population continues to grow, but new surveys suggest that growth is beginning to slow.
