Scorpio

♏

Scorpio season begins in October. Although October is the 10th month, the “octo” part is like “octogon” meaning 8. Scorpio is the 8th sign.

“The prefix “oct-” in “octagon” is derived from the Latin root word “octo”, which means "eight"^1. This prefix is often used to denote a group of eight or something that is eight times larger than the original number^1. In the case of “octagon”, it refers to an eight-sided polygon^2. Here are some other examples of words with the “oct-” prefix:

• Octopus**: An eight-armed sea creature^3.
• Octopod**: An animal with eight limbs^3.
• Octave**: An eight-line stanza^3.
• Octuple**: Consisting of eight parts or things^3.
• Octennial**: An 8-year period or celebration^3.
• Octet**: A group of eight; eight musicians^3^.”

Scorpio moon:

"Situations involving relatives, finances and intuition can be intensified during a Scorpio moon. We tend to be better with researching, solving and making decisions. Confidence and commitment will feel more natural. Use caution when exploring the emotional taboos that we seem easily drawn to when the moon moves through Scorpio. We do not possess the level of control over our obsessions that we would like to have."
