Popular Front

The Popular Front was a political organization before the war, formed as a broad coalition of smaller, disconnected political parties, trade guilds, and organizations throughout Tyre and the littoral zones. The stated goal of the original coalition was to push for greater autonomy for far eastern Kael. But with the outbreak of hostilities with the intervention of the Free Companies, they quickly reorganized into an armed resistance movement, using their influence to mobilize and organize citizens to defend their regions and fight for complete independence. Given the occupation of the Free Companies, and isolation from the rest of the Veldt, they did not have much interaction with the Swords of the Sion, and so did not become part of the knight-led Affinities, and as such, their activities did not extend much past the urbanized coastal strip. Their goals were also more overtly political, and they formed much of the post-war governing body of the now autonomous Veldt region.
