Note for Some Island's Description

<p>small island in the ocean with a castle on it. there is a cave at the base, on the windward wand currentward side, large waves crash into the cave.

as the water splashes the walls of the cave, the splash collects in pools higher than the water level. This effect is pronounced enough that the water jumps several pools in sequence climbing a hundred feet to a fountain which collects the water from hundreds of tiny pools, which then meanders down through the various levels of the castle built on the island.

Though very beautiful at the top and from a distance, residents dump their waste water into the aqueduct. The water is undrinkable anyway, so there was no reason not to. 

At various points, magic stones clean the water some, but the cleanse is mostly visual, and the stones are old and the magic has faded. By the time the water makes its way back to the ocean it is quite disgusting.
