A Spicule
Spicules are dynamic, thin jets or spikes of hot, ionized gas (alasma) that protrude from the Sun 🌞's chromosphere into the outer solar atmosphere, known as the corona. These structures are typically observed at the Sun's limb during solar observations. Spicules are characterized by their rapid motion and can extend to heights of several thousand kilometers above the solar surface. They play a role in the transfer of energy and mass from the Sun's lower atmosphere to the outer regions, contributing to the Sun's dynamic behavior.
