MATH+ Protocol

According to the authors of the MATH+ protocol there are three main pathologies to consider:

  1. The cytokine storm. The dysregulated immune system over responds causing lots of damage in the lungs, the blood vessels resulting in less oxygen and less blood perfusion. Note, this isn't an "over active" immune response as much as it is a "dysregulated" response.(Vitamins D and C, Nac,Co-Q10 can help with this). Fever is not an indication of a cytokine storm.
  2. Hypercoagulability. Damaged blood vessels cause thrombi, and then emboli to develop. This happens because of ACE1 and ACE2 imbalance - angiotensin 1 vs angiotensin 2 imbalance. See also Thromboemboli (BLOOD CLOT) , Thrombosis Prevention, Congealed/ Coagulated Blood (thrombosis), Blood Congestion, Coagulation Cascade
  3. Severe hypoxemia. Less oxygen in the blood.

These are not new diseases, medicine has dealt with them in the past so why not manage them separately?

Look them up in the database.

The Core Concept of this Protocol:

"It's not the virus that's killing the patient, it's the immune system."

The authors say there is more damage and loss of life in hospitalized patients because intensivists are reluctant to use anti-inflammatories or anticoagulants because they try to treat this as a normal, standard pneumonia (but its not). Due to this delay there is further damage to patient's lungs and other organs.

Normal ARDs, following pneumonia, is different from Covid-associated ARDs (CARDs). CARDs is divided into L-type and H-type. Its important to recognize that COVID-19 pneumonia isn't causing ARDs, its caused by the inflammatory system.

This protocol recommends use of steroids. When the patient is in an advanced stage in the ICU on a ventilator, at that time its not just the virus but the immune system damaging the body and at that its necessary to reduce the immune system's intensity. Also, high flow oxygen is better than using a ventilator.

High glutathione is needed to cleanse the immune system.

Patient's whose inflammation isn't dampened will progress to the H-type.
