"The Story"

"The Story"

The good and the bad thing about stories is that everyone's got one and they're usually more than happy to tell you all about it.

Much rarer to find is someone who's story is more than just an attempt to be validated but seeks to really convey something of meaning. Rarer again is a "story" that's genuinely entertaining, captivating or inspiring to the point that you really get something out of it and feel enriched by having heard it and Even Rarer Still is the "story" of an individual who has done amazing things with their life, achieved the un-achievable, Lived The Dream or overcome un-surmountable odds to become who they are. But the rarest of all, for me, is someone whos "story" is so fantastically mindblowing and "out there" that its simply hard for a normal person to believe and you can't help but feel that maybe they're taking you for a ride..

The true story of the life and times of the individual at the center of this research project fits squarely into the latter category as far as I'm concerned and I'm saying this here not to talk it up or glamorise things in any way but simply for the sake of completeness and because it's the truth - so why not.

There'll be more on this as time goes by no doubt but for now we'll return the focus to the research as that's the important thing here - not the researchers themselves.
