<p>Several studies suggest that HPA axis changes contribute to the fatigue in MS but they do so in way opposite to ME/CFS. <strong>Reduced</strong> activation of the HPA axis contributes to the fatigue in ME/CFS and FM while <strong>increased </strong>activation does so in MS.</p>
