The Meditation and Recitation on Vajrasattva who Purifies Errors and Obscurations

The original ground = gZhi

Always present.

Just as the sky can be covered by clouds,

so the original nature can seem to be contaminated by manifold faulty dualistic notions.

gZhi is free from obscurations, false ideas and afflictions. The latter are caused by ego.

The ground is absolutely pure.

All sentient beings are caught in the net of thoughts or defilements arising from the suddenly-occurring belief in duality.

Obscurations of karma from:

1. The ten unvirtuous actions
2. The five unlimited errors
3. The five similar errors
4. Four heavy errors
5. The eight wrong practices
6. All that is naturally wrong
