Uses are the ways that stakeholders and end-users engage with the results of a project.

It is this process of user engagement that actually creates the benefits. Different stakeholders will engage with results and use them in different ways, many often unforeseen.

This way of thinking leads naturally to trying to capture how stakeholders will engage with results in the form of Use Cases.

Identifying Use Cases captures features of the required results and enables characterisation and quantification of projected benefits.

Once benefits are quantified it becomes possible to rank and prioritise results and features by expected benefits.
