Update on My Public Brain Projects

★ Important Update

As of February 2, 2026, I am in the process now of exploring options for moving my biggest public brain project to a new hosting platform.

I am also now limiting my brain-related updates in this demo brain to documenting bugs and feature requests for the desktop only, since I am no longer using TheBrain web client for any public brain projects, other than this demo brain.

There are simply too many problems and unresolved issues with TheBrain that have made it very difficult for me to consider using this platform for any more (other) public projects:

all the current web client limitations and bugs,
all the challenges for users unfamiliar with TheBrain interface,
all the challenges with making a public brain project intuitive and user-friendly,
too many features that have been unexpectedly sunsetted over the years, and
too many uncertainties about the reliability** and future development of TheBrain.

** In 2026, the web client, and all our public brains, were down for almost 24 hours straight.

Most of my public brain projects are now no longer in active development because of several unresolved bugs and issues in the web client:
