WALTER GROPIUS
OBJECTS BECOME ENVIRONMENTS
Gropius is used here not for a generic Bauhaus institutional history but for the expansion of design from object to architecture, environment, education, and collective life. The Bauhaus ambition reunites art, craft, technology, architecture, and design.
Separate arts → integrated design → total design.
Object → room → building → environment → conditions of life.

Theatre, including the Total Theatre project developed with Erwin Piscator, becomes an adaptable perceptual apparatus: audience, stage, projection, architecture, and movement can be designed together. Piscator remains contextual unless an existing Thought supports a stronger link.
Theatre as fixed container → theatre as adaptable perceptual apparatus.
Space does not merely contain human action; space conditions possible human action. Architecture becomes a perceptual and behavioural apparatus.
Panofsky's space organizes vision through representation; Gropius's architecture organizes vision and behaviour through physical space. This is a conceptual comparison, not an asserted historical influence.
If everything can be designed, what happens to unplanned human behaviour? The branch preserves the critical question rather than answering it.
Training designs the body. Costume designs the body. Architecture designs the conditions of the body.
Removal audit: without Gropius, the Brain loses the scale transition from designed object to designed environment and conditions of life.
