ALEXANDER RODCHENKO

REVOLUTIONARY VISION

Rodchenko's role is distinct: if the new human must move differently, must the new human also see differently? His photography critiques eye-level, frontality, balanced composition, and familiar perspective through high and low angles, diagonals, foreshortening, fragments, and unusual viewpoints.

CONCEPTUAL CHILDREN

The camera can defamiliarize, disorient, and retrain attention. To change society may require changing habits of perception. This expresses a broader modernist belief that perception itself can be educated and transformed; it should not be romanticized as automatically liberating.

Revolutionary culture → Rodchenko → new camera angles → defamiliarization → revolutionary eye.

Designing movement ↔ designing vision.

Rodchenko → Panofsky / Crary / Benjamin is a historically qualified conceptual route. It connects stable perspective to destabilized viewpoint, the historically produced observer, and the technically transformed perception—not a claim that all three directly influenced Rodchenko.

This branch therefore connects to photography, cinema, and the framed body: the designed human is shaped not only through work, movement, and space, but through how vision is organized.

Removal audit: without Rodchenko, the Brain loses the explicit transition from designing movement to designing perception.
