WEEK ONE — GECKO STYLE, EMBODIMENT & DEVISING TOOLS
WEEK ONE — GECKO STYLE, EMBODIMENT & DEVISING TOOLS
DATES
29 September–3 October 2025.
PURPOSE
The first week introduced practical access points to the Gecko workshop language.
The source emphasises diving into physicality, body-led and heart-led work, testing commitment, ensemble responsiveness, preparing body, voice and emotional field, and generating material through structures.
RECURRING PREPARATION
Daily preparation frequently included rubbing or patting the skin, shaking, bouncing, jumping, massage, stretching, walking, breath, gathering in a circle and contact with others.
The protocols sometimes distinguish PREPARATION from a generic warm-up. Preparation established conditions for subsequent work.
