MassSense
Applications:
- Policy and strategy: Decision support tool to monitor changes and shifts in an unbiased way, with near to real-time feedback, allowing for detection of early signs of opportunities, threats, potential fault lines, and risks
- Informed decision-making: offers the opportunity to convert the many stories collected into mappable data points for analysis
- Attitudinal mapping: offers the ability to gather rich narrative data and salient discussion points ahead of workshop-based methods
What’s different:
- Whereas the Unsurvey is about opening our awareness to the diversity and multitude of stories and attitudes within a broader ecosystem, MassSense is about focusing attention on a single thing (or proposition) and understanding it from a multitude of perspectives
- Doesn’t require people to tell a story but invites people to engage in the decision process
- Requires the least time from respondents and useful when you need to take a quick and focused snapshot of sentiment, or when your respondents are short on time or have traditionally had lower engagement rates
- Able to see not only strong opinions but also the so-called 17%, those people who see the world differently, the outlier perspectives on the fringes. It is often here where threat and opportunity emerges.
