In forma pauperis

In Arkansas, In Forma Pauperis (IFP) is a process that allows someone to file a case without paying court fees. IFP is also known as a fee waiver.

To request an IFP, you can:

• Request a fee waiver from the court before filing your court forms
• File an "Application to Proceed In Forma Pauperis"

IFP is not a right, and the court has discretion over whether to grant it. The court may annul an IFP order if the petitioner engages in "improper conduct" or "willful or unnecessary delay"
