JAPER Processor
The instant-on command processor of JAPER is a serverless architecture that utilizes multiple AWS services to provide a scalable, efficient, and secure system. This architecture allows JAPER to quickly process requests and perform various tasks, such as barcode domain services and encryption/decryption of data. The main components of the instant-on command processor are:
- API Gateway: This service acts as the entry point for all incoming requests to the JAPER API. It manages the routing of requests, handles authentication and authorization, and provides a secure interface for communication between the clients and the backend services.
- Lambda: AWS Lambda is the serverless compute service that runs the JAPER API's code in response to events, such as incoming requests from the API Gateway. Lambda automatically scales based on the number of incoming requests, ensuring efficient resource usage and minimizing latency.
- NodeJS: The JAPER API is built using JavaScript and runs on NodeJS, a JavaScript runtime built on Chrome's V8 engine. NodeJS provides a fast, lightweight, and scalable environment for executing JavaScript code, making it an ideal choice for building serverless applications.
- DynamoDB: This is a NoSQL database service provided by AWS that stores the JAPER's data, including encrypted resources and metadata. DynamoDB offers low-latency performance, automatic scaling, and high availability, making it suitable for handling the demands of the JAPER API.
- Simple Email Service (SES): AWS SES is a cloud-based email sending service used by JAPER for sending email notifications and validation messages to users. It ensures reliable and scalable email delivery while maintaining compliance with various email standards.
- Simple Notification Service (SNS): This service is used by JAPER to send notifications, such as SMS messages, to users for validation purposes or to inform them about specific events. SNS provides a scalable and reliable messaging infrastructure that can handle large volumes of messages.
- Simple Queue Service (SQS): AWS SQS is a managed message queue service that enables communication between different components of the JAPER system. It decouples the components, allowing them to process messages independently and ensuring fault tolerance and scalability.
- Simple Storage Service (S3): JAPER uses AWS S3 for storing and retrieving files, such as images and other assets. S3 provides a highly durable, available, and scalable storage solution, ensuring the availability of resources whenever they are needed.
By leveraging these AWS services, the instant-on command processor of JAPER creates a highly efficient, scalable, and secure system that can handle complex security problems and provide validated data access to users.
