What is Earth Token (EARTH)?

Earth Token (EARTH) is a cryptocurrency created and developed by the Natural Asset Exchange blockchain platform. The platform offers a range of innovative and unique environmental sustainability solutions. The ecosystem provides an opportunity to transform the Natural Capital Asset market by establishing a Natural Asset Marketplace that allows all traders to participate in the climate value chain. The primary goal of the natural asset exchange ecosystem is to preserve the natural resources or assets for the coming generations.

As per the whitepaper, the natural capital is the world’s stock of untapped natural resources and undervalues. The natural capital asset class is estimated at around USD 120 trillion, yet no transparent mechanism exists to connect producers of natural assets with business, consumers, and technology. The establishment of the natural asset exchange blockchain platform with the native EARTH token as the settlement mechanism currency can:

Provide an open, transparent, and universally accessible platform that connects producers of natural assets with merchants.

EARTH is the native token of the platform based on the ERC20 standards of the Ethereum network. The primary use of EARTH is to act as the settlement currency allowing users to participate in environmental impact mitigation initiatives. The token has various potential use cases. A few of these use cases are public transport, restaurant, and fast food purchases, personal electricity and fuel consumption, governmental service delivery, aviation, and many more.

History of Earth Token (EARTH)

Angus Rowe and Leonard Harley co-founded the platform under the parent company impactChoice Ltd. Angus holds a graduate diploma in Company Direction from the Graduate Institute of Management Technology and has attended the Owner/President Management Executive Education course at Harvard Business School.

Leonard, a self-taught coder since the age of 14, designed and built the environmental sustainability solutions at impactChoice Ltd, founded in 2009. Leonard passed away in December 2017.

EARTH has a maximum supply of 1 billion tokens.
