Passover with Jesus

Christians have called the Passover meal the “Last Supper”. And the act of Communion has come from the Passover meal elements, however, there were actually four cups, not one.

The Cups:

• Cup of Sanctification Kiddush: Thanksgiving to the Lord for‘the fruit of the vine’
• Plaques Maggid: After reciting the ten plagues; wine is also sprinkled on the table
• Cup of Redemption Birkat Hamazon: After The main meal is consumed; the cup that over-flows
• Cup of Praise Hillel: After the reciting of the last Hallel hymns, the end of the Passover

Any guesses as to which Jesus held when he said, “Do this in remembrance of Me? It was the cup of Redemption.
