1. Introduction

Upon acquiring my Landless Rights in 3845BM, I decided I should use it to it's full advantage, I would travel the world, or to as many places as I could. Along my journey I would write of the happenings, and share them, in hopes that a greater understanding of the world could be reached. I found that many knew very little of other lands, so this should be found of some use for any that seek knowledge, for those who are unable to travel the world themselves. Whether that be for some health reason, or a legal reason, or simply because they do not wish to undertake the education required to become a Landless, or they do not wish to give up their homelands. Being among that Landless has many benefits and drawbacks, as I will come to explain in these writings.

My name is Tymnus Pok. I am a Centaur. I say this not in so much as it truly matters to the reader who I am, but so that there is understanding in how I was received in each location I visited. Though many places welcomed me with curiosity, many others were unwelcoming to someone of my type. This reaction tainted many of my experiences, and I felt it necessary to inform the reader of this cause. Not to increase the divide between the many races of the AUAK, but so as to say that my experiences may be vastly different for someone non-chayas, or even a chayas of a more tolerable appearance. Not only do others have worry over those of my race, but my race has many concerns over the other races as well. For in this, the racial concern, dare I try not to say bigotry, is mutual, even if still misplaced. Through my journey, I found that many of the differences perceived were, in fact, similarities. I found much common ground with every race I encountered, mainly alcohol.

My journey took me through 56 nations, and four aurie crossings, to ten kæav, and into six uun cities, as I circumnavigated the globe I began in my former home of Chaks, venturing south to the Austi Aurio, across the Arntur to the Orines and then to Olmes, up along Vunñar, into Lnoll, around the Yubar, down along the leg of Drrajh, and across the narrow sea between Tenalian and Vuln, across the deserts and upto Sares Aurie, and on to Lælyin and to the Ariza and Aniel Aurutss and around the other side, crossing the Odat'Tass, and from Wudal crossing back to Chaks, where I now work to combine these writings into a more manageable form.

A journey of such magnitude, I knew would require resources. Though most places will gladly house and feed a Landless at no cost, there are still many that find us to be undesirable and an unaffordable expense. I first began with my childhood herd, asking any if they could spare a few Dralcans for my journey, however I was able to raise very little, hardly enough to reach Mallalia, let alone the other 95% of the journey I had planned. So I approached the Merran of Chaks, a meeting which had not been easy to arrange. My trials for what I am, began before I even set out. I was eventually able to appeal to her wiser nature and her thirst for knowledge of the world, and my trip was funded.

Knowing that most nights would be spent in the wilds, at the whims of nature, so with the finances provided by the crown I equiped for a comfortable journey. Though we do prefer to travel unlaiden, I chose to acquire several travel packs designed for a common horse. These fit my rear half surprisingly comfortably, and I was able to avoid the need of a cart or of being completely at the mercy of nature and what I could find along my journey. But my nature is to live off the land, so I spent a few extra Dralcans on a new bow and extra supply of arrows. I also chose to invest in a few blades, as well as a hammer, which I quickly dumped as it would not secure to my waist without bouncing on my front legs painfully.

I decided a tent would also be of some benefit as I would be traveling throughout the seasons and did not wish to freeze to death as I cross over the Yubar between Lnoll and Drrajh, as the Roia were far. Other items packed included fishing gear, basic tools and other camping equipment, rope and pulleys with a grappling hook and climbing gear with a specially designed climbers harness that would accommodate my unusual size. It is near unheard of for a Centaur to climb or descend cliffs, but I knew that would be likely part of a path I must take, and so I had a harness made specifically for one of my type. I would climb, I would not be raised or lowered like a common mule, helpless, at the whims of a humon or Valswyn, or whomever else I might come across at these cliffs.

As alluded to above, I traveled with many types of alcohol to use as diplomacy, and along my journey I acquired many of the local brews. Alcohol was nearly as profitable a currency as the Dralcans. However, I'm not sure that I would recommend everyone turning to such a means of exchange for everyday transactions. Though useful, it does disappear, and no quality economic exchange can subsist of a currency that is either used up, or stored, unused, for vast lengths of time. But this is a travel guide, and not an economic or philosophical essay.

And so, let us begin.
