the eager, innocent learner
Had a difficult schooling: he and his parents had left Hobbtroal when he was young, and moved to Clevel, he was the only hobbit in his class, and was mocked for it; he also struggled more than the other Magic students--he couldn't quite get more than just the basic spells, although he was had a much easier time with the simple spells than even the most advanced students. One day, a more popular student stepped in, saying, "Ya know, you guys should probably be nicer to him, he'll probably be more successful than any of us." Those words could never be forgotten; they gave Arun courage to keep going. He vowed to himself to become known the world over, for something. He figured out what world-famous person might be the easiest to get to know, and figured out where that person spent most of their time or leisure, and got a job where he'd be noticed. That job was in Berryshire of Cleveal, at the personal inn of The Eternal Matthew Clevel, the Aurie View Lodge; the oldest living person, and the oldest running Adventurer's Lodge (many have come and gone, few have lasted more than a century or two).

taking time away from normal studies to go on journey, must continue to learn about the societies of the world--way to explain utopian ideals.
