Farrington Resort on Fish Lake

Opened in 1919 by Albert C. Farrington

1935-05-30 - Farrington Park at Fish Lake is formally opening for the season. Mr. Farrington reports that fishing at the lake is the best for the early season that he has experienced for several years. One new feature at the park this year is an outside beer garden. Rustic Lattice work has been used throughout and the spot is in a shady location with a view of the lake. Mr. Farrington said he has renovated several of the cottages and has found a strong demand for them so far this season.

1946-11-26: The City of Cheney sold a section of Fish Lake shoreline extending north from what was known as Cheney beach to Orr Farrington for $1,000.

1962-09-21: Farrington's Resort at Fish Lake has been sold to Mr. and Mrs. Thomas E. Myers of Spokane, it was announced this week by Orr Farrington, former owner.

The resort has been in business since 1919, having been started by Farrington's father, Albert C. Farrington. Mr. and Mrs. Farrington are moving into Cheney.
