Emotions: cerebral hemispheres and prefrontal cortex
It is the most complex area of the brain, and most developed in humans.
The prefrontal cortex (PFC) is the cerebral cortex covering the front part of the frontal lobe. This brain region has been implicated in planning complex cognitive behavior, personality expression, decision making, and moderating social behavior.
Thought to be the location for working memory, the latest theory is that prefrontal activity during the delay-period contributes more to the process of attentional selection (and selective attention) than to memory storage.
