New York. In 2007 South African Brett Lankester, ex‐head of Goldman Sachs’ UK Private Wealth

Management joined ACP in order to further build the business.

ACP ‐ still London based ‐ is an independent investment advisory firm: Over the last several years it

has developed a strong core competency in fixed income, equity management as well as alternative

investment strategies. The firm’s client‐base comprises of a select number of HNW individuals and

ACP’s investment philosophy centres around a strong absolute return focus with a preference for

selecting managers within their area of competency. They adopt a flexible approach that is not

restricted to any particular market segment. Low staff ratios afford ACP the ability to provide high

levels of service on an ongoing basis. Oberoi and Lankester, current managing partners of ACP, will

be joint CEO’s of the merged business. Joseph Sassoon has returned to the academic world but will

continue to act as a consultant for ACP TriAlpha.

Oberoi comments,” By combining the resources of ACP and TriAlpha , we believe we have created a

highly efficient business ideally suited to meet the levels of client service and investment

performance required both for today’s challenging asset management environment and for the

future. Both businesses have a long track record of managing assets as well as a culture of service

and commitment to clients. Market conditions will create historic opportunities in the asset

management industry and ACP TriAlpha is ideally placed to take advantage of them. Giuseppe

Ciucci, CEO of Stonehage adds, ”I am pleased to announce the merger of the ACP team and TriAlpha.

We have worked successfully with ACP and respected their abilities for many years. This merger

creates a very strong investment team that is well placed to serve our private clients and their

increasing need for transparent and more effective investment solutions.”

ACP & TriAlpha rebrand as ACPI

8 Jul 2009

The merger of ACP Partners LLP and TriAlpha Investment Advisors Limited has been completed; the combined entity will be known as ACPI (ACPI Investments Limited).

With funds under management of approximately US$ 2.5Bn, as at June 30th 2009, ACPI believes that it is strongly positioned to benefit from the market opportunity that has opened up for a boutique investment firm that bridges the gap between traditional investment banks and smaller, family office firms. ACPI offers excellence in internal asset management capabilities across fixed income, equity, asset allocation and funds of hedge funds. In addition, a six person research team provides the firm’s clients with access to some of the world’s best external managers.

There have been a number of key appointments since the start of 2009.

Luigi Bellini has joined ACPI to build its Institutional and Family Office businesses globally. Luigi was previously a Managing Director at Bear Stearns, where he established a large investment management business covering Continental European and Latin American Institutional and Family Office clients.

Jeremy Singer has also joined ACPI to Head the Private Client business. Jeremy was previously at Goldman Sachs, where he spent 11 successful years.

In addition, Gianluca Bencivenni has also joined the firm from Goldman Sachs, where he spent seven years. Gianluca will be Head of Trading and Portfolio Management for the Private Client and Family Office business.

Alok Oberoi and Brett Lankester, both ex Goldman Sachs Managing Directors, are joint CEOs of ACPI.

Alok Oberoi commented: “In ACPI we have created a business ideally suited to exceed the levels of client service and investment performance required for today’s challenging asset management environment. Both prior businesses had a long track record of strong performance together with a culture of service and commitment to clients. Market conditions have created an historic opportunity in the asset management industry and ACPI is ideally placed to take advantage of this.”

He added: “The South African Institutional market has always been important to TriAlpha and will continue to be for ACPI. With the move of Cobus Kruger to our Cape Town office we are strengthening our institutional capabilities and commitment to the region.”_

Brett Lankester commented: “The merger of ACP and TriAlpha has created a far more powerful offering to investors. We are committed to working with both Private Clients and Institutions and appointments such as Luigi and Jeremy signal our ambition to dynamically expand our business.”_
