Notes and Attachments
Each thought can hold a note and any number of attachments, which appear in the content area. These topics cover writing and formatting notes, the rich content a note can hold, linking and embedding notes, the format notes are saved in and their earlier versions, and the files and web links you attach to thoughts.
- Writing and Editing Notes — Format notes, use Markdown shortcuts and outlines, edit notes as plain text, find and replace, check spelling, insert dates, and move around long notes by their headings.
- Tables, Images, and More — Add tables, images, videos, callouts, math, diagrams, and footnotes to notes.
- Linking Notes Together — Link notes to thoughts and web pages, show one note inside another, copy links to thoughts, and give thoughts alternate names that links can find.
- Note Format, Versions, and Export — Choose the format notes are saved in, edit Markdown files from your computer, go back to earlier versions of a note, export or print notes, and set note options for a whole brain.
- Attachments and Files — Attach files, folders, and web links to thoughts, preview and manage them, encrypt them, and choose which files stay on your device.
