Journaling
- Journaling does not require us to design prompts in quite the same way as Unsurveys and MassSense
- As Journaling is meant to be habitual and built into a regular occurrence, we need to consider what type of journal we want to set up
Habituating a practice
- These do not require deliberate questioning
- Participants share observations and experiences as they are triggered by moments in time
- Habits require time to cultivate
- Invest time working with the participants to provide timely reminders in the initial period
Response to Stimulus
- Another type of journal builds stimulus into the design at the project and overall engagement level
- Capture the learnings, insights and reflections
- Act as an online feedback tool
- Build into activities such as team or organisational meetings, events or recurring activities
- Replace paper survey forms handed out at the end the of a session
