The first country to abolish slavery was Great Britain. Two-thousand naval men died on the high seas to do this. The African kings were rounding up their own people and had them in cages waiting on the beaches. In terms of reparations being paid to descendents of slaves, we need to go back to the beginning of the supply chain and ask, who was in charge of rounding up their own people? And the descendents of those on the high seas who died trying to stop the slavery should get reparations too.
