Thought Technologies that May Be Poisonous or Unhelpful, If Not Outright Harmful

Let's move beyond these things and make ourselves better and hence make the world a better place.

There is a distinction that these principles are not good or bad per se, just unskillful (to use a term from Buddhism). Real vices don't deliver the goods—for everyone. (See Categorical Imperative.) .) Maybe some of these vices help individuals, but only at the expense of others or only in the short term.
