TRUMP COUP?!
In addition, many of the documents requested by the committee have nothing to do with Bannon’s interactions with Trump. They concern rather Bannon’s interactions with forces that assisted, organized and participated in the coup.
These include the “Women for America First” political group, which organized the fascist rally outside the White House on January 6; Republican strategist, attorney and frequent guest on Bannon’s podcast Boris Epshteyn; members of the group who attended the January 5 planning meeting at the Willard Hotel (including Rudy Giuliani, John Eastman, Roger Stone and Trump campaign spokesman Jason Miller); and other Trump officials, such as Kash Patel, former chief-of-staff to acting Secretary of Defense Christopher Miller, and Ezra Cohen-Watnick, another Trump loyalist who was appointed to a high-level position in the Department of Defense following the firing of Defense Secretary Mark Esper after Trump’s electoral defeat.
Roger Stone's Pro-Trump Rally Will Be The Freak Show To The RNC Circus
Blog ››› July 17, 2016 10:52 AM EDT ››› ERIC HANANOKI
Supporters of presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump will be holding an “America First Unity Rally” on July 18. The event, which will be hosted by Citizens for Trump and longtime Trump adviser Roger Stone, is being billed as “a massive victory rally & parade celebration of Mr. Trump’s nomination.”
The rally recently hit a speed bump after organizers were forced to drop a white nationalist website that had previously been featured in promotional materials as a sponsor. The person who produces the website in question also resigned from a position with hosting organization Citizens for Trump.
The “Unity” rally is slated to feature speakers and hosts with incendiary histories befitting of their support for Trump. The scheduled speakers and hosts have lobbed racist and sexist attacks against opponents; called for Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders’ executions; openly discriminated against minorities; led the movement that claims the 9/11 attacks were an “inside job”; and alleged that President Obama and Sens. Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Ted Cruz (R-TX) are not American citizens.
Here are five things to know about the “America First Unity Rally.”
Co-Host Roger Stone Has A History Of Pushing Violent Rhetoric, Racist Taunts, Sexist Screeds And Discredited Research
pastor scott, wayne dupree, geo lombardi, diamond and silk
Roger Stone is co-hosting the event and been heavily promoting it on Alex Jones’ conspiracy show (Jones is also speaking at the event). Stone is a longtime friend and ally of Trump and conducted a press gaggle at the July 16 Trump event that introduced running mate Mike Pence. He has a decades-long history of employing political dirty tricks, and regularly spouts violent, racist, and sexist rhetoric, including calling Hillary Clinton a “cunt” and advocating for her and Bernie Sanders’ executions.
Stone is also a discredited researcher and conspiracy theorist who claims the Clintons and Bushes secretly murdered dozens; the collapse of World Trade Center Building 7 is “suspicious”; President Lyndon Johnson killed President John F. Kennedy; President George H.W. Bush tried to assassinate President Ronald Reagan; and the Clintons killed John F. Kennedy Jr.
For more about Stone, go here.
Leading 9/11 Conspiracy Theorist Alex Jones Is A Speaker And Sponsor
Conspiracy theorist radio host Alex Jones is speaking at the rally and has been encouraging his listeners to give “their time, their energy, and their money” to support it. Jones’ website Infowars.com is sponsoring the event. Jones is a 9/11 truther who said after the terrorist attacks: “Those were controlled demolitions. You just watched the government blow up the World Trade Center.” His website claimed that Jones “predicted the attacks on September 11th, 2001 and is considered one of the very first founding fathers of the 9-11 Truth Movement.”
Jones also believes the government was behind national tragedies like the Oklahoma City bombing, Boston Marathon bombing, Space Shuttle Columbia disaster, and mass shootings in Aurora, CO, and Newtown, CT.
For more about Jones’ toxic beliefs and his support of Trump, go here.
A White Nationalist Website Previously Sponsored The Event
The white nationalist website Eternal Sentry previously sponsored the event. Eternal Sentry is a self-described “altright" website that features racist and anti-Semitic material, repeatedly warns about “White Genocide,” and is produced by former Citizens for Trump staffer Paul Chambers, who said whites need to “fight back” against African-Americans and “send them back to the mud-huts they so desperately and obviously desire.”
Following Media Matters’ reporting, Citizens for Trump’s Tim Selaty told Cleveland.com he was not aware of Chambers’ “harmful” views and that his group had failed to do its “due diligence.” According to Selaty, Chambers “decided to drop his sponsorship and resign his volunteer position on our staff.”
Speaker Jan Morgan Bans Muslims From Her Business
Jan Morgan is a rally speaker and national spokesperson for Citizens for Trump. Morgan owns an Arkansas gun range that bans Muslim customers, explaining, "why would I hand a loaded gun to a muslim and allow him to shoot lethal weapons next to people his koran commands him to kill?"
Morgan has claimed that “Islam is also not a religion, It is a theocracy and terrorist cult that hides behind the mask of religion in order to acheive (sic) its mission of world domination.”
Organizer Citizens For Trump Claims President Obama Is A Kenyan Citizen
Citizens For Trump posted an April 15 image asking, “Isn’t it Time ‘We the People’ Elected An American Citizen for President?" and claiming President Obama, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) are respectively Kenyan, Cuban, and Canadian citizens.

Two organizations with slightly different names[ahem] are united in their opposition to Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton’s presidential campaign. And now they may be united in a trademark dispute.
Citizens United, the conservative group headed by David Bossie that just released its sixth documentary, “Hillary: The Movie,” has sent a cease-and-desist letter to a so-called “527″ political group organized by legendary Republican prankster Roger Stone.

Just as Spitzer butted heads with Grasso and his supporters on Wall Street, he went after Bruno not long after taking office. In one phone conversation with Bruno, Spitzer described himself as a “fucking steamroller”. When Bruno was charged with using helicopters for private use, Spitzer was accused of Richard Nixon dirty tricks for supposedly using state troopers to follow Bruno around—hence the term Troopergate.
Eventually, Roger Stoneenters the picture as someone determined to bring Spitzer down. Hired by Bruno, Stone, an amateur body-builder, is arguably one of the most grotesque figures ever to operate from the rightwing fringes of the Republican Party.Referring to himself as a “hitman”, Stone resigned from Robert Dole’s campaign staff in 1996 after it was found out that he and his wife advertised in “adult” magazines looking for other couples to “swing” with. Obviously, he was in a good position to sniff out Spitzer’s secret life. Stone had to stop working for Bruno after leaving a profanity-laced message on Bernard Spitzer’s phone about how he was going to bring his son down.

Lobbied for Miami-Dade
Roger Stone’s service as a Republican Party political operative dates back to his work on President Nixon’s notorious CREEP, the "Committee to Re-Elect the President". The Watergate break-in was traced to CREEP, though Roger Stone was not implicated in the scandal.
More recently, Roger Stone has worked on high-profile Florida issues. Last year, his lobbying firm, "Ikon Public Affairs", was paid $1.8 million by Miami-Dade County to defeat a Florida-wide referendum on a Constitutional Amendment that County leaders feared would erode local autonomy by allowing the Legislature to propose changes in the county’s home rule charter. The referendum failed.
The County Commission waived routine bid procedures to give the lobbying contract to Ikon. In 1996, Roger Stone helped Florida "Sugar Growers" defeat a Floridawide ballot initiative that would have imposed a penny-a-pound tax on sugar to restore the Everglades. Recently, Roger Stone, 50, incorporated a Miami Beach company called Fairbanks LLC with his wife, Nydia.
Roger Stone previously has gotten into trouble for activities that bear some resemblance to the "Committee to Take Back Our Judiciary" events. In 2000, the New York State Temporary Lobbying Commission fined Donald Trump’s Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts Inc., the Institute for Law and Society and Roger Stone, their lobbyist, $250,000 as part of a settlement that ended an investigation into unreported lobbying expenses.
The lobbying campaign sought to scuttle legislation permitting the Mohawk Indians to build a casino that would have competed against Trump’s Atlantic City casinos.
A lobbying commission investigation found that the direct mail campaign sponsored by the purportedly public-minded Institute for Law and Society was actually orchestrated by Donald Trump and Roger Stone, with the true source of funding hidden from the state’s voters. As part of the settlement, Roger Stone and Donald Trump publicly apologized for misleading the public “concerning the production and funding of the lobbying effort.”
Fort Lauderdale attorney Mitchell Berger, a major fund-raiser for the Gore-Lieberman campaign who was part of Al Gore’s re-count legal team, said the activities of the "Committee to Take Back Our Judiciary" should be investigated further.
“There were a lot of things that happened at the time that went un-reported and that for the sake of history and for the sake of understanding how our government worked need to be looked at,” said Mitchell Berger, Chairman of Berger Singerman.
“To threaten members of the Judiciary with 'removal' at the time cases are pending is NOT the way our founding persons intended our democracy to function.”

on. Now he’s into watch fobs and hats.”
:{In 1988, Stone worked as a senior
consultant to George H. W. Bush’s successful campaign against Michael Dukakis,
which was managed by Lee Atwater.}:
The experience prompts a rare disclaimer
from Stone, who is usually eager to claim
credit for hardball tactics. “We had an ad
running about the furloughs in Massachusetts,
with a revolving door, and it
was really polling well—a great ad—and
none of the prisoners were identifiable,”
Stone told me.
“But then Atwater came
in with this version that had Willie Horton’s
picture—and he said they were
going to have an independent group put
it on the air.” (Horton was a convicted
murderer who committed a rape after
fleeing while on furlough from prison in
Massachusetts while Dukakis was governor.)
“I told Atwater that it was a mistake,
that we were winning the issue
without having to resort to this racist
crap. I told Atwater, ‘You are going to
get linked to this, and it is gonna follow
you and George Bush for the rest of your
life.’ It did.” (Atwater died of a brain...
BS? CYA?
Stone’s knowledge of the peculiar
world of Miami led to what may be his
most enduring political legacy—his role
in the resolution of the 2000 Presidential
election. The Enquirer’s disclosures about
Stone’s personal life had made him radioactive
in terms of a public role in the
Presidential race, but when the contest
came down to a recount in Florida his
talent for hand-to-hand political combat
was too useful for senior Republicans to
ignore.According to Stone, James A.
Baker III, the former Secretary of State,
who was leading the Bush forces, told his
aide Margaret Tutwiler to recruit Stone.
(Baker and Tutwiler say that they don’t
remember this, but that it is possible.)
“They asked me to go to Palm Beach
County, which was where the first big
fight was, but I thought I could do more
good here in Miami-Dade,” Stone said.
Stone decided to concentrate at first
on “the atmospherics,” as he put it, which
in Miami means radio.
Several Spanishlanguage
stations in the city devoted
themselves entirely to talk about politics;
no print or television outlets could match
their influence. The most powerful of
these was Radio Mambi, a fifty-thousand-
watt station, whose principal owner
and on-air voice was Armando Perez-
Roura, a Cuban exile who was known as
the Cuban-American community’s Rush
Limbaugh. Radio Mambi was Stone’s
first stop.
“Latin media is unique in the sense
that when you buy advertising you also
are buying programming,” Stone told
me. “If you buy, you get to supply the
guests. So I started buying time, and
bringing Mrs. Stone, whose command
of the Spanish language is better than
mine, around to be the guest. The idea
we were putting out there was that this
was a left-wing power grab by Gore, the
same way Fidel Castro did it in Cuba.
We were very explicitly drawing that
analogy.”
Stone was fortunate, too (as
was Bush), because the recount came
soon after the Elián González affair, in
which the Clinton-Gore Administration
enraged many Miami Cubans by agreeing
to return Elián, who was six years
old, to his father in Cuba. A local political consultant sold
:{ Stone acontact list of activists who had been working on the
González case. “}:We used the list to turn
out crowds whenever we wanted,” Stone
said. “We were telephoning the shit out
of all the appropriate demographics.”
After our lunch, Stone summoned his
chauffeur-driven Jaguar—he owned four
Jaguars at the time—to take us downtown,
so that he could walk me through
the events that concluded the Miami recount.
On November 21, 2000, the Florida
Supreme Court gave Gore an important
victory by ruling that the deadline
for recounts would be extended to November
26th. At that point, the top priority
for the Gore forces was to get the
recounts up and running, especially in
Miami-Dade County, which is the most
populous in the state. On the Republican
side, according to Stone, “The whole
idea behind what they were doing was
that there had already been one recount
of the votes, so we didn’t want another.
The idea was to shut it down, stop the
recount here in Miami.”
By November
22nd, the recount process had begun,
in a conference room on the eighteenth
floor of the Stephen P. Clark
Government Center, a vast concrete
office building on a forlorn plaza in
downtown Miami.
The scene in front of the Clark center
that morning was volatile—which
was, of course, exactly how Stone wanted
it. Several thousand mostly pro-Bush
protesters had gathered on the sunbaked
plaza to insist that the recount be
shut down. Early that morning, Perez-
Roura, ofRadio Mambi, had sent Evilio
Cepero, a local activist who sometimes
worked for him as a reporter, to broadcast
from the scene. Cepero urged Perez-
Roura’s listeners to join the protest,
addressed the growing crowd with a
mega phone, and interviewed supporters,
like the local members of Congress
Lincoln Diaz-Balart and Ileana Ros-
Leh tinen. Many held signs that said
“SORE/LOSERMAN.” Others chanted,
“Remember Elián!”
“We set up a Winnebago trailer, right
over here,” Stone said when we got out
of the Jaguar and walked about a block
away from the Clark center, on First
Street. “I set up my command center
there. I had walkie-talkies and cell
phones, and I was in touch with our people
in the building. Our whole idea was
to shut the recount down. That was why
we were there. We had the frequency to
the Democrats’ walkie-talkies and were
listening to their communications, but
they were so disorganized that we didn’t
learn much that was useful.”
A substantial contingent of young
Republican Capitol Hill aides, along
with such congressmen as John Sweeney,
of New York, who had travelled to
Miami, joined in the protest. Thanks to
this delegation, the events at the Clark
center have come to be known as the
“Brooks Brothers riot,” but Stone disputes
that characterization. “There was
a Brooks Brothers contingent, but the
crowd in front of the courthouse was
largely Spanish,” he said. “Most of the
people there were people that we drew
to the scene.”
At one point on November 22nd,
Stone said, he heard from an ally in the
building that Gore supporters were trying
to remove some ballots from the
counting room. “One of my pimplyfaced
contacts said, ‘Two commissioners
have taken two or three hundred ballots
to the elevator,’ ” Stone said. “I said,
‘O.K., follow them. Half you guys go on
the elevator and half go in the stairs.’ Everyone
got sucked up in this. They were
trying to keep the doors from being
closed. Meanwhile, they were trying to
take the rest of the ballots into a back
room with no windows. I told our guys
to stop them—don’t let them close the
door! They are trying to keep the door
from being closed. There was a lot of
screaming and yelling.” (:{In fact, the
Gore official in the elevator, Joe Geller,
was carrying a single sample ballot.)}: The
dual scenes of chaos—both inside and
outside the building—prompted the recount
officials to stop their work. The recount
in Miami was never re-started, depriving
Gore of his best chance to catch
up in the over-all state tally.
:{As is customary with Stone, there is
some controversy about his precise role.
“I was the guy in charge of the trailer,
and I coördinated the Brooks Brothers
riot,” Brad Blakeman, a lobbyist and political
consultant who worked for Bush
in Miami, told me. “Roger did not have
a role that I know of. His wife may have
been on the radio, but I never saw or
heard from him.}:” Scoffing at Blakeman’s
account, Stone asserts that he was in the
trailer; he said that he had never heard of
Blakeman. (Rule: “Lay low, play dumb,
keep moving.”)
Four years later, Stone played a similar
role in Bush’s reëlection campaign.
In September, 2004,CBS News
aired what it said were newly discovered
documents in a report suggesting that
George W. Bush had dodged military
service in Vietnam. The authenticity of
the documents was quickly challenged,
and the focus in the news media shifted
to whether CBS had been bamboozled
into using forgeries, not whether the
charges were true. In a CNN interview,
Terry McAuliffe, then the head of the
Democratic National Committee, seized
on a New York Post item citing a “hot
rumor” that Stone—“an old dirty trickster
from the Nixon days,” in McAuliffe’s
words—had forged the documents, presumably
to embarrass CBS and help
Bush.
It was a measure of Stone’s reputation
at that point that a top Democrat
had attempted, on such slim evidence, to
link him to a campaign transgression.
“It’s so rare that I’m accused of something
that I’m not guilty of that I felt I
had to respond,” Stone told me. Rather
than simply deny his involvement, Stone
went on cable news to deepen the controversy
and lob his own accusation—
equally baseless—that the Democrats
were somehow involved with the documents.
(A Stone rule, borrowed from
Gore Vidal: “Never pass up the opportunity
to have sex or be on television.”) In
an interview with CNN, Stone said,
“The real question here is, what is the
complicity of the Kerry campaign, or
what didMax Cleland know and when
did he know it?” (Cleland, a former senator
from Georgia, was an aide to John
Kerry.) Recalling the episode, Stone said
that his problem with the potentially
forged docu ments was practical, not
moral. “It was nuts to think I had anything
to do with those documents,” he
said. “Those papers were potentially devastating
to George Bush. You couldn’twould be discredited. You couldn’t have
assumed that this would redound to
Bush’s benefit. I believe in bank shots,
but that one was too big a risk.” Still,
Stone was happy to put his seamy reputation
to work for the Republican cause.
“I definitely saw the opening to be a good
party man,” Stone said. (Rule: “Nothing
is on the level.”)

Brooks Brothers Riot Thug Roger Stone: Maybe there wouldn't have been a war if I hadn't gone to Miami-Dade.’
The evil genius behind the so-called Brooks Brother's Riot in Miami in 2000--the group of GOP thugs who managed to physically invade and intimidate elections officials in Miami to force them to stop counting votes--is an episode that can not get enough attention. When these self-described hit men successfully attacked the historic US election process, the US veered toward the disturbing GOP quasi-totalitarianism of recent years. Of course, they were all handsomely rewarded with jobs of one sort or another. Now, one of them is said to have second thoughts.
The Republican Party will never get to the roots of its estrangement from the American people and from what is best in our history until it seriously deals with its authoritarian tendencies in recent years.
The Daily Beast:A GOP Dirty Trickster Has Second Thoughts
by Benjamin Sarlin
Roger Stone is one of the last guys on Earth one would expect to feel guilty over an episode of rough and tumble politicking. As a self-admitted hit man for the GOP, Stone has had a hand in everything from Nixon's dirty tricks to Eliot Spitzer's resignation to spreading discredited rumors of a Michelle Obama “whitey” tape during the 2008 Democratic primaries. You might call Stone the Forrest Gump of scandal, popping up to play a bit part in the most notorious negative campaigns in recent history.
The capstone of Stone’s career, at least in terms of results, was the “Brooks Brothers riot” of the 2000 election recount. This was when a Stone-led squad of pro-Bush protestors stormed the Miami-Dade County election board, stopping the recount and advancing then-Governor George W. Bush one step closer to the White House. Though he is quick to rebut GOP operatives who seek to minimize his role in the recount, Stone lately has been having second thoughts about what happened in Florida.
When I look at those double-page New York Times spreads of all the individual pictures of people who have been killed [in Iraq], I got to think, 'Maybe there wouldn't have been a war if I hadn't gone to Miami-Dade.’
"There have been many times I've regretted it,” Stone told me over pizza at Grand Central Station. “When I look at those double-page New York Times spreads of all the individual pictures of people who have been killed [in Iraq], I got to think, 'Maybe there wouldn't have been a war if I hadn't gone to Miami-Dade. Maybe there hadn't have been, in my view, an unjustified war if Bush hadn't become president.' It's very disturbing to me."

The firm has represented numerous foreign governments and heads of state, including Mohamed Siad Barre of Somalia, Ferdinand Marcos of the Philippines, Mobutu Sese Seko of Zaire, and Jonas Savimbi of Angola. A lobbyist can perform no greater favor for a lawmaker than to help get him elected. It is the ultimate political IOU, and it can be cashed in again and again. No other firm holds more of this precious currency than the Washington shop known as Black, Manafort.
Legally, there are two firms. Black, Manafort, Stone & Kelly,a lobbying operation, represents Bethlehem Steel, the Tobacco Institute, Herbalife, Angolan "Freedom Fighter" Jonas Savimbi and the governments of the Bahamas and the Philippines. Black, Manafort, Stone & Atwater, a political-consulting firm, has helped elect such powerful Republican politicians as Senator Phil Gramm of Texas and Senate Agriculture Committee Chairman Jesse Helms.
The political credentials of the partners are imposing.Charles Black, 38, was a top aide to Senator Robert Dole and the senior strategist for President Reagan's re-election campaign in 1984. Paul Manafort, 36, was the political director of the 1984 G.O.P. national convention. Roger Stone, 33, was the Eastern regional campaign director for Reagan in 1984 and is now one of Congressman Jack Kemp's chief political advisers. Peter Kelly, 48, was finance chairman of the Democratic National Committee from 1981 to 1985. Lee Atwater, 34, was Reagan's deputy campaign manager in 1984 and is now Vice President George Bush's chief political adviser. Alone among the firm's partners, Atwater sticks to advising electoral candidates and does not lobby.
The partners of Black, Manafort say that the lobbying and political- consulting functions are kept separate. "It's like a grocery store and a hardware store," insists Black. "You can't buy eggs at a hardware store and you can't buy tires at the grocery." Yet these are but fine distinctions in Washington, where the firm is considered one of the most ambidextrous in the business, the ultimate supermarket of influence peddling. "You are someone's political adviser, then you sell yourself to a corporation by saying you have a special relationship with Congress," says Democratic Media Consultant Robert Squier, who does no lobbying himself. Is it proper to get a politician elected, then turn around and lobby him? "It's a gray area," sidesteps Squier. Charges Fred Wertheimer, president of the public-interest lobbying group Common Cause: "It's institutionalized conflict of interest."
It certainly is good for business. The partners charge six-figure fees to lobby and six-figure fees to manage election campaigns. As a result, they take home six-figure salaries. (Their stated aim is to make $450,000 apiece each year; they are assumed to have achieved it last year.) They unabashedly peddle their access to the Reagan Administration. The firm's proposal soliciting the Bahamas as a client, for instance, touted the "personal relationships between State Department officials and Black, Manafort & Stone" that could be "utilized to upgrade a backchannel relationship in the economic and foreign policy spheres."

When Savimbi came to Washington last month to seek support for his guerrilla organization, UNITA, in its struggle against the Marxist regime in Angola, he hired Black, Manafort. What the firm achieved was quickly dubbed "Savimbi chic." Doors swung open all over town for the guerrilla leader, who was dapperly attired in a Nehru suit and ferried about in a stretch limousine. Dole had shown only general interest in Savimbi's cause until Black, the Senate majority leader's former aide, approached him on his client's behalf. Dole promptly introduced a congressional resolution backing UNITA's insurgency and sent a letter to the State Department urging that the U.S. supply it with heavy arms. The firm's fee for such services was reportedly $600,000.
The Black, Manafort partners have woven such an intricate web of connections that the strands become entangled at times. Lobbyist Kelly served as finance chairman of the National Democratic Institute, a public-interest organization established by Congress to promote democracy in underdeveloped countries. The institute recently sent observers to try to ensure a fair election in the Philippines. Yet Kelly's firm, for a reported $900,000 fee, represents Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos, who stands accused of having stolen the vote. Manafort for one sees no conflict. He points out that the firm urged Marcos to try to make the elections more credible to American observers. "What we've tried to do is make it more of a Chicago-style election and not Mexico's," he explained.
As a political firm, Black, Manafort represents Democrats and Republicans alike--and sometimes candidates running for the same seat. Kelly, for instance, is doing some fund raising for Democratic Senate Candidates John Breaux in Louisiana, Bob Graham in Florida and Patrick Leahy in Vermont. Atwater and Black are consultants for the Republican opponents in these contests. In the race for the 1988 Republican presidential nomination, Atwater advises Bush, while Stone advises Kemp. Stone and Atwater's offices are right across the hall from each other, prompting one congressional aide to ask facetiously, "Why have primaries for the nomination? Why not have the candidates go over to Black, Manafort & Stone and argue it out?"
Stone and Atwater present a contrast in styles. Stone, who practices the hardball politics he first learned as an aide to convicted Watergate Co- Conspirator Charles Colson, fancies $400 suits and lawn parties. With his heavy-lidded eyes and frosty demeanor, he openly derides Atwater's client, Vice President Bush, as a "weenie." Atwater, an impish good ole boy from South Carolina, wears jeans and twangs an electric guitar. Both, however, drive Mercedes.
For all its diverse interests, the firm remains "loyal to the President," says Black. "We would never lobby against Star Wars, for example." The firm has nonetheless attacked the President's tax-reform bill on behalf of corporate clients seeking to preserve their loopholes, and it did not hesitate to lobby for quotas on shoe imports on behalf of the Footwear Industries of America, even though Reagan strongly opposed the bill as protectionist. And at times the firm does show some selectivity. A few years back, it turned down Libya's Muammar Gaddafi as a client.

ROGER STONE
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roger_Stone
As a student at The George Washington University in
1972, he invited Jeb Magruder to speak at a Young
Republicans Club, then successfully hit up Magruder for
a job with Richard Nixon's storiedCommittee to
Re-elect the President.[10] Stone's political career
began in earnest with activities such as contributing
money to a possible rival of Nixon in the name of the
Young Socialist Alliance — then slipping the receipt to
the Manchester Union-Leader. He also got a spy hired by
the Hubert Humphrey campaign who became Humphrey's
driver. By day, Stone was officially a scheduler in the
Nixon campaign. "By night, I'm trafficking in the black
arts. Nixon's people were obsessed with
intelligence."[2]
After Nixon won the 1972 presidential election, Stone
worked for the administration in the Office of Economic
Opportunity. After Nixon resigned, Stone went to work
for Bob Dole, then was fired after columnist Jack
Anderson publicly identified Stone as a Nixon dirty
trickster.In 1976 he worked in Ronald Reagan's
campaign for president, and in 1977 became national
chairman of the Young Republicans.[2]
Career, 1980-1992
Stone went on to serve as chief strategist for Governor
Tom Kean's campaign for Governor of New Jersey in 1981
and for his re-election campaign in 1985.[7]
Stone, the "keeper of the Nixon flame",[11], was an
adviser to the former President in his
post-presidential years, serving as "Nixon's man in
Washington".[12] Stone was a protégé of former
Connecticut Governor John Davis Lodge, who introduced
the young Stone to then former Vice President Nixon in
1967.[13]
Jon Sears recruited Stone to work in Ronald Reagan's
presidential campaign in 1980 and 1984, in which he
served as Eastern Regional Political Director. Stone
said that former McCarthyisytRoy Cohn helped him
arrange for John B. Anderson to get the nomination of
the Liberal Party of New York, a move that would help
split the opposition to Reagan in the state. Stone said
Cohn gave him a suitcase that Stone avoided opening
and, as instructed by Cohn, dropped it off at the
office of a lawyer influential in Liberal Party
circles. Reagan carried the state with 46 percent of
the vote. Speaking after the statute of limitations for
bribery had expired, Stone later said, "I paid his law
firm. Legal fees. I don't know what he did for the
money, but whatever it was, the Liberal party reached
its right conclusion out of a matter of principle."[2]
With partners Charlie Black and Paul Manafort, he
formed Black, Manafort, and Stone[14][15], a political
consulting firm, described as "instrumental in the
success of Ronald Reagan's 1984 campaign." Republican
political strategist Lee Atwater later joined the firm.
According to Time, in George H. W. Bush's 1988
presidential campaign, Stone was involved with the
controversial Willie Horton advertisements targeted
against Democratic opponent Michael Dukakis.[16] Stone
has said that he urged Republican political strategist
Lee Atwater not to include Horton in the ad.[7] Stone
denied making or distributing the advertisement, and
said that was Atwater's doing.[7]

SpitzerAntagonist Advises Ex-Madam’s Campaign
Roger J. Stone Jr. has more than a bit of a thing forEliot Spitzer.
In 2008, he reveled in the disclosure of the governor’s dalliance with prostitutes from a pricey escort service called Emperor’s Club V.I.P. He delighted in Mr. Spitzer’s downfall — and continues to do so. He even claimed credit for bringing Mr. Spitzer’s penchant to the attention of the federal authorities, however unconvincingly.
So it has been little surprise that the self-proclaimed Dark Prince of political dirty tricks has placed himself squarely behind the unorthodox campaign for governor — and grand décolletage — of one Kristin Davis, an erstwhile madam for another escort service.
Ms. Davis’s unproven claim to have also served as Mr. Spitzer’s procurer is so often repeated in her news releases that one might mistake it for a central plank of her platform, which includes legalizing, regulating and taxing prostitution and marijuana, and legalizing same-sex marriage.
Thus it is perhaps no coincidence that nearly every reference to her run for the office that Mr. Spitzer once held brings with it, for better or worse, an echo of his disgrace.
Though Mr. Stone’s name does not appear on the State Board of Elections forms filed by the committee set up by Ms. Davis, the Friends of Kristin Davis, the three-page document nonetheless reveal traces of Mr. Stone, a longtime Republican consultant who has referred to politics as “performance art” and cultivates in a cloak-and-dagger sensibility.
For example, the home telephone number for the campaign’s treasurer, Andrew Miller, is in fact linked to Mr. Stone; the cellphone for Mr. Miller is associated with Mr. Stone’s Florida public relations company, Drake Ventures.
Indeed, Mr. Miller, a fresh-faced young man in his 20s, is the stepson of Mr. Stone’s assistant of 18 years, Diane Thorne, Mr. Stone said in an e-mail message.
And then there is the matter of the address the young treasurer listed on the Board of Elections committee registration form — 55 West 25th Street in Manhattan. It appears that it is from Apartment 25L in that building that the campaign is run.
It was in the same stylish building that Ashley Dupré, the Emperor’s Club prostitute whose tryst with Mr. Spitzer was detailed in federal court papers, lived at the time of their assignation and its disclosure.
Mr. Stone, who also acknowledged by e-mail that the apartment there is his, said he chose the address for another reason. “I moved to the building from Central Park South because a friend and his wife live in a two-bedroom apartment on a high floor and love the building,” he wrote.
He said in an interview that he did not learn that Ms. Dupré had lived in the same building until after he moved in, calling it “happenstance.”
A visit to the address resulted in the doorman ringing the apartment to see if Mr. Miller was home, and an invitation. Mr. Miller, with a wool hat pulled down over his ears, was waiting at the elevator.
He said it was no secret who was running things.
“This is not our first rodeo,” he said, adding that if there had been any intention to mask Mr. Stone’s central role in the committee, a post office box would have been listed on the committee registration instead of Ms. Dupré’s old building on West 25th Street. (In fact, the Board of Elections form explicitly prohibits that, requiring a residential address.)
The preliminary filings contain no information about the committee’s financial support, which Ms. Davis’s campaign is not required by law to disclose until July 15.
The relationship between Mr. Stone and Mr. Spitzer is, to say the least, complex. Mr. Stone was fired as a consultant to New York State Senate Republicans in summer 2007 after accusations surfaced that he had left a threatening voice mail message for Mr. Spitzer’s father, Bernard.
Mr. Stone has denied making the call, a tirade laced with invective that threatened to force the elder Mr. Spitzer to explain under oath what the caller characterized as “shady campaign loans” Mr. Spitzer made to his son during the former governor’s unsuccessful 1994 bid for attorney general.
For his part, Mr. Stone denied in the interview that Ms. Davis’s run for office, which he called “a guerrilla campaign,” was in any way a vendetta against Mr. Spitzer.
Asked to describe his role, he said, “I guess I’m the campaign strategist.”
Ms. Davis served a three-month jail sentence on Rikers Island in 2008 after pleading guilty to promoting prostitution. Mr. Stone said she had been the victim of a great injustice — “screwed by the system,” as he put it. Her case, he said, and her bail had been handled differently from those of men who had been facing the same charges.
Mr. Stone said that she would be able to secure the 50,000 signatures she needed to get on the Libertarian Party ballot line and that her views on legalizing prostitution, marijuana and same-sex marriage left her well positioned to raise money.
“It’s not about Eliot Spitzer at this point; it’s about moving beyond that,” he said in the interview. “She makes a compelling case as to why legalizing prostitution would both protect the public safety and promote the public health, and pay part of the public deficit. And the same thing with marijuana, which is now on the ballot in California, so not so far-fetched. And the fact that the Senate Democrats have not passed gay marriage, she and I both believe, is a disgrace.”
For her part, Ms. Davis said in an interview that she agreed with her strategist — that the focus on Mr. Spitzer did not stem from any vendetta. But she said she thought her jail term, and the fact that Mr. Spitzer faced no criminal charges, underscored a fundamental unfairness in the system.
“I’m not a particularly bitter person,” she said. “I committed a crime, I took responsibility for that crime and I served time for it. And I hope to be viewed as someone who took responsibility for their actions.”
But, she added, “I do believe that any public official, especially someone who is a chief executive of a state, should not be allowed to betray the public trust.”
In addition to the jail term Ms. Davis received in the unrelated case, she noted that one of the Emperor’s Club defendants is still sitting in federal prison for his crimes, while Mr. Spitzer is considering a political comeback.
“I think that does set a bad precedent,” she said, noting the number of state political figures, like Gov. David A. Paterson and a former State Senate majority leader, Joseph L. Bruno, who have been convicted of crimes or are under investigation.
“There are different standards for the political class and the average person,” she said. “We mention Spitzer a lot and that refreshes people on what’s going on in the political world.”
Jack Begg contributed research.
Next, the report by Brian Abrams at Asylum NY takes a dismissive tone in covering the recent Davis fundraiser that was announced before the fact here on IPR. As Abrams tells it…

Carl Paladino, who has thrown buckets of unsubstantiated mud at Andrew Cuomo, may be preparing for a further escalation with documents alleging that Cuomo is anti-Semitic, The Post has learned.
The Paladino campaign has boasted of having a massive amount of negative research on Cuomo, while Paladino himself has charged that Cuomo had multiple "paramours" while married toKerry Kennedy-- suggesting Cuomo was kicked out of his home by her and that he possesses "legendary" sexual prowess.
Nearly 500 pages of the anti-Cuomo documents were obtained by The Post from a source with ties to Paladino's gubernatorial campaign adviser, Roger Stone, a self-styledGOPdirty-trickster whose protégé Michael Caputo is Paladino's campaign manager.
Robert Kalfus
WHOA! Andrew Cuomo may soon be the target of dirty-tricks accusations of anti-Semitism.
DISPATCHES FROM THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL
Caputo bragged to an Albany newspaper in July that, "We have six binders on Cuomo. We're going to win the campaign on it."
The massive collection obtained by The Post dates to 2002 and looks like it might have been prepared for former Gov. George Pataki's re-election campaign, which was preparing for a possible challenge from Cuomo, the former federal Housing secretary who unsuccessfully sought to become the Democratic nominee for governor eight years ago.
The collection of anti-Cuomo material is marked as coming from Drake Ventures, a Florida-based public-relations firm owned by Stone.
"Memorandum. Date: June 21, 2001. Re:Andrew Cuomoan anti-Semite?" one page of the material begins.
"While Americans are sleeping in the streets and rundown HUD housing, their landlord Andrew Cuomo is in bed with terrorists?" it continues.
"First: Instead of focusing on the poor and homeless here in the United States, HUD Secretary Cuomo traveled to the Middle East to befriend terroristYasser Arafatand Palestine.
"Now: Cuomo names Russell Simmons, a supporter of anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan, a 'senior black advisor' to his campaign," the document continues.
Cuomo, as HUD secretary, met with Arafat and Palestinian leaders in 2000 to discuss housing and refugee issues during an official visit to the Mideast.
Renowned hip-hop entrepreneur andPhat Farmfashion creator Simmons has been a longtime Cuomo supporter and financial backer, as well as an aggressive opponent of anti-Semitism and racism. He hosted theNation of Islamleader and his sons at his lower Manhattan home last year when they were in New York to greet Libyan leader Moammar Khadafy.
Asked if the Paladino campaign possessed the documents obtained by The Post and planned to use them in the campaign, Caputo responded, "No comment."
Cuomo campaign spokesman Josh Vlasto angrily claimed the documents prove "Paladino had a premeditated plan to disseminate false and vicious rumors."
"His hypocrisy knows no bounds as he falsely tries to smear someone as anti-Semitic when he himself refers to a Jewish elected official as a Hitler and an antichrist," continued Vlasto.
"That's why Paladino's campaign is being called one of the dirtiest in the country."
Paladino came in for considerable criticism last month for backing up a political ally's comparison of Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver, an Orthodox Jew, to Hitler and the "Antichrist."
"What the hell is wrong with him? Assemblyman Dov Hikind, an Orthodox Jew, said of Paladino.
"Is he out of his freakin' mind?" he continued.

A Dirty Trickster's Bush Bonanza
The man who stopped Miami recount makes gaming millions
By Wayne Barrett Tuesday, Apr 13 2004
Roger Stone, the dirty-tricks hobgoblin of Republican politics, has exploited his Bush connections to become an influence-peddling force in the $13 billion Indian gaming industry.Stone's booming business in such a federally regulated enterprise makes his recent pro bono orchestration of Al Sharpton's double-edged presidential campaign an even stranger covert caper.
The longtime GOP consultant's reward for fomenting the "Brooks Brothers mob" that shut down the Miami-Dade recount in 2000 was an invitation within days of Bush's election to serve on the Department of Interior transition working group—helping, in his own words, to staff its Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA). Stone has since used this unannounced perch to market himself to tribes and developers from Louisiana to California, earning fat fees and contingent percentages of future casino revenue. Just two of the five deals examined by the Voice are projected to pay him at least $8 million, and perhaps as much as $13 million.
Time, The Washington Post and The New York Times have published exposés about Bush's BIA, with a February story highlighting $45 million in payments to two GOP lobbyists from four tribes since 2001. But no one has focused on Stone's profiteering, which, unlike the payments to registered lobbyists, is not reported on any public filings. He is routinely brought into casino deals in part because of his perceived ability to win Bush and/or Republican congressional support, a role ostensibly inconsistent with his financing and staffing of the Bush-bashing reverend's campaign.
But it was Sharpton himself who focused the Voice's attention on Stone's bonanza, indicating that business motives pushed Stone to take over the campaign. "It's all about Indian gaming," he said. When pressed recently to explain, Sharpton said, "I will not spell it out." In fact, Stone has a history of bizarre political operations, beginning with his Watergate-era infiltration of the McGovern campaign. And Sharpton has his own bunko background—beating up on Democrats to benefit behind-the-scenes GOP allies like Al D'Amato, George Pataki, and Mike Bloomberg.
"I helped Sharpton because I like him," says Stone, a veteran of the Nixon, Reagan, Dole, and Bush campaigns, who steered $288,000 to Sharpton's National Action Network last year. "There's no connection between helping Sharpton and my business." But with adviser Stone scripting Sharpton, any damage the reverend might do would burnish Stone's bona fides with Bush, thereby bolstering his leverage for second-term gaming deals. Stone and Sharpton concede that they still talk, and Stone's ally, Charles Halloran, remains the manager of Sharpton's suspended campaign, organizing fundraisers to pay off a $634,500 debt, $134,000 of it due to five Stone-tied aides.
STONE'S MULTIMILLION-DOLLAR MOTIVATION
The 52-year-old Stone, who's based in Miami but also has an apartment at 40 Central Park South, acknowledges he has "a piece" of at least three deals. His 2002 contract with Buena Vista Rancheria of the Me-Wuk Indians entitles him to a $250,000 retainer plus 7.5 percent of annual "gaming revenue" from a $150 million casino 35 miles southwest of Sacramento, California. Warring factions of this minuscule tribe have long stymied a deal, but they signed a tentative agreement in December that must be finalized by July. It is currently under review by BIA. Stone also has lucrative stakes in casinos connected to two other California tribes—Enterprise Rancheria, which has a BIA application and a congressional corrections bill currently under consideration, and the Lytton Band of Pomo Indians, which won BIA approval in October for a San Francisco Bay casino opposed by Senator Dianne**Feinstein**.
The Buena Vista agreement calls for a $25 million payment to the tribal leader who retained Stone and permits the construction of twocasinos, at least one of which would pay Stone his percent off the top. Documents obtained by the Voice also list the value of Stone's interest in the Enterprise project—40 miles north of Sacramento—as between $4.2 million and $6.3 million over five years.
Sam Katz, the general partner in the Lytton deal, refuses to reveal what Stone's holdings are worth, saying only that Stone "will get a portion of the proceeds" when the already negotiated sale to another gaming company is completed. Tony Cohen, the tribe's attorney, said Katz's group would be paid "tens of millions of dollars," and Stone has told business associates that he will earn $4 million to $7 million, a figure he would not confirm to the Voice.
In addition to these three stakeholder positions, a Stone prospectus, circulated last summer in California for casino investors, listed four other tribes that supposedly had agreements with Stone. The 157-page prospectus names Stone as one of three "participants" in Ikon LLC, http://www.villagevoice.com/related/to/Ikon+LLC/ a Mississippi company that the brochure says "now has an agreement" with the Ione Band of Miwok Indians to build a $120 million casino in Plymouth, California. Stone contends that he hasn't been associated with Ione since 2001. He dismisses the prospectus as old, though documents dated August 14, 2002, and March 10, 2003, appear in it, andIkon is the name of his Washington-based firm.
Willard "Bud" Smith, another Ikon principal, adamantly denied that Stone is currently associated with the project. If he is, he'd be in line for another multimillion-dollar payday should it be built. Ione, however, is the thorniest issue on BIA's current agenda, with the DOI inspector general investigating the project, as well as a storm of local and congressional opposition to it. Ione, Enterprise, and Stone's Buena Vista faction—if the settlement is approved—will be landless tribes, making them the heaviest lobbying lifts, requiring administrative or congressional exemptions to obtain federally designated land in trust. That's precisely what Lytton won in October. With potential multimillion-dollar deals like these dangling, it's highly unlikely that Stone would take on the Sharpton campaign if it antagonized his Bush allies.

Charlie Black was one of those angry warriors. A flock of young College Republicans became the foot soldiers of the cause. Two students in Massachusetts name Abramoff and Norquist joined the effort. Black would have been a role model.
A Washington Post story from April 7, 1985, "Partners in Political PR Firm Typify Republican New Breed" was rich in details about Black and his gang as they created the prototype of the modern Republican grifter:
On the day after President Reagan defeated Walter F. Mondale, H. Lee Atwaterwas a rich man.
The deputy campaign manager of the Reagan-Bush '84 Committee became a full partner in the political consulting arm of Black, Manafort and Stone, a firm that exemplifies a key element of the vitality of the Republican Party: the potential for young tough, savvy political operatives to move into the political market and make big bucks.
In just five years, Black, Manafort and Stone -- and now Atwater -- has become a major new presence in the capital, specializing in connections, influence and hardball politics. It combines a political client list of influential elected officials with a lobbying clientele of corporations, foreign governments and trade associations.
Atwater and his colleagues represent the cream of Republican inside operatives. Charlie Black was a senior adviser to the Reagan '84 campaign and the campaign strategist for Sens. Jesse Helms (R-N.C.) and Phil Gramm (R-Tex.). Paul Manafort was the political director of the GOP convention in Dallas. Roger Stone was Northeast coordinator for Reagan-Bush.
Candidates are lining up to buy the firm's campaign services, and the list of lobbying clients is growing steadily.
The list includes: the investment banking firm of Salomon Brothers, which last year paid $135,000 to Black, Manafort and Stone; Kaman Aerospace, which laid out $255,000; the Dominican Republic, which signed on at $69,788 a quarter, and Rupert Murdoch's Australia-based The News Corp. Ltd., which is paying $180,000 a year for what the firm describes as an "activity limited to internal conferences and phone calls with client." [snip]
All between the ages of 32 and 36, Black, Manafort, Stone and Atwater were adolescents and college students in the 1960s and early 1970s, when the civil rights movement and opposition to the Vietnam war animated many of the nation's youth. [snip]
In the years that followed, these young men threw themselves into the trench warfare of the College Republicans and Young Republicans In 1977, at 25, Stone won the presidency of the Young Republicans in a campaign managed by Manafort.
Four years earlier, Atwater managed the successful campaign of Karl Rove to be president of the College Republicans, defeating John T. (Terry) Dolan, whose drive was run by Stone, Manafort and Black. Black and Stone were the founders of the National Conservative Political Action Committee in 1975, with Dolan.
At the same time they began to move up the ladder of political campaigns, working variously for Helms, Sen. Strom Thurmond (R-S.C.), James Buckley, who was then a senator from New York, Richard M. Nixon, the Republican National Committee and, ultimately, Ronald Reagan. [snip]
The firm was formed out of political upheaval in the 1980 campaign. Immediately after the New Hampshire primary, Reagan fired his top staff, including Black, his field director. Black then founded the firm and Manafort and Stone joined, continuing work for the campaign as consultants. [snip]
One of the key talents they bring to a campaign is a killer instinct for what is known in the trade as "driving up the opposition's negatives." [snip]
In 1978, this translated into the Atwater-designed destruction of Charles D. (Pug) Ravenel, the Democratic nominee challenging Thurmond. [snip]
Similarly Black, who served as campaign strategist for Gramm's successful fight for a Texas Senate seat against Democrat Lloyd Doggett in the recent election, recalled:
"Doggett got the endorsement of the big gay PAC in San Antonio. That wasn't unusual, but then we got onto the fact that the gays had a male strip show at some bar and Doggett takes that money. That became a matter of his judgment, so we rolled it out there."

Stone's 30th birthday party was given at the "21" Club by Roy Cohn.[9]
With partners Charlie Black and Paul Manafort, he formed Black, Manafort, and Stone[11]^(http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Roger_J._Stone,_Jr.#cite_note-10)[12]^(http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Roger_J._Stone,_Jr.#cite_note-11), a political consulting firm, described as "instrumental in the success of Ronald Reagan's 1984 campaign." Lee Atwater later joined the firm.
According to Time magazine, in the 1988 George H. W. Bush presidential campaign, Stone was involved with the Willie Horton advertisements targeted against Democratic opponent Michael Dukakis.[13]^(http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Roger_J._Stone,_Jr.#cite_note-time-12) The Horton ad is credited by some with contributing to the defeat of Dukakis by portraying him as soft on crime. Stone has said that he urged Lee Atwater not to include Horton in the ad.[7]^(http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Roger_J._Stone,_Jr.#cite_note-autogenerated1-6)
Life and career, 1993-2003
Roger and his wife Ann Stone divorced in 1991, shortly after they helped start Republicans for Choice.
In 1995, Stone was the president of Republican Senator Arlen Specter's campaign for the 1996 Republican Presidential nomination [14]^(http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Roger_J._Stone,_Jr.#cite_note-13). Specter withdrew early in the campaign season with less than 2% support.
Stone was for many years a lobbyist for Donald Trump on behalf of his casino business [15]^(http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Roger_J._Stone,_Jr.#cite_note-14) and was also involved in opposing expanded casino gambling in New York State, a position that brought him into conflict with Governor George Pataki.[16]^(http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Roger_J._Stone,_Jr.#cite_note-tomasky-15)

What follows is a timeline based on the research of different diaries here at dKOS. The timeline reveals the pattern of dirty tricks perpetrated by Karl Rove and Roger Stone, and how the TANG Forgeries fit right into their M.O. of forging documents with zingers in them and then tipping off the press to blow apart their political opponents. Some of this has been proved and some is conjecture, and it should be noted that no one has yet shown the picture above to Burkett to see if he can ID Stone. Plus someone else might have seen Stone at the Livestock Show--if it was him--because the Unknown Man supposedly asked around as to where he could find Burkett. So we need to dig in here and find out what else is out there to put into this timeline. It could lead to the truth.
Diaries :: Sherlock Google's diary ::
TANG Forgeries Timeline or "Lucy, you got some 'splainin to do!"
1972 - 1973 - Col. Killian has Mrs. Knox type numerous memos for his personal file on the problem of George W. Bush and James Bath skipping their medical exam, not showing up for duty and trying to get special favors. The memos are typed on an old Olympia manual, which had an early "th" superscript--one unlike the forged CBS Killian memos.
1972 - Roger Stone and Chuck Colson work together in the Dirty Tricks Department of the Nixon White House. "Stone first made news in the Nixon Watergate scandal, when it was revealed that the 19-year-old apprentice McCarthyite had infiltrated George McGovern's 1972 presidential campaign as part of CREEP's sabotage plan." http://www.dissidentvoice.org/Feb04/Ireland0221.htm
1972 - Republican anti-war liberal Pete McCloskey, who was thinking about challenging Nixon for the Presidential nomination, receives Roger Stone's check from Young Socialist group. Stone immediately tips press as soon as bank clears his phony Young Socialist bank account. McCloskey never runs.
1986 - Rove allegedly bugs his own office to smear Democrat Mark White in Texas Governor race. FBI Agent Rampton investigates but no charges are ever brought. The bug's battery use indicated it had operated for ONLY 15 MINUTES before it was discovered. http://www.austinchronicle.com/issues/dispatch/2000-09-29/pols_naked3.html http://www.documentaryfilms.net/Reviews/BushsBrain/
1990 - Rove destroys Jim Hightower in TX by having FBI Agent Rampton investigate all TX Democrat elected officials. http://www.documentaryfilms.net/Reviews/BushsBrain/
1992 - Phony Buchanan baby story hurts Pat in 1992 and in 2000, when he thought about the Reform Party. Mattie Lovlar betrays Stone and says they worked on it together. Stone denies it with his typical statement: "If there was a flyer, it wasn't from Roger Stone." http://www.villagevoice.com/news/0420,barrett,53586,6.html
1994 - Rove apparently starts whispering campaign about TX Governor Ann Richards being a coke-snorting lesbian.George W. Bush wins. http://www.documentaryfilms.net/Reviews/BushsBrain/
1996 - Stone's sex ad story in Enquirer and Star. Also reported that the Stones frequented DC sex club called The Capitol Couple. Stones deny the allegation, blaming a sick and disgruntled individual, but admits reveal that his own credit card paid for the ad. http://www.southcoasttoday.com/daily/09-96/09-13-96/a04wn026.htm
1996 - New Republic: Dana Milbank: "There were photos of her in a black negligee and him bare-chested, and there was an enumeration of her personal measurements. Stone said he had been set up, but he was forced to step down as an adviser to the Dole campaign." Stone goes on Today Show to deny it all. http://www.antiwar.com/justin/j011700.html
1996 - According to someone who worked with him, in 1996Karl Rove created flyers viciously attacking his own candidate, Harold See, running for Alabama State Supreme Court. The resulting backlash against the Democrat allowed See to win the race. http://www.talkingpointsmemo.com/archives/week_2004_10_10.php#003688
1998 - James Guckert allegedly goes to a December 1998 Christmas party near Leesburg, Va., which "always turns into an orgy toward the end." "The party was described as being predominantly for gay men, though not exclusively. The sources, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said that about 25 people attended." (Wash. Blade link below) Gannon perhaps met the Stones or another member of the GOP inner circle at this party near DC. http://www.washblade.com/2005/2-18/news/national/reporter.cfm
2000 - After losing NH primary, Rove apparently resorts to push-polling on McCain in the SC primary, intimating that McCain was mentally unstable, his wife was a drug addict and he had a black love-child from a prostitute. Bush campaign denies responsibility. http://www.documentaryfilms.net/Reviews/BushsBrain/
2000 - According to Jeffrey Toobin, Miami riot led by Stone, MacDougald also summoned by Baker. Nydia and her mother Olga help recruit Cubans for the Courthouse Riot and march advertised on Radio Mambi. From Dec. 4, 2000, Time Magazine: The organizers in the RV outside, who G.O.P. protesters have told Time were led by hardball Washington strategist Roger Stone, had phone banks churning out calls to Miami Republicans, urging them to storm downtown, while Stone directed the action with a walkie-talkie. (Stone could not be reached for comment.) - Jeffrey Toobin, Too Close to Call http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0375761071/103-7025856-3836615?%5Fencoding=UTF8 http://www.time.com/time/europe/magazine/2000/1204/cover_riot.html http://www.villagevoice.com/news/0405,barrett,50745,1.html
Nov. 13, 2000 - Stone starts campaign torecall Democratic FL State Supreme Court Justiceshearing the Gore vs. Bush case. Illegal campaign contributions eventually draw the attention of the FEC. http://www.buzzflash.com/analysis/03/09/15_recount.html
2000-2001 - By this time, Gannon has apparently met someone who brings him into White House Inner Circle. Both Gannon and the Stones actively using Internet to search for sex partners. 1996 ad says Nikki likes military men, so it's possible Gannon was found by the Stones on one of the military studs Web sites he was listed on or actually owned.
2001 - According to Toobin, Cheney calls Roger Stone to thank him for Miami Courthouse Riot, asks him what he would like as compensation (Jeffrey Toobin, Too Close to Call).
Feb 13, 2001 - Enquirer article on The Vault sex club in NYC says Roger and Nydia Stone used to be frequent customers. Sharon Stone also mentioned in article (no relation to Roger Stone--I hope) http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/4616/enq0213.html
2002 - Stone given lucrative Indian casino political consulting contracts. Stone allegedly does political dirty trick hit on BIA official standing in way of his casino clients. http://www.indianz.com/News/archive/001861.asp
2002 - Rove said to be behind GA Senate race ad associating Max Cleland with Osama Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein. http://www.documentaryfilms.net/Reviews/BushsBrain/
2003 - Stone calls up Al Sharpton and offers to manage his campaign and help him fundraise. http://www.villagevoice.com/news/0405,barrett,50745,1.html
January 17, 2004 - Michael Moore "Deserter" charge, Wesley Clark supports Moore's right to say it 5 days later. http://www.factcheck.org/article131.html
End of January 2004 - Kerry says Bush's TANG records not important. Terry McAuliffe says Bush was AWOL.
February 10, 2004 - White House does document dump and says it is the full release of Bush's TANG records--but later on many more real docs show up.
February 12, 2004 -Bill Burkettappears on Hardball and with James Moore tells the story of how in 1997 he heard Joe Albaugh from Bush's office talk to Adjutant General David James on speaker phone, to tell him that Dan Bartlett and Karen Hughes will be down to "clean up" then-Governor Bush's TANG files. This trip was ostensibly to write a book but really to prepare for his 1998 and 2000 runs and make sure nothing embarrassing was in the records. Chris Matthews asks Burkett to swear that he is telling the truth, as if he were in court. Burkett does. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6055867/
After February 12, 2004 - Rove and Bartlett, certainly alarmed at Burkett's appearance on Hardball, presumably hatch phony TANG documents plot and create forgeries with slight mistakes on the wrong typewriter, an electric typewriter. If it was them, they would have used the Olympia Manual memos Mrs. Knox said she originally typed for Killian in 1972 and 1973. They would then have called Stone and asked him to get them to Burkett, the perfect patsy for their scheme.
After February 12, 2004 - Bill Burkett says he starts receiving calls from a lady with a Latin accent named "Lucy Ramirez", who could be Nydia Stone, the Cuban wife of GOP dirty trickster Roger Stone. "Lucy" tells Burkett she has previously unknown memos from Col. Killian and that he Burkett should get them and give them to the Kerry campaign. She also convinces him to burn the originals so she can never be identified. Burkett thinks she is trying to keep an old sexual affair with Killian secret. Burkett arranges with "Lucy" to meet her at the huge Houston Livestock Show.
March 3, 2004 - According to Burkett's second story, Unknown Man asks for him at Livestock Show, finds him and hands him envelope containing the CBS TANG forgeries without saying a word (source: Bill Burkett USA TODAY) USA TODAY confirms that ANOTHER person, an unnamed woman, said Burkett gave her papers that day which she held for him until the event was over in a box. Burkett and USA Today know who this woman is. So the likelihood is that Burkett is telling the truth when he said he was given the envelope by the Unknown Man. Burkett has never been given a photo of Stone to ID.
March to August, 2004 - For whatever reason, Burkett sits on the memos for five months until the Swift Boat ads enrage him and he calls up Max Cleland. Cleland tells him he'll talk to Kerry but no one calls Burkett back on the documents. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6055867/
August 2004 - Mary Mapes, CBS Producer following up on TANG/AWOL, asks Burkett if there is anything new on the TANG story. He tells her of the Killian memos, thinking them real and that CBS News would have them checked by experts.
August 2004 - Roger and Nydia Stone miss first Republican Convention since 1968, taking a vacation in Spain. Stone says "It's pathetic that we are fighting over John Kerry's war record in Vietnam and George W. Bush's service in the National Guard given that there are a bunch of Islamic maniacs who want to wipe us off the face of the earth. I'll be on a beach in Barcelona." http://www.jewsweek.com/bin/en.jsp?enPage=BlankPage&enDisplay=view&enDispWhat=object&enD ispWho=Article%5El1391&enZone=Articles&enVersion=0
Sept. 8, 2004 - First CBS report on Killian memos. To protect a lady's honor, Southern Gentleman Burkett intimates that an officer named Conn gave him the TANG memos but Conn denies it. They report Dan Bartlett told John Roberts in the morning that "I have no reason to doubt their authenticity" so many times in the same way Roberts notes it in his book. Presumably this was the comment decided upon by he and Rove to make that day. Bartlett also says, "The memorandum in your possession shows that he spoke to the commander who made that order to talk about his personal situation and the fact that he is going to Alabama. So at every step of the way, President Bush was meeting his requirement. Granted permission to meet his requirement. And that's why President Bush was honorably discharged." Because Bartlett had used the forged copies to say that Bush fulfilled his TANG requirements, Roberts told his superiors, the memos are authenticated. Had Roberts been "played"? The trap, whoever forged the documents, was ready to close on Rather and destroy the potency of the TANG/AWOL issue.
September 8, 2004 - Within 18 minutes of the end of the TANG report, posts from "Buckhead" appear on FreeRepublic.com, saying he thinks something is phony. Within a few hours, Buckhead is putting forth forensic analyses of fonts and proportional spacing, claiming the memos are forged and actually word-processed. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/user-posts?more=25054500;name=Buckhead http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/user-posts?more=22146919;name=Buckhead http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/user-posts?more=22029527;name=Buckhead
September 9, 2004 - Media trumpets forgery claim, discrediting Rather and whole TANG issue.
September, 10 2004 - Jeff Gannonreceives a "scoop" from unknown person that Mapes was the CBS producer responsible. BEFORE writing his own scoop, Gannon tells Sean Hannity about Mapes. Hannity: HANNITY: "Now, Jeff Gannon, who is a terrific Washington bureau chief and White House correspondent for Talon News, actually shot me an e-mail today, and he's about to break a story in an exclusive about these CBS documents." HANNITY: "And apparently they're also, according to Jeff Gannon, the -- Talon News -- this woman, Mary Mapes, this Dallas producer, is under pressure for the [CBS] network, and now there's doubts about their authenticity has taken place." [The Sean Hannity Show, 9/10/04]
Sept. 11, 2004 - Rather interviews Mrs. Knox who tells him she typed memos like the docs but those are not them. She had an Olympia manual with only a primitive superscript "th", not an electric typewriter. Total corporatist media uproar over Rather not backing down. Burkett now admits the hint Conn gave him the memos was a ruse, that he was still trying to protect the honor of Lucy Ramirez. Press uses this change in story to discredit him. (help me find transcript link)
Sept. 11, 2004 - Dallas Morning News reveals inclusion of Staudt in 1973 Killian is incorrect and proves it to be a forgery. This was one of the main tip-offs inserted presumably by Bartlett and Rove to expose the forgery. http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/news/washington/elections2004/stories/091104dnpolguard.1 17c8.html
Sept. 15, 2004 - Marian Knox, Killian's secretary, recounts errors in TANG forgeries for the Dallas Morning News, including the inclusion of the Staudt name in the forged "sugar-coat" memo of 1973 and the word "billets" instead of "barracks". http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/dn/latestnews/stories/091504dnpolnatguard.1185eb4ae.html
Sept. 17, 2004 - Another Gannon story on Mapes with supposed inside source at CBS: "Sooner of (sic) later something like this was going to happen. When you see how hard they've been working this National Guard story, you know they weren't going to come up empty-handed one way or another."
Sept. 20, 2004 - Kerry starts attacking Bush heavily on Iraq War, gives 4-point plan for Iraq. Memo coverage dies down, as all pundits echo desire to get to issues of the present rather than dwelling on the past.
Sept. 20, 2004 - CBS News retracts claim of authenticity for Killian memos. Burkett admits a fellow Guard officer did not give him documents and tells of Lucy and the Unknown Man giving him the memos. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2004/09/15/60II/main643768.shtml
Sept. 21, 2004 - NY Post reports rumors that Roger Stone got the forgeries to Burkett. He has no comment. MacCauliffe repeats the Stone charge and asks the White House and RNC what they know about Stone and the documents. Stone later denies allegation but never provides an alibi for where he was on March 3, 2004, the day the Unknown Man gave Bill Burkett the envelope with the TANG Forgeries inside. http://www.democrats.org/news/200409210003.html http://www.democrats.org/news/200409210001.html
Sept. 21, 2004 - USA Today article on both parties accusing the other of forging the memos. http://www.usatoday.com/news/politicselections/nation/president/2004-09-21-cbs-parties_x.htm
Sept. 22, 2004 - Former New York Times columnist William Safire, quoting "U.S. Criminal Code, Chapter 63, Section 1343," wrote that a federal offense might actually have been committed when Rather and Mapes tried to hide their deception. "Whoever, having devised any scheme or artifice to defraud transmits or causes to be transmitted by means of wire, radio or television communication in interstate or foreign commerce, any writings for the purpose of executing such scheme or artifice, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 20 years, or both. At the root of what is today treated as an embarrassing blunder by duped CBS journalists," Safire wrote, "may turn out to be a felony by its faithless sources." (This was no doubt written by Safire a few days before the NY Post article on Roger Stone being the rumored source of the forgeries) http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2004/9/22/221524.shtml
Sept. 23, 2004 - Gannon also went after Mapes in this 9/23 Talon News story--now scrubbed: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1220416/posts
Sept. 24 2004 - After lawsuit, White House releases 1971 document showing the TANG Killian memos could have had superscript type in 1972. Republicans had been attacking TANG forgeries because they had superscript "th" and by withholding this document they had let Rather twist in the wind. Lost in the whole uproar is the fact that Mrs. Knox verified that there were original memos that she typed (on a manual with only a primitive superscript capability) and someone must have forged the CBS copies. http://www.bluelemur.com/index.php?p=324
Sept. 2004 - GOP House members, presumably getting call from White House, or seeing Stone rumor reports, DROP calls for a Wire Fraud investigation, as does the retiring William Safire. (could use a link on original story of GOP calling for Wire Fraud investigation)
Sept. 2004 - Media ignores Stone angle and trumpets the Fall of Dan Rather. No further mention of Stone at all.
February 2005 - Bill Burkett still stands by his story of Lucy Ramirez and the Unknown Man. ((need help with finding link on this one too)

I'm starting this thread on the infamous DIRTY TRICKSTER rather than place this
on all the redundant threads about Stone reporting Elliot Spitzer to the FBI.
TOPIC: Dirty tricks and the dirty tricksters who work behind the political scenes.
Stone may epitomize this genre of operative better than other "known" figures today, excepting Karl Rove.
Who is Roger Stone, Jr.? Buckley, Nixon, Reagan, Bush operative.
from Bush vs. Gore, the 'Arkansas Project,' the USA firings, and the Swiftboat Admiral
Jun-02-07 - http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.ph... )
"Roger J. Stone, Jr. is a long-time Republican dirty-tricks operative who led the mob that shut down the Miami-Dade County recount and helped make George W. Bush president in 2000. He was also a campaign strategist during the presidential campaigns of Presidents Nixon, Reagan and George Herbert Walker Bush. He is the chairman of the Fort Hill Group,a Washington, D.C.-based public affairs firm...." (http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Roger_J._Sto... )
This is another case of illegal and stealth funding. "... During the 2004 presidential primary, Stone served as a behind-the-scenes consultant to black firebrand Al Sharpton's campaign to win the Democratic Party nomination, prompting speculation that Sharpton's campaign was actually a stealth operation to weaken the party's chances of winning in the general election."
Roger Stone, Jr., began his career volunteering for William F. Buckley’s 1965 mayoral campaign, and has since had roles in the presidential campaigns of Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush. A veteran Republican operative, Stone went to Florida to help the Bush campaign" during the 2000 recount, where he is creditied with organizing the "recount riot." Remember that gaggle of Washington D.C. Congressional aides, the posers pretending to be enraged Floridians, yeah--the guys who got their daily marching orders slipped under hotel doors in envelopes, that's the crew Stone puportedly directed via walkie-talkie from across the street.
Stone has ties to Morton Blackwell's Leadership Institute and started his career in the College Republican National Committee during the Nixon era, when Blackwell "had turned it into a school for political dirty tricks. Both Stone and Blackwell have been closely connected since the 1970's with right-wing fundraiser Richard Viguerie." (http://www.abunchofgreedyrightwingliarswhoworkforwalmar... )
Richard Viguerie, is connected to Scaife, and like Scaife, has been dubbed "the funding father of the conservative movement". See American Target below.
Stone is associated with the swiftboating of Dan Rather. Check this DU thread: rathergate.com! - http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.ph...

American Target "is" Richard Viguerie.Viguerie is connected to Falwell via the "People of Faith 2000" National Advisory Committee. Richard Viguerie is
(http://www.atheists.org/flash.line/falwell2.htm ) "considered the godfather of many conservative and religious right causes, going back to the early 1970s when he began a direct mail operation on behalf of political candidates and groups. He is head of American Target Advertising in Washington, D.C. Viguerie is considered the architect of the alliance between political conservatives and evangelical-fundamentalist Christians; he helped form groups like the American Life Lobby which began training conservative Christians and integrating them into the ranks of the GOP. He also has had contacts within the beltway for nearly three decades, and when not raising money for candidates like Jesse Helms, Viguerie has used his direct mail organization to assist more shadowy groups like theWorld Anti-Communist League -- described by sociologist and researcher Sarah Diamond as "a multinational network of Nazi war criminals, Latin American death squad leaders, North American racists and anti-Semites, and fascist politicians from every continent..."
Viguerie has also maintained close ties with Rev. Moon'sUnification Church cult, which even rescued him from bankruptcy in the 1980s."

A slash-and-burn Republican black-bag election tamperer and consultant whose mentor was the repulsive Roy Cohn — the redbaiting hatchet man for Senator Joe McCarthy. Stone helped Ollie North raise money for the Nicaraguan contras, and was a close associate of the notorious Lee Atwater ...
... Jeffrey Toobin ... the 2000 Florida election — details how Stone was summoned by Bush recount chief James Baker to disrupt the vote counting (Stone and his Cuban wife, Nydia, organized a screaming mob of Miami Cubans outside the headquarters of the canvassing board — Stone directed the mob by walkie-talkie from across the street — and intimidated the board into ending the count).....
When Sharpton launched a vicious attack on Howard Dean for his supposed “anti-black agenda,” the man behind the curtain was Stone, who crowed to The New York Times that he “helped set the tone and direction” of the blast at Dean, while the research for it was provided by the man Stone had installed as Sharpton’s campaign manager, Charles Halloran, one of a half-dozen top aides to Sharpton who worked for Stone in previous campaigns....
Stone has acknowledged that he “helped Sharpton” meet the 20-state, $5,000-contribution threshold required for federal matching funds. Example, according to The Voice: “In Florida, Stone’s wife, Nydia; son Scott; daughter-in-law Laurie; mother-in-law Olga Bertran; Stone’s executive assistant Dianne Thorne; Tim Suereth, who lives with Thorne; and Halloran’s mother, all pushed Sharpton comfortably over the threshold, donating $250 apiece .........

Roger Stone, the dirty-tricks hobgoblin of Republican politics, has exploited his Bush connections to become an influence-peddling force in the $13 billion Indian gaming industry. Stone's booming business in such a federally regulated enterprise makes his recent pro bono orchestration of Al Sharpton's double-edged presidential campaign an even stranger covert caper.
But no one has focused on Stone's profiteering, which, unlike the payments to registered lobbyists, is not reported on any public filings. .......

A Republican operative who helped Neal McCaleb and Aurene Martin get their jobs at the Bureau of Indian Affairs admits to orchestrating the campaign to fire former BIA deputy Wayne Smith.
Smith was ousted after letters from Phil Bersinger, a former business partner, surfaced in the spring of 2002. In the letters, Bersinger touted his close connections to Smith, who handled land-into-trust, federal recognition and gaming issues for the BIA.
At the time, Smith was trying to resolve a leadership dispute within a small California tribe. Republican operative Roger Stoneworked with one faction of the Buena Vista Rancheria that wants a casino. According to The Village Voice, this faction has a contract to pay Stone a $250,000 retainer plus 7.5 percent of annual gaming revenue from the proposed casino.
When Smith refused to overturn a decision favoring Stone's clients, Stone told The Voice that he "faxed the letters to certain members" of the press, leading to stories in Time Magazine and other outlets. The stories suggested Smith was using his position to help Bersinger hire tribal clients.
Neal McCaleb eventually got rid of Smith
Trump, Rove, Norton, Barbour, Brulte = Inside Bush's Indian Bureau - A labyrinth of lobbyists is manufacturing millions
Wayne Barrett, Jennifer Suh - April 27th, 2004 - http://www.villagevoice.com/news/0417,barrett,53013,1.h...
... Wayne Smith ... the '90s, he'd been chief deputy to California's Republican attorney general ... at 52, he was assistant deputy secretary at Interior, managing the $3.5 billion budget of the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) and overseeing the hotly politicized Indian casino industry ...
... in his new job—which he got on the recommendation of a colleague from his AG days, Sue Wooldridge, top aide to Secretary of the Interior Gale Norton. Neal McCaleb, who was Smith's immediate boss and ran BIA, put him in charge of gaming ... BIA remained a bureaucratic land where the only chiefs are buttoned-down lobbyists, raking in millions from tribes whose casinos are virtually franchises to print influence-peddling largesse.
Smith was troubled early ... his office was lobbied on behalf of two tribes by Diane Allbaugh, the wife of Joe Allbaugh, head of the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the 2000 national campaign manager for Bush. Diane Allbaugh, who worked at a firm headed by former Republican National Committee chair Haley Barbour, appeared on behalf of a Louisiana casino developer under contract with the Jena Band of Choctaw Indians and the Paucatuck Eastern Pequots, a Connecticut tribe then tied to Donald Trump. McCaleb urged Smith to take her calls, explaining that he and Joe Allbaugh were old Oklahoma friends and that Allbaugh had "helped convince the White House" to install him at BIA.
... lobbyist who concerned Smith more than any other ... he'd been on the transition working group for Interior, staffing the agency. The dark force of Indian gaming, retained as a hidden consultant by tribes and developers across the country, was Roger Stone, a veteran of eight Republican presidential campaigns and star of the Miami/Dade recount shutdown. Scott Reed is often his up-front lobbyist face.
... Reed began leaning on Smith in late January 2002. Smith even got a note supporting the Stone faction from theRepublican leader of the California state senate, Jim Brulte. Stone had recommended the retention of a consulting firm owned by Brulte's former chief of staff, Tom Ross, and Ross wrote the memo summarizing the Buena Vista case that Brulte enclosed. Later in 2002, Stone would host a fundraiser for Brulte at his 40 Central Park South apartment and take Brulte to visit Stone's longtime client Donald Trump. The Brulte intervention sent a particularly strong message to Smith because he'd attended a 2001 Palm Springs meeting involving Karl Roveand a dozen tribes, where Brulte was introduced as "the administration's main man in California—especially for Indian matters." .
Swiftboating Al Gore from Argentina, SIDE, Israeli wire transfers, spy files, forgery, Bush & Menem
There just is no way to make this stuff up!! This is a court pleading. Unbelievable.
First get some spy files from Israel, alter them to look like Argentine spy files, make them implicate Bush and Menem in corruption, blame Gore for the forged documents. Sound familiar. Did I mention blackmailing bribed journalists and, of course, the perennial covert Republican dirty tricksters. This genre of dirty trick came to be known as "swiftboating" when done to Kerry four years later by the same players!!

Olavar (Triumph Communications International Group, Plaintiffs-Appellants, v.
Santibañes, Defendant-Appellee, and Ikon Holdings, Inc., t/a Ikon Public Affairs, Dick Morris, Roger Stone, Eileen McGann, John Does, Defendants.
Appeal from the United States District Court Decided: December 1, 2005
Triumph Communications International Group, Incorporated is a corporation that provides political consulting and public relations services and is owned and operated solely by Mattie Lolavar.
In early 2000, Miss Lolavar began discussions with defendant Dick Morris about the possibility of her working with Craig Snyder and defendant Roger Stone, who are partners in defendant IKON Holdings, Inc., another political consulting firm ... about the possibility of Triumph Communications’ assistance with work that IKON was doing for the government of Argentina.
These discussions lead to two contracts ... and provided that Triumph would act as a public relations consultant to "the Secretary of Intelligence of Argentina" as well as arrange various media events...
Miss Lolavar went to Argentina in August 2000 to assist de Santibañes with preparations for his testimony in Argentine congressional hearings inquiring into allegations that he and the Argentine intelligence agency, known as SIDE, were responsible for bribing various Argentine senators in exchange for political support. Morris and Stone assigned other tasks to Miss Lolavar while she was in Argentina. Among other acts, they instructed her to contact SIDE and obtain a list of journalists who accepted bribes from that organization in order to harm the credibility of those same journalists in reporting on a bribery scandal surrounding de Santibañes and President de la Rua, as well as requiring her to spread false information to the press concerning de la Rua’s political opponent, Dr. Carlos Menem. The charges and counter-charges related here are from the papers in the court file, as are the other facts.
A request that occasioned controversy between Miss Lolavar and the defendants was Morris and Stone’s request that she serve as an intermediary in an anonymous wire transfer of funds to an official in Israel. These funds were to be paid to secure intelligence files from the Israeli government to assist de la Rua’s political domestic disputes with Menem, and to imply a corrupt relationship between Menem and George W. Bush, who was then running against Albert Gore for the United States presidency. These files were to be altered by Miss Lolavar to appear to be SIDE documents.
When the defendants became concerned that this plot would be discovered and traced back to them, they ordered Miss Lolavar to orchestrate a press response to blame Vice President Gore for the dissemination of the documents, since it was known to them that the Gore campaign had been attempting to connect Menem with the Bush campaign.
Afterwords: Roger Stone, Donald Trump, Jack Abramoff, Gaming Gaming, and Scalping the Tribes.
How is it that two consumate Republican insiders, both purported specialists in illegal
funding of campaigns, one a political dirty trickster who stays behind the scenes and
the other a felonious convict linked to the White House political office, each manage
to garner tens of millions of dollars from Indian tribes in the gaming rackets? By
working both sides at once, of course. And, how is it that one gets convicted and goes
to jail while the other keeps getting paid? Who is scalping whom for how much, who has
lost their scalp, who still has theirs, and will Trump's hair survive the scandals?
With all the attention to Abramoff defrauding the Tribes, why isn't there more attention on
who else is involved in all of gaming's political machinations and influence peddling?
Who has lucrative contracts to receive a percentage of the gross from Indian casinos, and
how did they obtain that? Where is all that money going? How much ends up in the coffers of
politicos like Sen. John McCain, and why? Who else is corruptly scalping the Tribes?
And how much of the scalping goes to legal and illegal campaign contributions?
Questions are yet to be answered!!
Top Operative Roger Stone Leaves GOP
Roger Stone, the youngest staffer on Richard Nixon’s 1972 re-election campaign and a guy who sports a Nixon tattoo on his back, today announced that he's left the Republican Party. He is now registered as a Libertarian. Stone’s last official act as a Republican was to vote for Ron Paul in the Florida primary.
Stone gave the reasons for abandoning the GOP in his must-read blog, The Stone Zone. Here are some highlights. :
The party of Eisenhower, Nixon and Reagan would not recognize today Grand Old Party. The party went from a Main Street party under Reagan to a Wall Street Party under the Bushes.
“Bush 41 broke his "no new taxes" pledge and President George W. Bush's new entitlement programs and reckless spending made us the party of big spending and big government,” wrote Stone.
The political operative is upset that social conservative wing of the party “demands Litmus tests on issues like abortion and gay marriage equality from those who share their conservative economic and foreign policy views making a cohesive coalition of social and economic conservatives ultimately impossible.”
On the presidential race: A party that “can only produce Mitt Romney who was an independent during the Reagan-Bush years (and only converted to conservatism after serving one term as governor never intending to run for re-election while always planning to run for president), Newt Gingrich, a thrice married ego-maniac with delusions of grandeur and Rick Santorum, a religious fanatic, who would tell other people how to live, as presidential candidates proves the GOP may be going the way as the Whigs.”
According to Stone, the difference between Democrats and Republicans is rhetorical: “Under the Democrats you're going to hell. Under the Republicans, you are still going to hell but you are going more slowly,”
Stone’s departure should be a wake-up call for the GOP.

Investigative Reports
Roger Stone Quits Republican Party, Infects Ron Paul Revolution
As Groucho Marx once said, “I don’t want to belong to any club that will accept me as a member.” Similarly, Ron Paul supporters woudn’t want to belong to any movement infected by unindicted Watergate co-conspirator Roger Stone, and yet this wart on the body politic insists upon attaching himself.
Eulogized in the neoconservative Weekly Standard for his mafia ties and “playful stabs at blackmail over fabricated infractions,” Stone “is just keeping the game sharp,” Matt LaBash writes. “If you truly excel at the long con, raising it to a form of art marks will never know they have been taken….Such is the life of Roger Stone, political operative, Nixon-era dirty trickster, and professional lord of mischief. It’s hard to assume he’s not up to something because he always is….Naifs might say he’s a cancer on the body politic, everything that is wrong with today’s system. But maybe he is just its purest distillation. Politics is war and he is one of the fiercest warriors, with the battle scars to prove it….In Stone’s capers, revenge is a powerful motivator.”
Recently Stone has come to understand the truism that “the difference between the two major parties has become rhetoric,” he writes on his blog, StoneZone.
“To put it bluntly, the Republican Party is hopelessly f*cked up,” the dirty trickster pontificates.
He has taken issue with the Republican Party’s support of more taxes, entitlement programs, and reckless spending characteristic of big government.
Ever the opportunist, Stone has changed his voter registration to the Libertarian Party in anticipation of the “Ron Paul revolution(that) shows me a Libertarian movement is coming,” he writes. “It will gather momentum in 2012 and most likely manifest itself in 2016. Ron Paul’s incredibly strong support among young voters is the tip-off. American voters have never been offered a presidential candidate who took conservative positions on fiscal issues like spending, debt, and taxes, while taking freedom-based (i.e. liberal) positions on choice, gay marriage, and drug-law reform.”
Stone feels he resonates with the Ron Paul revolutionbecause “the Libertarian Party stands for both economic and personal freedom. Libertarians oppose spending, debt, taxes, big government, and costly foreign wars where our national interests are not clear. We support a woman’s right to choose an abortion, gay marriage equality, and the legalization of marijuana.”
Stone should come out and say it: he is libertine, not libertarian.
Libertarians believe in personal responsibility, Stone prefers self-indulgence. A monogamous, married man like Paul would have nothing in common with a swinging degenerate like Stone.
The real reason he is trying to attach himself to Paul is that he believes that conservatives are leaning towards this candidate and his message, and Stone wants to remain relevant.
However, one can be sure he is not acting according to his principles — that is, if he even has any.
Ron Paul would not have approved of Stone’s misuse of federal officials to entrap Gov. Eliot Spitzer in a prostitution sting to prevent him from investigating Wall Street.
Nor would Paul have approved of Stone’s interference and obstructionism within federal agencies on behalf of casino interests, which are pouring millions of dollars into federal campaigns.
Stone has lobbied the federal government on behalf of Indian tribes, which are the ultimate entitlement societies.
As for his opposition to “costly wars,” BKSH, a PR firm whose antecedent was Black, Manafort, (Roger) Stone, and Kelly, sold the war on Iraq to the American people through a campaign of lies.
A member of CREEP (The Committee to Reelect President Richard M. Nixon, whose visage is permanently etched on Stone’s back), which was characterized by controversial fundraising strategies involving slush funds and money laundering, Stone has enjoyed a long history with the neocons.
A dispenser of sub rosa patronage, the godfather of neoconservatism, Irving Kristol, lined up academics for Nixon’s re-election campaign.
Nixon transformed LBJ’s Office of Economic of Economic Opportunity from entitlements to defense contracting, giving birth to multi-billion dollar federal giveaways through Alaska Native Corporations. As Stone has pointed out, Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, a hawkish neocon, formerly ran Nixon’s OEO.
Nixon unveiled a campaign of dirty tricks against Helen Gahagan Douglas which was so vicious and unrelenting that she became ill. Smearing her as “pink lady” whose sympathy for the communists was “pink right down to her underwear,” Douglas in turn imbued Nixon with the enduring moniker of “Tricky Dick.”
Stone has carried on Nixon’s devilish smear tactics and campaigns of personal defamation, which have contributed substantially to the toxic atmosphere in public life today.
Stone still enjoys a cozy relationship withBill Kristol, the Editor of the neoconservative rag,The Weekly Standard, which has pushed for perpetual war.
Taxes are increasing to accommodate the numerous federal giveaways secured by lobbyists like Stone. Has he disavowed his profession yet?
Stone has also subverted the courts and judiciary, in violation of the separation of powers doctrine, to use the government as a weapon against political and business rivals. Surely, Paul wouldn’t approve of this either. In fact, he’d probably find it unconstitutional.
“I leave the GOP with a heavy heart,” Stone writes. “I don’t think I will have the opportunity to come back….Good bye, Grand Old Party.”
Good bye, Roger. Please take Sen. John McCain with you, but whatever you do, don’t infect the Ron Paul revolution. With friends like you, who need enemies?”
